Review for Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, Inc., Dallas, TX, USA
My relationship with GALT began when a couple of Greyhound puppies from Oklahoma City needed rescue. Our local greyhound rescue only takes retired racers, but they referred me to GALT. They told me GALT takes puppies. I had one puppy at my house already and one just hours away from being euthanized and the Oklahoma City animal shelter. I was scrambling to find a rescue to take them into their program. No one had room! I messaged the GALT facebook page and begged for help. Within minutes they agreed to help and immediately got in touch with the shelter and faxed them their 501c3. I was then given go ahead to pick the greyhound puppy up less 45 minutes before she was to be euthanized. They saved her life. Once I got her to my home I realized she had some fear aggression issues. I was really worried what her future was going to be. GALT reassured me they have some awesome trainer/fosters that will work with her for as long as she needs. Both greyhounds ended up in fabulous homes and I still get updates. I love it! Months later they took another greyhound puppy for me from the Enid shelter. They help a great deal with transport and make it very easy. I look forward to a long relationship this rescue and I can't say enough good things about them! Chelsi Young- Animal rescuer/volunteer
