After fostering for the D&R Rescue for a few years, we have nothing but the high praise for the operational methods of this rescue. We have adopted two adorable and loving dogs from the D&R Rescue as well as fostered and "potty-trained" many dogs. The rescue works very hard to make sure the right people adopt the right dog. Numerous hours are spent checking with the references on the adoption form as well as the vet check. It's not about just getting the dog a home, its about getting the dog the right forever home. Consequently, the D&R has "repeat" adoptions and recommendations for new adoptions. We believe this speaks volumes for the dedicated work that is done by this rescue. These dogs are family ready. The rescue makes sure the dog has all its vet work done, groomed, micro chipped and has a new leash and collar. We as foster parents, get the easy job of loving them until the magic of finding these little dogs a forever home happens. Karen is one of the most dedicated people we know for the well-being of all animals. We feel privileged to foster her dogs.
