Review for Make A Difference, Goa, , India
M.A.D has already made a difference in my life, all the areas of my life.I teach at Snehabhavan,Palluruthy-a kid's centre. The kid's here love all volunteers very much, as though we are their own. They started loving me so much right from the begining I hadn't done much for them but they didn;t stop loving. They taught me a new lesson in love, unconditional love. Once i was asked to explain to the kids on the need to study English.I am a public speaker but here i fell short of words.I cudn't think of anything simple that the kids would understand so that they learn english.I spoke just a couple of sentences. This incident changed my approach towards my studies.Eah topic I come across I question myself on the need to study this topic and its applications. I need to be very simple when I talk with kids. This helped me during the seminars i take.It helped me to present complex topics in simple format. I greatly respect the M.A.D rule thet you shouldn't hit the students or be rude to them. This helped in building my patience as I just couldn't be angry infront of the kids and set a bad example. Just a few months in M.A.D and I feel I have been here for long, making the difference and moving the difference.
More Feedback
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
always willing to help.In scientific terms i would say that the volunteers were of a different frequency.I knew i had to be part of this frequency range to work efficiently in M.A.D.The frequency range extended from Make A Difference to Made A Difference.
