Review for Lazarex Cancer Foundation, Danville, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Wonderful Nonprofit who helps the kids (and their families) who have traveled the "long road" of recovery from childhoods cancers!! My son has been battling a brain tumor for 10 years now. He is now on a clinical trial, Lazarex has helped tremendously!!

Review for Multiple Breed Rescue , Grafton, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I first heard about MBR in 2010 when we searched Petfinder.com to find our perfect pet. By chance, and by luck...it directed us to MBR. Once we arrived at the site I was AMAZED on how clean, how well cared for, and how much LOVE these rescues were given . Never, in a million years, would I ever visualize myself volunteering at a dog rescue. But once I saw the rescue, saw the "cared for" rescues...I KNEW that I wanted to be part of this awesome organization! I come weekly to clean, care for, and just give these rescues some old fashion love. I benefit MORE from my weekly visits then the dogs do. It is so rewarding (and emotional) for me, to watch these sometimes scared, sometimes neglected dogs transform as they are cared for at MBR and later welcomed into loving families. The work that MBR does is absolutely amazing, and I am so proud to be a very small part of it.

Review for Lazarex Cancer Foundation, Danville, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Lazarex has allowed myself and my son receive a rental car while he was on a clinical trial in Washington DC. After going through many, many rounds of chemotherapy for 8 years at our local children's hospital my sons oncologist suggest a clinical trial in Washington DC (we live in Cleveland, OH). My pessimism got the best of me and I was quick to think that "there was NOOOOO way we could afford it." After weeks of research the puzzle pieces fit together, and thankfully I found Lazarex who was committed to making it a reality. It has been almost a year since his trial ended, and he hasn't had to have anymore chemotherapy since for his pesky brain tumor. I can only pray that the trail will be published soon to help other kids fighting brain tumors. There are just not enough kind words to say about Lazarex and their wonderful staff!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Review for Miracle Flights, Las Vegas , NV, USA

Rating: 5 stars

We just used Miracle Flights for the first time last week. My 9-year old son has a brain tumor. We have been battling this locally for 6 years now. Finally, his team of local doctors suggested we try a clinical trial that is very specific to his type of tumor in Washington DC. Although we do have a small emergency fund set aside, I was hoping to use that for a more positive trip for my son. Miracle Flights helped me and my son get to Washington DC (from Cleveland) to begin this "journey." We still have to go back to DC once a month (Childrens National Medical Center). This would have cleaned us out financially AND we probably would've become another forclosure statistic if it weren't for Miracle Flights!
