Review for Make A Difference, Goa, , India

Rating: 5 stars

A person like me who really loves spending time with kids feels that mad is the best place to be. I have a worked with quite a few ngos teaching kids but have never come accross 1 which is as active and organised as madd. The time commitment madd requires is also suitable for most of us(2hours a week).I feel this is my first step towards making a difference and the results show. I can feel the kids love us ,they like to be taught by us and look forward to the classes with us.I was extremely touched when one of my students actually came and touched my feet which shows how much they respect us. The best part about mad is the way the syllabus is structured , different activities for teaching a particular topic so that its more of fun and learning and quick learning. As a result the students dont get bored and are able to learn faster. The classes require some amount of preparation but its nice to see your work and effort getting good results. What builds and strengthens an organisation is its members which is a plus point madd has. everybody is extremely dedicated and friendly and in case of any problem which rarely happens we have a core committee which is extremely helpful, always available for us and friendly as well).Through madd i got to interact with a lot of new people and it definitely made me more outgoing considering the kind of introvert i was. i was also a bit confused about teaching as a career but now after working with madd i am sure i want to take this further. trust me teaching some1 gives you a lot of happiness and its better than any other happiness in the world.i really look forward to that 1 special day in the week which has changed my life!!!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the smiles on the faces of those kids when they see us and to see that the kids there know so much. i feel much more confident and feel i have headed in the right direction.also the other volunteers are extremely cooperative.
