Review for VIBHA Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I had this nonchalant attitude towards social service in general and didn't care much about social inequality. I thought I was also part of the same fabric and there was nothing I could do about it. I started volunteering with Vibha because I was required to fulfill community service hours. My aim was to get a certificate for the required hours.

I volunteered for Super 16 which brought me in close contact with other volunteers and organizers. Even with my indifference towards the cause I was mighty impressed by the dedication of the volunteers. The execution of the event was no less than any professionally organized event if not better. That convinced me to find out how Vibha operates. I read all the details on the website and asked a ton of questions to convince myself that the efforts were going in the right direction.

During this process, I also realized that I don't have to have a whole lot to give some. For some, social inequality is not a choice they made and I as a relatively fortunate member of the society have a moral responsibility to do something about it. I decided to be an active volunteer with Vibha and have been since. My goal is to make Vibha proud to have me as a volunteer as much as I am proud to be a part of it.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Absolutely devoted to the cause.
