Review for Rise Against Hunger, Raleigh, NC, USA

Rating: 2 stars

Our church has spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of man hours packaging this rice/soy mixture with vitamins added. I have the same question about the recipients. I would feel better if I knew specifically recipients (where and when) they received these packages and if they actually ate and enjoyed the food mixtures. I fear that the food is sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

Role:  Volunteer

Thank you for volunteering with us! We are always working to increase transparency, so we certainly appreciate this feedback. Right now, emails are sent to the organizers of meal packaging events once their meals have been shipped and/or received by our in-country partners. We had 87,000 volunteers in 2012 and unfortunately we currently don't have the database capacity to store the email addresses of each of these wonderful, giving people. We leave it up to event organizers to share those alerts with their volunteers. If you fail to hear anything, you're more than welcome to reach out to us directly! I'd be happy to look up where and when your meals were received if you leave the name of the organization you volunteered with and the date of your service. Thanks again for helping us on our journey to end hunger. We appreciate your support.
