Review for Make A Difference, Goa, , India

Rating: 5 stars

I have been with Make A Difference for the past 7 months and each moment has been challenging as well as gratifying to say the least. From forming a new team in Mumbai, to finding like minded people to increase the stability of the services and above all, going each week to teach an eager group of children, it has been one experience I shall always cherish. The part I love the most about MAD is the confidence of each volunteer in its core belief. The ideology is simple. Education is the key to solving the problems that our society faces. The method is simple too - Lets teach. A plan is chalked out. A syllabus provided. Each volunteer is trained to make maximum use of the syllabus to reach the goal i.e a fluent English speak group of children. Not only have I become a part of MAD but now, MAD has become a part of me. MAD has helped me stabilise and motivated me to be the best person I can be.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the confidence levels of the children we teach. Also, on a personal level, the moment you stop lazing around on a Saturday monday and get up early because a bunch of children are waiting for you, you know that you are a changed person.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the camaraderie between volunteers of different cities. Without having met or seen, each volunteer is just bound together with one aim and that forms friendships that even years of close proximity cant foster

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

friendly to say the least. Excited and determined.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

start more centres, thus in turn teach more children. set up computer centres and reading libraries in each of its exisiting centres.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
