Review for S M Sehgal Foundation, Gurgaon, Haryana (India), , India

Rating: 5 stars

My experience with IRRAD has been one of constant learning and appreciation of the tremendous amount of grassroots work that they have accomplished in the Mewat province of rural Haryana. I have interacted with their trustees and staff on a regular basis over the last couple of years. I have also gone on a field trip to their sites in Mewat, Haryana and spent several days with their staff in Gurgaon near Delhi. IRRAD is one of the most highly organized and profesionally managed non-profit organization serving the rural development community in India.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my travels to many field sites where they work and have notice the remarkable gains they have made in water resources management, education, public health, and enhancing the quality of women's participation in civil society. BRAVO.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

their willingness and interest in sharing their work with anybody at anytime.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

totally committed to the cause of enabling the rural poor in enhancing the quality of their lives. They are all dedicated, professional, diligent, and hard working.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

develop the next level of infrastructure to scale their successes in the 18 model villages to over 200 neighboring villages.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  Professional with expertise in this field & I communicate with IRRAD staff and trustees on a regular basis to learn about their programs. This way, I can enable many of my colleagues and students at our university to participate in IRRAD's outstanding research and service missions in rural developm.
