Review for Make A Difference, Goa, , India
As simple as it may sound, 'Make a Difference'(aka MAD), a youth and educational NGO started two years back and with a presence in more than 10 cities in the country, has been doing just what the title suggests... MAD primarily focuses on imparting spoken English and computer skills to underpriveleged children. This is apart from the various educational activities such as field trips, camps etc regulary organised to help the children become better informed reagrding careers for their future. It is very heartening to observe the levels of passion and commitment shown by its volunteers, most of them being college students. As I had read somewhere, 'while we teach children all about life, children teach us what life is all about', MAD has opened a two way forum for its children and volunteers to learn from each other.
