My name is Phyllis Esposito-Bellocchio. I am a Board Member at TEAL our mission is to TELL EVERY AMAZING LADY ABOUT OVARIAN CANCER. Our mission is in our name. My Cousin Louisa McGregor was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and we could not find a walk in NY. With that being said she started her own and myself along with our family members and friends were right behind her to accomplish her goal. We are the largest ovarian cancer walk in NYC. Unfortunately, we lost Louisa on March 8, 2012, she lost the battle to this silent killer. Louisa did everything in her power to tell everyone she came in contact with about Ovarian Cancer its symptoms and screenings. Myself along with the other board members and volunteers do everything in our power to work on awareness so that less women will be come in contact with this horror. Awareness is key. I am proud to say that our goal is to keep growing and move forward to raise awareness and funds that we can pass along to the wonderful people who are trying to treat and find a cure for ovarian cancer.
