My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Make A Difference, Goa, , India
I learnt about MAD two years back when a group of my friends were wanting to teach English at orphanages. MAD came across as a vibrant, energetic, young team with the vision to bridge the inequalities in society. They showed no hesitation to launch its second wing in my city, Chennai. Today, MAD has marked its presence in 10 other cities, making it evident that youngsters of today are focussed to make a difference. Hearty wishes to expand and reach out to as many underprivileged and possible.

Review for Bhumi, Chennai, , India
I have been associated with Bhumi for more than two years. The primary objective of the organisation is to empower the underprivileged through education. When I joined the organisation in 2007, the group was small and had only one active programme - Kanini [E-literacy]. Today, Bhumi boasts of a high volunteer ratio, with many ongoing academic and environmental programmes.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
young, energetic, enthusiastic to improve the current structures of the ongoing programmes, with the drive to change the current educational scenario by contributing a minimum of two hours at a nearby orphanage / village community centre.
