My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Hope Connections for Cancer Support, Bethesda, MD, USA
I give this organization a thumbs down. I complained about the usability of their website, and they cut me off from the support groups, or any other services they might provide. They denied me service because I complained.
They changed their policies so that I had to register for each and every support group meeting. Their website required me to successfully deal with a captcha before being able to register. Because of the treatment for cancer, my vision is poor, and I was unable to solve the captchas. On one occasion I tried 20 times to solve the captchas and was unable to do so.
I complained to the organization, but they were unable or unwilling to resolve the problem.
Another thing to keep in mind about this organization is that their offices are located in Grosvenor Mansion in Bethesda, which is a very expensive piece of real estate. They bought that mansion to use as office space instead of using a more economical space. Is that where the donors' money really should be going?
Review for Benevolent Buddhist Temple Inc, Bethesda, MD, USA
I do not think this organization really exists. I suspect that it is part of a tax fraud.
I have visited their location at 404 Main St., Gaithersburg MD, and I have never seen anyone there. The door is always locked, on weekends, weekdays, always. I left messages on their voice mail and got no response. They don't seem to have a phone anymore.
I am suspicious because the rent on the real estate in this neighborhood is quite expensive. No one could rent there for years, and never use the space unless something funny was going on.
