Review for Center for Biological Diversity Inc, Tucson, AZ, USA
Center for Biological Diversity is one of my two favorite wildlife non-profits. CBD's dynamite director and staff appear to be more concerned with protecting animals than with playing politics or securing big salaries. CBD's e-newsletters always tell me, succinctly, each project that they're working on now, and why what they're doing is so important. They also update me on successes, without going over the top in praising themselves. I love that they stand up to Big Oil and any industry or company that threatens the habitat and lives of free-roaming creatures. Most impressive is the fact that when I, as a vegan, wrote to Kieran telling him that his organization could not longer ignore the devasating effect that animal agriculture is having on wildlife and recommending the new book "Comfortably Unaware" by Dr. Richard Oppenlander, Kieran replied immediately, telling me that CBD is rolling out later this summer a program that addresses the environmental problems inherent in using animals as food.
