Everyone at D&R Rescue Inc. was very helpful and professional. In May of 2012, I lost my 14 year old toy poodle. In June and July, I started searching petfinder for the perfect new dog. I found a picture of Landry, a 6 month old miniature poodle. From the picture and description he sounded ideal. I filled out an on-line application and submitted it. Just a few hours later, Karen White contacted me. She asked if I had the time to train a puppy. I told her I had the time but that I would need some guidance. I've had dogs before, but Landry would be my first puppy.

It turned out that Landry was in a foster home about 10 minutes away from my house. Karen checked my vet references that afternoon and I got to meet Landry the next day. His foster mom was as helpful as could be. She answered all of my questions and provided lots of helpful information. She had another foster dog and it was obvious she was completely dedicated to fostering. I have since started fostering myself and I know what it involves. It takes a lot of work and dedication. D&R paid for Landry's vaccinations, neuter surgery, heartworm test and microchip. He also came with a lovely collar and leash. The adoption fee was approximately half of the amount they spent on vet services for him. Karen is a vet tech and she has been an excellent resource whenever I have questions or concerns about dog care. I cannot say enough good things about D&R.
