My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Semper Fi & America's Fund, Oceanside, CA, USA
This organization has helped me to reach the elite level in paralympic sports. When I was injured in 2003 it was life changing knowing I would never be able to do many things due to the paralysis. Becoming affiliated with IMSFF and eventually Team Semper Fi got me involved in competitive sports and now my goal is to compete in the 2014 paralympic games in Sochi Russia.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Several ways, first and foremost was experiencing things with my fellow wounded comrades. Secondly being able to go and visit newly injured service members as a peer mentor. Finally the staff is amazing, they go above and beyond to help us get whatever it is we need whenever that may be.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Make sure more people knew bout them.

Review for Hope for the Warriors, Springfield, VA, USA
I am a retired Marine that was injured in Iraq in 2003, Hope For The Warriors has helped me connect with other Veterans through their Hope and Morale programs. This has helped me tremendously with my mental well being. Going on trips with fellow wounded Vets recharges my mind and I also get to make friends all over the Country.
The staff at H4W treats everyone of us like we are family, in turn we are one giant family. This is a great Organization and I am happy to be a part of them.

Several trips to NYC, Florida and Alabama. The time with my fellow Warriors and the staff were immeasurable in terms of how it helped me come out of my shell.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Help them find more avenues to raise money, so they could help more of us.

What, if any, change in your life has this group encouraged?
Therapy through warriors, in other words using the people that have been injured as a sounding board. Those that have been there know more about the symptoms anxiety and pain than any book a therapist has ever read.
