My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Make A Difference, Goa, , India
learning- There is so much I learn when I teach kids every week from their curious and innocent doubts. satisfying- makes me feel good if I'm able to communicate to them through my teaching and seeing them switch from their mother tongue to broken English when they try to communicate with me has been highly satisfying. challenging- working on innovative ways to keep the class from running away to play or to amalgamate learning and playing to help them learn. Being a board member adds more interesting things to my MAD life with ways to recruit genuine volunteers, spread the word about MAD,convince donors to fund the initiatives, generate results, I'm doing my bit in joining lots of loose threads and making MAD one strong organisation :)

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the kids' efforts to talk in English to the sisters/brothers who teach them. and the kids now being able to look at varied things as career options as a direct result of placement projects.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
find ways to have inter-city volunteer exchange programs
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
recruiting volunteers from varied backgrounds while the only thing running common in them is the passion to do something for the underprivileged and MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Volunteers include students as young as 15 yrs to senior managers in MNC's
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
change the bleak future staring these children in their faces and build a better India with efficient Indians.
Ways to make it better...
we could give this more time out of our daily routine other than the 2 hrs every week.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
funds to carry on the planned initiatives smoothly and co-ordination
One thing I'd also say is that...
once the credibility of such NGO's is established, all the legalities involved with funds and stuff should be simplified
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every week
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
