My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Empower 2 Play, Boston, MA, USA
I have enjoyed every moment of my time as a volunteer contributing writer for Empower 2 Play. This organization has an incredible mission: to use sports as a tool for leadership development, education, and community empowerment in under-resourced communities. E2P's approach to change-making involves a philosophy of inclusion and support, so that volunteers immediately feel able to make contributions from the moment they join. The team uses a variety of relevant and current technologies to ensure that communication between central management and the volunteer network remains clear. Founder and President, Coach AK, is always accessible so that I feel able to speak up with my ideas and unafraid to ask questions about each new initiative. Since this is a global organization, it is especially rewarding to contribute because I know that my work reaches communities around the world. I have also appreciated the chance to learn as I volunteer, through interviews with experts in the field and also about the world of nonprofit development in general. If you want an immediately rewarding volunteer experience, I would suggest joining the Empower 2 Play community as soon as possible.
Review for Sphoorti Foundation, Hyderabad, , India
I don't even know where to start because there are just so many good things to say about Sphoorti. On my first day, the children greeted me with hand holding and smiles. Ever since, we laugh and play games together once a week. The fact that these children have a safe place for fun is especially important to me. They are not only receiving a healthy childhood and an essential education, but also one of the fundamentals of a good life: a space for play. Sphoorti is well-known, with visitors coming by all the time. The organization runs smoothly but retains a feeling of "home" for the children. This is truly a unique and impressive organization.
