Review for Make A Difference, Goa, , India

Rating: 5 stars

My experience with MADD has been one of a lifetime. I have had only four classes with the class 5 students at arya anathalaya so far but I have already developed a fairly strong bond with the kids I teach. Every Monday, I find myself eagerly awaiting saturdays so that I can meet them again. The syllabus is designed in such a way so as to make it easier for them to understand the basic nuances and grasp the concepts of English easily while enjoying themselves thoroughly. Not only do we teach them english, we educate them and mould them in the best possible way so that they can be MOULTED as good human beings and resposible citizens. In this way they can, in the future, not only earn their own livelihood but also stand at par with the rest of the society with full dignity and self respect. I am also amazed by the level of dedication and commitment my co volunteers show and am impressed by the passion of the youth. Within MAD, the professionalism they show is incredible. Their stress on punctuality is also worth mentioning. The seniors are very very appreciative which inspires us to work even harder and remain focussed. It gives me a great sense of gratification seeing wide smiles light up the faces of the kids when we go there and spend time with them. At the end of the day I am proud of contributing and MAKING A DIFFERENCE towards the society. I am a proud and devoted member of MAD and wish it great success in the years ahead....:)

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing the passion for learning they have developed in the growing buds of our nation.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the learning and teaching style in which even I can become a little kid for that duration...though i am supposedly a TEACHER...;)

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

dedicated, committed, passionate, appreciative, inspiring, cooperative, understanding, friendly........and the list continues.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

cater to the needs of more under privileged kids and teach them other things besides english to make them employable.

Ways to make it better...

we would have been provided with the supporting material...even we are students after all.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

lack of funds.

One thing I'd also say is that...

by involving the youth they are helping in building future SOCIAL ENTRPRENEURS.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009
