Review for Make A Difference, Goa, , India
i think especially when we are young, all of us are filled with this desire to "make a difference"..do something revolutionary....blame it on fiery blood bursting with passion and energy..but ive always wanted to do something..leave my mark on this world..and this though has always been in my mind..but until now..ive either never had the time or just didnt have an outlet...now that im in collge..im on my own..ive kind of made time to pursue my ambition..when i first came across this organisation and people around me told me to join up..i wasnt sure if i was cut out for what they asked of me..my time..my commitment..but i did join..totally on impulse..and i dont regret my decision..not even for a second..its just been a few classes..but the experience has totally changed me..and i definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone..a lot of the times..im this "nobody" i dont prescribe to societal norms of "popular" and "the in crowd"....just like a normal teen, i have doubts and questions about my purpose in life..where i fit in..what is to become of me...im not saying all my gazillions of questions have been answered..but im getting there..MAD has given me a sense of purpose..i feel like i matter..every week, there are a bunch of kids out there.."my" kids who wait for me to come there and talk with them..sing and play and laugh with them..share my knowledge with them and they share theirs with me..when im done with my class for a week, they eagerly tell me to come back the following week...its a definite "feel good" source..i feel like im wanted..needed..people care about me..so yeah..MAD had made a difference in my life and im so damn grateful for that....

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
seeing the smiles on the kids faces..listening to them laugh and share their stories..knowing that i have a role to play in their present and also in shaping their future
