The VCIC continues to have a vital impact on the communities they serve. The outreach is still growing at a brisk pace with many groups and organizations requesting our assistance on issues of inclusion. During this past year, the VCIC did an outstanding job addressing the needs of the community. In light of the growing divisions around the nation, our services are needed now as much as ever. I will continue to serve and support the organization as much as possible. I still maintain that the VCIC is the best non-profit organization that I have ever worked with.

With all the craziness going on in the world right now, the VCIC continues to move forward, serving the community, focused on our mission. I serve on the board, BUT I also help facilitate programs for high school and college students. So, I get first hand knowledge of what the organization is really doing and the end results. I would sum my opinion this way, Great leadership, great people, great results.

During this past year, the VCIC continued to do an outstanding job addressing the needs of the community, despite the constraints and restrictions imposed by COVID-19. No matter what, the organization, led by an amazing cadre of individuals, remains focused on its mission. I support many organizations, but this is my top supported non-profit.

I should not be amazed by their performance, but I am. The VCIC continues to improve and excel at working to bring Virginians together. Each year they get better and reach more people. I love the purity of the organization and their focus on their goals. Although they could, the VCIC does not rest on their laurels, as they work to lead the way in bringing about inclusion and dialog with life changing programs.

I have serious concern for the lack of unity that our nation is going through and consequently what my children will have to live through. One of the few things that continues to give me hope is the VCIC. They remain unshaken and still focused on a purpose and cause, which can bring us out of the turmoil. In fact, the VCIC is the only organization that I know of that is capable of, and is taking on, this critical task. This is an organization that deserves all of our support. I continue to be proud and excited to support this wonderful organization and ask that others check it out and support it also.

So often in times of stress, an organization will crack and reveal its true, not so nice nature. I am happy to say that as the smoke of battle clears for a moment, I can see the VCIC still standing strong, as good as, if not better than before. They have kept up with the ever increasing demands for their services without the quality of their services falling. I am proud and excited to continue to support this wonderful organization and ask that others support it also.

Recently, when I look around at our nation, I see the seeds of hatred, bigotry, and division. I have real concern for what my children will have to live through – for what my country may become. One of the few things that give me hope is the VCIC. In the midst of the current societal chaos, it is one of the few organizations that remain unshaken and still focused on a purpose and cause, which can bring us out of the storm. What more important work is needed at this time? What better organization to facilitate peace and harmony in the commonwealth? The VCIC is the only organization that I know of that is capable of, and is taking on, this critical task. The VCIC deserves all of our support.

The VCIC is still standing strong, delivering an incredible service to the community. Skilled and caring individuals, working together as a close-knit team, continue to meet the rapidly growing concerns of the communities that they serve. The fact that a dramatic increase in the requests for services and the organization’s quick response, without turning anyone away to date, demonstrates the strength, flexibility, dedication and belief the VCIC has in their mission. I continue to stand strong in my support of the VCIC as the best non-profit organization that I have ever worked with. Also, in addition to being a board member, I volunteer extensively during the year to help with the actual programing.

The outreach is still growing at a brisk pace with many groups and organizations requesting our assistance on issues of inclusion. In light of the growing divisions around the nation, our services are needed now as much as ever. I continue to serve as a board member and to volunteer to help facilitate several programs a year, so my perspective is not just that of someone running an organization seeking help, but that of the end users receiving an incredible service. I still maintain that the VCV is the best non-profit organization that I have ever worked with.

I continue to be amazed at how well the organization is functioning and growing. With a small addition to the staff, the outreach of the VCIC has increased many fold, without a drop off in the quality of the services we offer. We now touch tens of thousands of people. Although I am a board member, I volunteer to help facilitate several programs a year, so I can attest to the life changing experiences that take place with our participants. It is the best non-profit organization that I have ever worked with.

This is a great organization that is deeply involved in developing solutions to difficult problems in the community. The staff and volunteers are dedicated and committed to providing life changing experiences to the delegates that attend the multiday programing. The VCIC is always striving to improve their programming and to operate as efficiently as possible.

The VCIC is a unique organization in that we work to bring about real change and not just grab headlines for our glory. Although we do address issues taking place in our communities, our focus is on reaching the people involved and helping them understand the underlying problems through dialog and discussion and then develop realistic solutions to those problems.
We are blessed to have a staff that is passionate about the mission and routinely goes above and beyond to meet the needs of the communities that we serve.
Although I serve on the board, I also volunteer as a staff member and facilitator for many of the VCIC programs during the year. It gives me an up-close view of what we’re providing and how our services are being received. I know of no other organization and programs that have this type of significant, life-changing affect on people.

I became aware of the VCIC by accident, but it has become a major part of my life. As well as being a board member, I volunteer to help facilitate programs several times a year. The only thing that limits my volunteer opportunities is the amount of vacation I get from my company. I believe in the mission of the VCIC and the methods that they utilize to achieve them. It is the most effective programming that I have ever encountered to improve inclusivity and acceptance in a community. As a father, I made sure all three of my children attended our showcase program, Connections, when they were old enough. I actually scaled back my involvement in other non-profits to maximize the time I had for the VCIC.
I think an example of the organization and its impact is when my youngest daughter met a young lady and former delegate of our college level program called, Allies Institute. After talking a while and getting to know each other the former delegate realized that she was my daughter. She looked at my daughter and exclaimed, “Do you know that your father changes lives?” I was touched to hear this, but I realize that I don’t change lives, the VCIC and its programs are the real agents of change.
