I am honored to provide positive feedback for D & R Rescue. In Janurary of 2012, my husband and I were looking for a companion for our two-year-old, Shih Tzu. We searched many rescue agencies surrounding us, but did not have any luck because we felt as if the animals weren't really given the adequate care that they needed; therefore, some were very skiddish and didn't want to be around other dogs.

We found Bebe, that we adopted, through D & R Rescue and inquired about her. The response from D & R was prompt and answered all of our questions. The best part was the fact that she had been nursed back to health from a sad situation by a previous owner. She was surrendered with scabs all over her body from lack of a healthy diet, and D & R took the time to feed her properly, groom, and vaccinate her so that her skin was healed by the time she was ready for adoption. She had been subjected to other dogs and was house broken when she came to us. Her transition to our house was very simple because of the love, care, and concern that D & R had for Bebe before she was adopted into our family.

Due to the fact that we were so impressed with the care that this organization has for animals and their professionalism, my husband and I drove 2.5 hours to adopt Bebe. I highly recommend adopting from them and giving an animal another chance at the life they deserve.
