After waiting for years until the time was right in my life to get a puppy, I started my search. Of course I wanted to rescue a dog rather than go to a breeder, so I looked at shelters and rescues. It was unbelievable how difficult and downright rude some of them were. I was about to give up on shelters and rescues; but these guys changed my mind. They are understaffed and overworked just like the rest, but you wouldn't know it by their attitudes and efficiency. They also worked so kindly with me and around my schedule since I was coming from out of town. They charged next to nothing for a healthy, beautiful, amazing puppy who had his shots, was neutered, and microchipped. They also gave me a bag of his current food to get started or transition slowly to another brand, a leash, collar, and toys. I have never heard of a shelter doing all of that. And really, it's not about the stuff, it was the experience. It was the friendly, smiling voice on the phone, the follow up afterward. If I ever decide to get another animal, I know where I am going, and I would recommend them to anyone.
