My sister adopted her dog from Karen, and I immediately fell in love. It was only a few short months before my husband and I also made the 3+ hour trip to adopt our yorkie mix from Karen. She was very helpful, staying in contact before the adoption by phone and email. We had such a great experience that my aunt and her family also adopted from Karen. We brought home a dog with a clean bill of health, and thoughtful extras (leash, collar, toys) other shelters don't provide. They really go above and beyond. We can't imagine a day without our wild and crazy little guy, and I have no doubt that we will look to Karen first for any additional pets!
