Review for Primate Rescue Center, Nicholasville, KY, USA
I am a Primate Pal for the lovely chimpanzee Martina, and have sponsored Zulu, another chimpanzee, as a gift for a friend. I have found PRC to be incredibly well-run and very good at reaching out to supporters. The time I visited, I saw a tidy and competently run facility adhering to high standards. I love all of the enrichment activities for the primates. I really love it when they put out a call to Primate Pals for things like peanut butter! It's easy to go to the store, and fun to think about the primates eating the peanut butter you send them. Or playing with toys, or whatever it is you want to donate. The organization's commitment to the top sanctuary protocols and standards is exemplary. I am proud of these folks, and so happy to be affiliated with them.
Review for Primate Rescue Center, Nicholasville, KY, USA
I learned of Primate Rescue Center several years ago when, as a journalist, I interviewed the director for a radio story. I was so taken with the commitment and professionalism of the place. Always, the primates come first. They are not handled by humans, except as necessary for their health. In other words, they are allowed to be as wild as they can be, within safe bounds. To think that we have this amazing sanctuary here in a rural part of Kentucky makes me very proud. No longer a journalist, I now support the center as much as I can.
