Honestly there are better places to donate to if you want to support veterans, give to them these people don't care about us.
Highly disappointed in this organization. I have been a loyal donor for many years and volunteered on a number of occasions at some events. I was always impressed and felt good about supporting them. I saw positive aspects in the work they did and met some of those helped and they too always had good things to say. At one of the last events I volunteered at a few months ago I happened to overhear a conversation between staff that left a bad taste, I chalked it up to someone having a bad day and moved on. Another incident occurred when I reached out for some clarification and help and it seemed I was bothering the person I spoke to and they were rather rude. Again I let it slide, but it was definitely a strike 2. I have inquired before and never treated so condescendingly and rudely. Then I saw a CNN story where a paid staff member was introduced as a volunteer?! Makes me wonder when the integrity of the organization went out the door, it made that overheard conversation from months prior be seen in a new light. Truly a shame that leadership has such poor judgement in the people it hires and promotes. Apparently some people are untouchable because of their relationships and never held accountable while scapegoats get blamed and even removed. Such a shame, I will be donating elsewhere going forward.
As a long-time supporter of Hope For The Warriors, I am continually impressed by the incredible impact they make on the lives of service members, veterans, and their families. Hope for the warriors is a organization that is there for veterans. The staff especially Lee kept checking on me even once my initial request for help was addressed. I am not just a one and done or a number to them. They really care about me and my family. Can't say that for a lot of places. Thank you Lee and hope.
Hope for the Warriors give so much to Veterans I am proud to donate to this organization.

A few years ago I asked Hope For The Warriors for new camera equipment as part of the A Warrior’s Wish program. At the time I had just been medically retired from the Army after 11 years of service and had to sell most of my equipment to pay bills and provide food for my family. After the Wish was fulfilled, it drastically changed and continues to have a huge impact on my life. Today, I am living out my dream of taking photos at sporting events.
As a supporter of veterans' causes, I'm concerned about the allocation of funds by Hope For The Warriors. Despite an annual budget of approximately $8 million, the organization has awarded modest scholarship amounts over the past years:
2022: $40,015
2021: $44,000
2020: $27,500
2019: $29,000
2018: $35,500
2017: $30,500
This discrepancy raises questions about their spending priorities. Veterans and donors deserve transparency and assurance that contributions are used effectively to support those in need.
I had a horrible experience with Jenna La Fretta, the caseworker who did not assist me. I am a 90% service-connected disabled veteran who is in dire need of rental assistance. I had surgery on my service-connected disability (I'm in a cast) and unable to workat this time. I reached out to this organization and was denied assistance because I could not prove "sustainability". Mind you, I am now 48 years old and have been working since I was 17. I served in the military for 13 years and worked in a hospital for 10 years leading up to my surgery. I told her I am able to provide documentation and she still denied me. After I was served a 3-Day Notice to Pay or Quit by my landlord, Hope for the Warriors took weeks to respond. They have now started the Eviction process. Then, they asked for additional docs which I provided right away and I was still denied. My fellow veterans, please do not reach out to this organization because they will waste your time. You have to go through the hole of a needle to get help from them. They do not care. Please go to USACARES, they are amazing! I wish I could give this organization zero stars. They are horrible!!!

Every member of the warrior community — active duty or veteran, military family member or caregiver, family of the fallen — who reach out to Hope For The Warriors goes through a thorough assessment process that helps us understand each individual’s need or goal. We then evaluate how we can best help based on set criteria and available resources. Every person is given a custom list of resources to assist them on their journey, even if we are not able to offer direct assistance through our programs and services.
Once again, Hope for the Warriors came through and pulled me back from the dark abyss. Second time they’ve set me up to reconnect with brothers and sisters from all over the country. I have no words to express my gratitude for what this means to me.
Thank you Hope For The Warriors Warrior’s Wish program for allowing me to continue following my passion of automotive metal working.
Proud to volunteer my time for such a great organization. Was at the Invitational and it was an honor to see what all this great organization does for our heroes and their families. Carry on the great work.
Hope staff truly care about the health and welfare of military and family members and have in place services and clinics to meet the mission. Thank You
This Non-profit organization for post 9/11 veterans, Service members and Families provides services at no cost. Please take the time to search their site and 4 star rating and see how 90.1 of each dollar donated goes back to programs supporting programs. This is a family core organization that genuinely fully invests everything back into supporting the service members, veteran and families!
I sincerely have no words to thank you enough for all you have done for my husband. What you guys have done means more than facilitating his mobility. It was more about caring for him as a human being and improving his current deteriorating situation, something that nobody seemed to care about. You guys were listening to him and make him feel like he is important like one day he used to be and that right there is absolutely priceless. I will fall short of gratitude with your organization from now until the end of my days and I fell blessed we were chosen by you between so many well deserving veterans. My heart is overwhelmed of gratitude and respect for everyone that works in this foundation! My heart is yours!
When I was in the hospital in New York Hope for the Warriors flew my parents up, put them in a hotel, at no cost to them. It was great to be able to see my parents, and it wouldn't have happened without them.
Hope For The Warriors is committed to their mission and providing comprehensive programs for all the needs of our veterans and military family members. I have been lucky enough to witness them help a number of families and feel confident making donations to this organization and that the money will do good things.
Hope for the Warriors helping me pursue my passion with woodworking equipment and supplies. Allowing me to create and support my family. Thank you!!
HOPE never loses sight of their mission and their role in helping our military families.

I have been volunteering with them for 6 years. Wonderful organization doing great work to help our veterans.
I was honored to receive a warriors wish. The art studio shed is amazing. It’s a new beginning. I never thought I’d be alive again. I feel like I’m good at something finally. I see myself there years from now. I see the future … I never did before. It’s a gift becoming an artist. My kids watched me doing art through therapy and are really proud of me. I’ve been able to connect to my own kids through art. There was a time I didn’t want to do anything anymore … I gave up. I love working with my hands … it’s a way I can express my feelings with hands.
I have spoken with combat veterans who have approached Hope For The Warriors for assistance and every one of them has said that they received timely and very helpful and lasting service from this organization . So if you are a post-9/11 veteran in need of support services , or just to connect with other veterans like yourself , you should reach out to Hope For The Warriors .
I was on the phone about every other day roughly for a month with these people. Never got anywhere still talking about the same stuff they wanted to know exactly what happened the day in Afghanistan. Never even discussed the option of getting approved for help It was I'm doing everything I can to make sure that they don't disapprove you I'm a disabled veteran had surgery in February and I'm losing everything and they spend a month with me on the phone every other day knowing I'm struggling and it's the same thing every day You never hear anything It never ends You get done with one part they got a new one You get done with that They got another one I don't know for sure if they ever helped anybody other than these little thing get togethers they have I don't think they do anything. I seriously went homeless talking to the guy and nothing not one bit of assistance zero.

I have been volunteering with them for 5 years. Great organization doing good work to help our vets.
We found ourselves coming back to Hope for the Warriors after a number of years for some additional help. In the past they helped our family with necessities in a difficult time. As a caregiver I remained part of their caregiver group for the camaraderie and made many friends. The stresses of 2020 hit our family hard, thankfully we were able to participate in a couple programs that helped us through. God Bless all those at Hope for the Warriors, especially Sarah thank you for all your help.
Was at my wits end trying to get my husband the help he needed. Thank God for hope for the warriors and their great team! They stepped in providing services and guidance to help us get what we needed. Terrific organization, highly recommend.
Hope For The Warriors continues to meet the needs of our veterans and military families. Proud to be a small part of seeing this mission continue.

So wonderful to see how Hope For The Warriors has grown and how they continue to support our post 9/11 veterans and their families. Proud to continue supporting such a wonderful organization in its mission as a donor and friend. Keep up the great work Hope For The Warriors!
Thanks to Hope For The Warriors and its Warrior’s Wish program, I am able to work out comfortably in my own home and be able to focus on my health and well-being. I haven’t been able to do this for a long time due to ongoing issues of being around excessive noise and too many people. Thanks to receiving this wish, I can get some health and happiness back in my life.
Hope for the warriors provided a fence for my warrior wish. It gave me peaceful sleep. Gave my family security. Such a simple thing made a big impact in our lives. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone at hope.
Hope for the Warriors granted our family the wish of a lifetime. There we so many magical things from our trip,. I’ll never forget the look on our son’s face when we drove up on the Walt Disney World sign on the highway. His eyes just absolutely lit up! And, when our daughter saw the princesses and the princess castle for the first time. Our kids also loved Star Wars Land at Hollywood Studios. It was so amazing! This trip is something that we will always remember. We have so many memories that I know we will talk about for so many years to come and remember how much fun we had together. It really brought us closer together as a family. We thank Hope for the Warriors for giving us this wonderful opportunity to grow closer as a family.
Great organization helping vets, they were responsive and very helpful. Loved the folks I talked to, rock stars!!!
Good Luck getting help! Last year my husband and I reached outfor financial assistance due to my husband being placed on FMLA leave which caused a loss of income. We started to fall behind on payments of course. It took over a week for them to contact us from our initial request but they claimed they contacted us (lie) and then said it took too long to contact us so they closed out our case. My husband begged and pleaded with them and they decided to open his case back up. Days went by and we couldn't get a hold of the person in charge of our case. We finally reached someone whom said that person had gone on vacation and again, because it took too long, they closed our case. Here we go again, begging and pleading as our one bill we needed helped on got larger and larger. They opened it again only this time, to close it within days and tell us the amount was too large. WELL YES!! Because they were taking so long to respond to us the bill incurred new charges. And to add, they were very emotionless when denying us. Here we are again, almost a year later, we put in another request, this time, no call, no request to hear our story or provide proof...just a short emotionless denied email. Not sure who they are helping during these hard times.

My family and I have been volunteers for over 10 years. Serving our Veterans with Hope for the Warriors is one of our precious moments! They have the most incredible supporters and know how to demonstrate our gratitude and love for our military families. They provide incredible opportunities and work hard at making sure you know how appreciated your service is and has been. My family and I love serving with Hope for the Warriors. My husband is a Veteran with the Marine Corps and he loves the comradery.
Hope For the Warriors has been a godsend to my family on. When the VA failed my WW Hope for the Warriprs was there. They got us the resources we needed and treated my family with respect and compassion. Further to that, the weekend we spent with them was a game changer for us. It gave my family some normalcy, a renewed sense of hope and friends and memories that will last a lifetime. The resillsnt warrior class is very helpful and informative. I also love their caregiver hub and all the virtual courses they offer. I consider the entire hope family my family

Hope For The Warriors mission is as relevant today as it was when the charity was started. Helping those who sacrifice so much for all of us. Often they are the last to ask for help and Hope makes everyone feel like a part of the family not just a client being served. Very gratified to see those who have been helped come back and give a hand up to those who come after them. That to me says a great deal.
I was introduced to Hope For The Warriors in their earliest days. I had noticed the above and beyond attention they gave my family and me then. Now, years later, they still call and check on my family and me and they have never forgotten me.
Hope For The Warriors is top notch and everything is handled as a class act. My fiancé and I were introduced to the organization through a few events. The CEO, Robin, and the whole team genuinely makes you feel like family. The veterans and family members served are treated with the utmost respect. HFTW stands out from other NPOs due to the fact that each household's situation is analyzed individually. HFTW does their best to always find a way to say YES and to help in any way they can!
Hope For The Warriors does exceptional work for our service members and their families. I am delighted to donate to an organization that also remains fiscally responsible, with the donations going directly back to our veterans in support of their programs!
When my husband returned from deployment we faced some difficult times due to his medical issues and the stresses they put on our family. Hope was a Godsend at time I think we were close to the breaking point. They helped my husband with resources for his issues and me, with caregiver services. I can't recommend them enough, every staff member we interacted with treated us with respect and like family. Unlike with many VSO's we reached out to, at Hope we were nore than just a number and that made all the difference to us.
Hope For The Warriors is doing amazing things for our veterans and their families! Hardworking and dedicated staff who believe whole-heartedly in the mission of providing HOPE and making lives better for our veterans and their families.

This organization is another fraudulent organization that I highly recommend you not donate to. I'm a disabled combat veteran in a wheelchair living off of food stamps and they refused to help me in any way possible. I have no clothes for the winter and they can care less about that. They should call themselves no hope for the warriors. There blaming my financial burdens on my divorce which they don't understand usually is caused by disabled veterans with PTSD. The board members noticed the struggles but they want to blame it on divorce instead of having to pay for medical expenses because the VA makes it almost impossible to get approved for choice even if you're over a hundred percent disabled. Choice is a program where you don't have to go through the VA instead the VA will pay to get seen by a local doctor. I live over an hour and a half away from the VA hospital which makes it impossible to go there all the time. Please to all Americans, do not contribute to this organization find one that truly helps us instead of finding ways to deny us. if a disabled combat veteran is living off food stamps that shows the struggles he's having.

Wow I don't even know where to begin. This organization has done some many amazing things for me. I have had a rocky transition since exiting the military. I needed help rebuilding my life while getting connected to other veterans thought theaputic recreational activities. Hope For The Warriors truly stands by their name. It's given me HOPE and the inspiration to help other veterans facing similar issues. I look for to giving back to them by particating in their sports and recreation challenges.
Handcycling became as much an integral part of my recovery, as anything my doctors required of me. The activity that is handcycling took my recovery from the physical level to an emotional and spiritual level. When I retired from the Army and lost access to the adaptive equipment, it was like taking a step backwards; which sucks when taking a step forward isn’t easy to begin with. I was sitting at home backsliding into depression; I lost all my drive. Once I started riding again on the loaner bike from Hope For The Warriors I felt a sense of purpose. Now, knowing that I have my very own handcycle thanks to Hope For The Warriors, I won’t ever have to worry about the possibility of regressing. I have had a complete change of quality of life since getting to be back on three wheels.
They truly care about the health and welfare of military and family members and put in place activities and clinics to accomplish this mission.
I was always on the other side, I was always volunteering, never the one needing help... then my brilliant husband came home after almost a year in Iraq. When I dropped him off at the airport with his orders to Iraq, I was positive that his men would be in good hands. He had done this before, he had been in the military for almost 25 years... He studied war, history, and knew what was going on over there. Then my brilliant husband came home from Iraq... With this PTSD & TBI thing, we didn't know it, or put it together for a long while.... But... We knew something wasn't the same... I dropped off a great patriot. I don't know how many times I would hear him say "The 3 important things to me, "God, Gold and Country". with a smile. It wasn't his fault. But, here we are...There isn't a clear program for a cure, a pill, a treatment... This outstanding group has helped me in so many ways. God Bless you and I Thank you.
This is a great organization with terrific programs for vets and their families that are widely needed. I strongly suggest everyone checks them out. The are are over 19 million veterans. We need to get this information to all of them.
Came to Hope for the warriors seeking assistance after a bad spell and found a family that has stood with me and my family for 5 years. Thank you for all you do for all of us!
Hope For The Warriors is committed to their mission and providing comprehensive programs for all the needs of our veterans and military family members. I have been lucky enough to witness them help a number of families and feel confident making donations to this organization. Seeing the help they provide is a wonderful thing to witness. Thank you for all you do for those who sacrifice so much for all of us.
My name is Patti and I am a caregiver for my husband. Like a lot of folks we had fallen on tough times. I have been working with a wonderful social worker by the name of Jessica Hower, MSW. Not only does she listen, Ms. Hower also gives great information on how to handle stress, etc. Ms. Hower however went above and beyond to assist our family during these troubled times. We will always be thankful to Ms. Hower and Hope for the Warriors. I am humbled and forever grateful to this wonderful organization. The people that work hard day in and day out assisting our veterans and their family are a God send.
Being knowledgeable of the NLMSF and its mission and purpose, I find this Foundation to be very proactive, responsive to the needs of patients, families, caregivers all over the world. Their three websites, the programs they offer, the upcoming live / free SUPPORT HELPLINE - starting Sept. 1 - all point to the direction of effective advocacy to help those needed help after being diagnosed with LMS, navigating treatment, and after treatment - survivorship. A truly worthy Foundation to be recognized!
I am a combat veteran what I most like about Hope For The Warriors is that there turn around time to get back to a veteran is quick. If they don't have an answer they will offer a resource that can help. So far so good.

It may seem like a small thing but Hope For The Warriors helped me get a riding lawnmower. This riding lawnmower means a great deal to my wife and I and will immensely impact my recovery from my injuries and assisting with transitioning to civilian life. I will offer service to my church community and all the people who need help with their lawn. It is like a blessing from God and a dream come true. I am very delighted to receive such an amazing gift. I would like to express my heartfelt sincere thanks and appreciations to the Hope For The Warrior’s and its A Warrior’s Wish program for making my wish a reality.
I fell on hard times due to my disability. Just when I thought there was no hope, in comes Joe from Hope For The Warriors. He was understating, caring, empathic and gave me a reason to hope again. I can't say enough good things about this organization. They live up to their name.
Hope for The Warriors helped me get optimism to keep fighting against the obstacles in life by facilitating sources of entertainment that I can't get on my own, this makes me enjoy my family way better and I know they do the same! We are very thankful for everything that Hope for The Warriors did for us!!!

I participated in their program for grief counseling, and the woman I spoke with over the course of a few weeks was very helpful. She was an intern, but she gave great guidance, support and comfort. She was also good with following up with me. I would recommend this org to veterans in need.
Hope for the Warriors helped me and my two children, one that has several medical disabilities, get back on our feet. They got me in touch with tons of resources to help better myself and my children. I’m forever grateful.
We have an extremely difficult and ongoing case with my husband's injuries and have received very little to absolutely no help through the Army. Hope for the Warriors listened to me and gave me every possible resource they could to try and help me. They sent us a gift card at Christmas that made it so we could actually have a Christmas meal and get a couple of gifts. I will always be grateful for all their time devoted to helping my family.
Hope for the Warriors helped us in our time of need. They had excellent communication and coordinated ACTUAL real support for a warfighter family who fell through the cracks. It’s been about two years since we worked with HFW and the update is, We are on our feet!!!! We are GOOD!! We would have been homeless if not for Hope for the Warriors.
All the support they give the veterans. They provide so much help with all the programs. So glad this organization is around.
Hope for warriors provided counseling services for me at a time after a close death in the family and right after becoming a veteran. Thanks to the woman intern that counseled me for about 5 weeks, I was able to get through grieving the death of my family member and cope with the stresses of being a new veteran.
Hope for the Warriors, gave guys like me hope! I am so grateful for them. My wife as well, they have so many great resources. Very glad to be with them!
We were stuck in the limbo of leaving the military due to medical issues & the unable to mentally fight to get my husband's medical retirement. This caused us to go 6 months with no pay. Just when we had no where else to turn, an angel named Jess came to our rescue . When I called, she spent over an hour listening to our story and was truly compassionate and wanted to help us. She started making so many calls on our behalf that the VA was worried & made sure we were aware of her doing so. LOL She got us the help we needed the most and also help with many of our other bills. I cannot say enough about Jess, truly an amazing person, with a heart of gold. Hope for Warriors is lucky to have her. I hope everyone, who desperately needs help, is getting someone as caring as her when they call Hope for Warriors. I applied to a lot of places and this was the only one that came through for us in the end. if you are wanting to donate to a worthy cause that gets is funds to soldier's families THIS IS THE ONE TO DONATE TO!!! And if you are Jess's boss, you should give her a raise, just sayin'....
Hope for Warriors were really GREAT to us!!!
My husband, a veteran, was in the hospital, for an extended amount of time, due to combat related issues.
Hope for Warriors assisted us with bills and resources!
Their support at such a trying time, in our lives was AMAZING!
We will forever be grateful, for all that they did for us!!

Thank you for all you did fot me and my 4 kids when i was in need.
Thans to you my kids have a great christmas and my 19 years old is about to started second semester collage.
Thank you so much.
The commitment and dedication in helping support veterans in dire need that Hope for the Warriors has is unparalleled. There are many organizations where I was just a number but to the folks here I and my family were people and they treaded us with dignity and support. They made us feel a part of their family, I will forever be grateful.
Hope for the Warriors has been a blessing to our family. Thank you for all your help and support as we navigated the often confusing aspects of getting the help that was needed. Without Hope for the Warriors I am not sure where we would be right now.
Thanks to Hope For The Warriors and their A Warrior's Wish program I received a camping trailer. This trailer is going to change my family’s lives. This trailer means that we don’t have to sit around all summer dreaming of going camping and weighing the pros and cons of camping in a tent. Being an amputee, it’s sometimes difficult to see the outdoors as an option for any period of time. It’s really important to keep my residual limb clean and a trailer is really the best option to do that.
This organization Helped me when I was at my lowest not knowing where to go for help. They was fast and sufficient. Thank you
ATTN Sexual Assault Veterans/Trauma Survivors. I have a poor experience that must be exposed for what it is. Hope For The Warriors, along with other organizations offering assistance to veterans, claims to offer financial and psychosocial support to victims of military sexual trauma, but fail to deliver.
I reached out in October/November 2016, was interviewed, then left hanging for months without hearing anything from J------- (my counselor/SW). I reached out again in January/February, devulged painful details, had financial crisis, and felt exactly like I did when I left the military. I found out soon after that my case for assistance was denied.
Organizations that claim to support PTSD survivors, yet only choose to support our "war heros" are part of the problem. As a proud Navy veteran and Registered Nurse, I will not cosign on this silent discrimination would love to discuss and collaborate on possible solutions.
I am forever grateful for the help Hope for the Warriors provided me. It's always hard to acknowledge you need to help yourself or seek help. I always feel understood and appreciated and never alone, or just a number. They go out of their way to help whether it be resources, counseling and more. Especially when someone follows through on what they say means a lot when you've been let down so many times by someone else saying the same. I will reccomend Hope for the Warriors to any Veteran.
My Name is Brian I am a 3 time War Veteran and My family was gifted a Beautiful swing set for 2016 Christmas, We have 3 disabled children and they play n this everyday possible, being we live in AZ the weather is great. They also gifted my wife with a bath set and our family with board games. I am honored to know there are such amazing organizations out here to help the Wounded Heros as well as the Veterans. Thank you again for making our Christmas one we will never forget.
I applied for many different non profit's during our struggle and hope for the warriors was the first to come through and the most caring of them all. I was so touched by the way they talked to me and handled the situation. Thank you hope for the warriors for all your help!
Hope for the Warrior s have been a true blessing for my family and I. The staff is all very professional and are willing to help you in any way they can. I would rank this organization the best there is.
Amazing. So personal, helpful and quick. Thank you to Gina for all the help I was able to receive. And to Hope for the Warriors for caring for our Veterans and families. I was able to afford the gas and hotel to pick my husband up from the VA hospital on the other side of the state. All other agencies had failed us, and we weren't sure how he was going to get home (after a 2 month stay). Hope for the Warriors stepped up and covered everything with just days left until his discharge. Thanks, Hope for the Warriors!
Hope for the Warriors has been such a blessing to me. The Facebook group for caregivers has become an oasis where I can reach out to other caregivers and be encouraged and understood. This spring, I am proud to be a Hope for the Warriors scholarship recipient. I look forward to continuing to work on my degree to further my education and be able to help other caregivers along the way.
Veteran and Military families can be seen as being "different" in society- being a disabled veteran family makes that evident even more so. I am so fortunate to have found Hope for the Warriors and be a part of a networked community where I know I belong.
I'm an Iraq War Veteran, 70% service connected for my injuries. I connected with Hope for the Warriors when I was in dire need of funds to pay one month's rent because my injuries would not allow me to work. I was desperate and thought there was no hope and that I would be evicted. Hope for the Warriors to the rescue! These guys assessed my situation and the intake was very straight forward. Within a couple weeks I received a check mailed to the property manager and I was saved! The next month I was able to get back on my feet and everything turned out ok, thanks to the helping hand from these amazing people. Thank you all so much!
I'm a disabled vet trying to get his life back for myself and my family. I went to Camp Hope the PTSD Foundation of America in houston PTSDUAS.ORG trying to get help from HFTW was less than becoming. I ended up having to barrow from others to get into a home for my family and still owe them back. I'm sure you guys help out a lot of people but for someone that was homless you helped me even less thanks for nothing but keep up the good work
Hope for the Warriors truly gave us hope. After getting medically discharged from the Army, I was unable to work. Hope for the Warriors assited us financially, and was very quick to do so.
Hope for the Warriors is an outstanding organization. They have helped my family and I through some troubling times. One time I was attacked and robbed outside a McDonalds and Hope for the Warriors got in contact with me less than two days after the incident. They overnighted several prepaid visa gift cards to help me financially because the robbers took my money, debit card and visa, they also took my IDs including my VA medical card. Hope for the Warriors then contacted the VA on my behalf to make sure I got a replacement VA medical card. This is not the first time Hope for the Warriors have helped me and I know I can contact them anytime in the future because they really care about helping veterans. Thank you Hope and Semper Fi.
Hope for the Warriors is an excellent organization. I attended one of their caregiver workshops and learned how to better take care of myself and my warrior. Their friendly and professional staff made me feel at ease. Additionally, they answers all of my questions and provided lunch, crafts and yoga at the end of the session.
You guys are absolutely awesome. I had the opportunity to go fishing in Alaska in July. I don't remember the last time I felt so relaxed and right at home. What a great group of guys. I had the time of my life catching salmon on the Kenai. Thanks you so much.

I was medically retired last year and had no idea when I would be paid. My Rainy day fund was gone and my wife was pregnant. When I didn't know where to turn Hope for the Warrior threw me the life line I needed to survive. I'll never forget it. Thank you!
Recently, I experienced financial hardship and I reached out to Hope for the Warriors. They were courteous and very communicative with me about what they had to offer. I appreciated their caring and honesty during the entire process. Thanks to them I am slowly getting back on track.
I reached out to various organizations 'supporting' veterans but ended up nowhere. It was only Hope for the Worriors that stood by me, and even made follow ups afterwards. I'm forever grateful knowing our services protecting this country is appreciated. Thank you Hope for the Worriors for serving us and giving us that 'hope' as manifested in your name.
H4W has helped my family a few times. I really appreciate how they call and check on us on a regular basis. This is one of the best associations out there. I have hit serious ups and downs since we got out of the USMC and they have been with my family every step of the way I have dealt with other larger organizations who do not measure up!
They have been helping me since 2007 or 2008 and they always check on me and see what my family and I might need and how we are doing. They are by far the most family oriented organization I have had to deal with. I'm not sure what I would have done if I didn't have them.

I wanted to let everyone know about Hope for the Warriors (if you don’t know about them yet). I have had been involved with MANY Non-Profit Veteran Organizations since my discharge but I must say that I have never experienced a more personable and family oriented organization than Hope for the Warriors. I was introduced to Hope for the Warriors in their earliest days when they just started. I had noticed the above and beyond attention they gave my family and I then but I thought maybe it was because they had just started. I was wrong. Now, years later they still call me and check on my family and me, I still receive Holiday cards, and they have never forgotten me. I don’t know how they manage to remember the details of each veteran they help especially with how big they have become. I believe that they must have someone in their staff that is a great judge of character because they seem to hire people that are so selfless and caring. Thank you so much Hope for the Warriors and all the great staff! You have helped me and my family more than you can imagine.
Review from CharityNavigator
"Great organization. Really helped me out alot and kept me from being homeless after I was out of work for 3 months due to surgery for a combat related wound that had gotten worst."
Hope for the Warriors provided services for my brother who upon his return from active duty was suffering both physical and mental issues. They help provide him with needed counseling and a support system that basically helped save his life. He has worked hard and now gives back to his fellow veterans by volunteering, attending support groups, and offering a helping hand where needed. Thanks to the folks at Hope he is dealing his issues and "getting back to life" as he is fond of saying. Without Hope I am not sure he would still be here. I can not speak highly enough about their programs or the good they do for our service member and our families. Their motto is restoring hope and they definitely did that in our case.
The representatives always went out of their way to ensure that I was taken care of. This made me feel like I mattered to the organization, and that I didn't serve in vain.
Hope provides needed service to our heroes. I have been a donor for a few years now and feel confident that my donation is used to make a difference in the lives of our veterans and military families.
Hope for the Warriors made our dream of owning a home a reality. We were unable to find funds to pay our closing costs when our home was finished 4 months ahead of schedule. Although they generally aren't able to provide this type of assistance, Jory found a way to make it happen. We don't have enough praise to heap on this organization. They came through when all others refused to help us.
Hope for the Warriors offers great support for Caregivers and our nation's veterans. From free counseling to online peer support, Blog talk Radio, face to face meetings in some locations, to granting Hero Wishes....these guys are a first class act.
With the transition from active duty to retiree there are tons of the things the military doesn't prepare you for, the biggest thing is going 90 days with a paycheck or VA benefits check. Hope for the Warriors is there for the family & veterans to help with major bills, emotional support through caregiver support groups and amazing programs like the Wish program. We have had to rely on HFTW several times. Without their compassion and assistance I'm not sure where we would be.
I don't know where I would be without the Caregiver support group through Hope for the Warriors. It is important to connect, uplift, and encourage each other as we're the ones who are taking care of our Nation's greatest heroes. Hope for the Warriors encourages me to be a better caregiver for my veteran. I am forever in debt to them!
Hope for the Warriors is an organization that gets the big picture and has the ability to be proactive in their approach and programming. As a wounded warrior caregiver, I've come to know just how many organizations out there are just providing lip service to the cause, the charge of "hidden heroes", a term that I don't necessarily like but one I get. We as caregivers are not hidden: we are in plain sight in need of support, empowerment and understanding. HFTW gets that with its innovative Caregiver Wellness Workshops which use distinctive approaches to wellness and health. I'm blessed to be a part of this initiative and so happy and proud of the work that I do.
My husband, Paul, and I have volunteered with Hope For The Warriors for years due to their commitment to wounded service members of all branches and their families. Charity Navigator has rated them with their highest score, Four Stars, and they are listed on Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) #27800. Beta Sigma Phi, an international sorority dedicated to service, has granted a $5,000 annual endowment to Hope For The Warriors for the past three years. A local community, Pine Knoll Shores, has sponsored Kayak for the Warriors for eight years and raised $75,000 in 2015 for Hope For The Warriors. This shows that individuals believe in what this non-profit provides for our wounded, their families, and the families of the fallen.

My husband, Paul, and I have volunteered with Hope For The Warriors since 2008 and race with Team Hope For The Warriors. The organization has grown into a highly acclaimed national organization serving our wounded and their families and families of the fallen from all of the services. One of the main reasons we started raising money for Hope For The Warriors was the fact that their overhead is very low and they have received a four start rating by Charity Navigator which allows more of the contributions to go to the warriors. The staff is young and they really care about what they are doing. It is an honor to work with this dedicated group of men and women who make up
Hope For The Warriors.
This organization has set the standard in care for nonprofits who serve military families and veterans. There are many opportunities to find hope through their services!
Hope for the warriors is an amazing organization. From the first day I met them at another event they been like a family to me. I am an OEF/OIF veteran suffering from physical and non visible wounds and they have helped me a lot. They are always there to talk to regardless of the time of day even if its a hey I just wanted to say hi to just a ear to vent. They also got me out of my house and back into running and being active again. Before I met them or became a part of the team I rarely was physically active esp. with running. They helped me through my first ever half marathon and never thought I would be able to complete one with the injuries I had. They helped motivated me and pushed me through it. They also helped me get into my first ever biathlon. I would recommend this organization to any veteran who is struggling or needs some great resources. They defiantly live by their motto RESTORING SELF-FAMILY-HOPE.
I am very impressed with the level of commitment that Hope for the Warriors has towards military service members. I have donated money in the past, and felt great knowing that the funds went directly to purchase items for an event that gave back to some local military family members / caregivers. There is a genuine desire to help and support service members, veterans and their families. Definitely a worth-while cause.
Outstanding organization, staff, and programming. Always willing to go that extra mile to help out wounded warriors and veterans such as myself and my fellow marines. And always willing to collaborate with other like-minded organizations with similar missions.
Hope for the warriors has been a great point of contacts for veterans in the DFW area, they are the organization that I always think about when someone wants to help vets. I been on both sides as a wounded veterans getting help and as a wounded veteran donating to their Gala in Frisco Texas.
I've had the great pleasure of being an alumni of the Hope For The Warrior organization. From my initial enrollment I was afforded treatment reserved for royalty. I'm an Operation Enduring Freedom Veteran and a service connected disabled Veteran and the folks at Hope For The Warrior are always fully attentive to the needs of my family and my recovery. I've been on several trips and events with this team and I can fully attest to their attention to detail and their efforts to make a difference in the lives of all the veterans in the program. Their synergistic approach to my recovery and reintegration has given me the opportunity to strengthen bonds with my family and community. I get weekly emails from all their respective departments to ensure I'm taking advantage of all their programs. Although I'm somewhat out of the state and hundreds of miles away Christian Nunez communicates with me practically every day to keep me abreast of new programs and opportunities. I enthusiastically recommend this organization to many returning Veterans without reservation.
I am a Post 9/11 Disabled Veteran and have taken part in many events sponsored by Hope for the Warriors (H4W) . H4W has been terrific and EXTREMELY SUPPORTIVE. I have a great interest in their Outdoor Program. H4W either sponsor and arrange numerous events throughout the year. All service members that take part have greatly benefited from H4W. I want to say THANK YOU to H4W and salute all who support this wonderful non profit organization.
Hope for the Warriors is a great organization! I've had the pleasure of raising funds for this organization and have participated in some of the group events both at the local and national level. The staff is great and extremely friendly. Their events are highly organized and the quality of people, veterans and family members I've met are highly superb. I highly recommend that people join, become active and support Hope 4 the Warriors!!! You won't regret it.
As the Asst. Director of Veteran Services and Faculty Adviser of our flourishing Student Veterans of America (SVA) chapter here at Pace University, it is with great pleasure and admiration to thank "Hope for the Warriors" for their unwavering dedication and commitment to our proud student veteran contingency. Throughout the years HFT has served as a tremendous resource and powerful advocate as veterans transition "from solider to student." The countless number of veteran-centric events and initiatives bringing veterans together in providing assistance and support across a multitude of domains here in the greater NY-Metro area has not gone unnoticed. Our veterans remain most grateful for their demonstrated altruism. We look forward to collaborating with and attending HFT's future events!
Hope For The Warriors is an amazing nonprofit serving post 9/11 veterans. This organization is one of the best around, they really care about our service members and their families.
I have volunteered for a number of different veterans not-for-profits. Hope For The Warriors stands out among the best I have seen. I have had the honor and privilege of getting to know so many people that work with Hope For The Warriors and others that have been directly benefited by their work over the past few months. A common word that the people I have spoke with use is 'family'. The folks that work and volunteer for this not-for-profit are just that, an amazing family that truly cares about the work they do. H4TW is truly doing God's work for our military members and their families. Keep up the great work!
Hope For The Warriors is an amazing organization which is visible in how they care for the recipients of the donations first and foremost! Their staff, especially Gus Cabarcus, is a shining example of how dedication and heart make a difference in the lives of the wounded veterans. Our family choses carefully how we donate our money and Hope For The Warriors will remain a staple because of its passion for the veterans.
I have witnessed firsthand the hard-work, generosity, support, and love this organization offers to our wounded veterans and their families. I had the privilege of meeting some of their great employees; like Gus Cabarcas and others, too many to list all, at a sponsored event that I took part in as a returning injured veteran from Afghanistan. I am currently under medical care, as a Wounded Warrior at Fort Sam Houston, Tx. I was a lucky participant in an event hosted by Hope for the Warriors in Tyler Texas and I can’t say enough about the caring, professionalism and support I received from this organization and its staff. Everyone whom I meet involved with this group has such a desire to make a difference in the lives of those who have been injured. It was truly a welcome home for me that I believe far too few combat Soldiers and veterans get to experience! I hope to continue building a relationship with Hope for the Warriors, not only as a Soldier but as a civilian and supporter.
Thank you, Hope for the Warriors!
You have my Gratitude and Support.

FERIDIES®, a family owned manufacturer of Virginia peanuts in Courtland, VA partnered with Hope For The Warriors in 2013 to promote 18oz cans of Hope For The Warriors® Salted Virginia Peanuts. FERIDIES® and Hope For The Warriors® have been working together to market this gourmet specialty snack food to raise money for our national heroes. FERIDIES donates $1.00 from the sale of each can of peanuts to the organization. Last year we sold over 10,000 cans of peanuts. The FERIDIIES® family became connected to Hope For The Warriors® through their friend, Manny Jimenez who was injured in an IED blast in Afghanistan in 2010 while serving with the United States Marine Corps. Hope For The Warriors has played a tremendous role in Mannys' life and many others and we are proud to be working with them to raise money and awareness. The staff has been extremely helpful and supportive. We are honored to be connected with such a fabulous organization.
I have worked with Hope for the Warriors for several years and have enjoyed every minute of our working relationship. I do custom picture framing and have the pleasure of helping Hope for the Warriors award their benefactors with framed presentations. The dedication that every staff member I've worked with has been admirable - they sincerely care about the wounded warriors and are so proud of doing all that they can to promote their welfare.
Hope of the Warriors is an incredible organization! Everyone I have met or had some type of communication with has been amazing. I'm so thankful I was introduced to this organization and proud to serve with them. Volunteering my time and services is just a small way to give back to the community and to show my appreciation to our military. I hope to continue building a relationship with Hope for the Warriors.
Hope for the Warriors is remarkable. Every event / fundraiser that I have attended notably touches each person attending. This organization truly understands social responsibility. Hope for the Warriors positively impact the lives of each and every veteran and their family. This nonprofit does not let "No" get in the way. Special thanks to Gus for he has done in such a short amount of time in the Texas Region.
Hope for the Warriors is one of the most warm hearted organizations I have ever had the honor to work with. Everyone who is involved with this group has such a desire to make a difference in the lives of those who have been injured. It has been an honor and a blessing to be involved with this outstanding group of people and see first hand the work they do. Being a Marine Mom myself, knowing there are people out there doing what they do for no other reason but to help improve the lives of those who have served this Country is so amazing.
I couldn't be more pleased with this organization. Unlike others in all kinds of charities that spend large amounts trying to get bigger and bigger and reducing their percentages of actual contributions to their causes, Hope for the Warriors strikes me as trying to put as much into their cause as they have, without stretching and paying for commercials, mailings, including address labels and on and on.
I'd much rather support an organization that goes the other way--for excellence rather than size. We contribute to a fair number of causes and so we pay attention to which do well and when we find one, such as Hope for the Warriors, we both support it and encourage friends and family to join us.
Hope for the Warriors is an exceptional organization that changes lives. The dedicated efforts by their staff to carefully plan and execute their programs far exceeds my expectations. In speaking with the many veterans who have been served by Hope for the Warriors, you get a sense of who much they impact and improve the lives of those who have served our country.
As the Vice President of Rock n Roll Custom Paint my family and i are proud to be a donor and helper in this cause. we are a family owned and operated buisness that knows how important it is to give back . We take charity to our vets very seriously and have done solid research on H4W. They are a top notch charity that helps our vets on so many levels. They also make sure we know how they operate and where donations are going to. That is very important to us as we always like to know what we do as a company actually goes to help out soldiers in need. We have continued on many levels to support their efforts and to bring friends and organizations to help in this cause . We have not been disappointed, and look forward to doing so many more big scale events and bring more opportunities to this organization in very near time. Thanks for all our vets do and to H4W for all they do and allowing us to be a part of it
As a Marine returning home during Vietnam society in general did not approve of the military. Today, with organizations like "Hope For The Warriors" I am PROUD that we are taking better care of our returning veterans. Gus Cabarcas our local Community Development Coordinator does an OUTSTANDING job promoting "Hope For The Warriors" and keeps us informed of all the great things they are doing and can do for our returning vets. I think it is a great organization and I'm proud of people like Gus Cabarcus for taking a leadership role. Semper Fi...
H4W is a great non-profit organization that provides numerous services to veterans and their families across the nation. I was first introduced to this awesome group back in 2012 when I was transitioning out of the Marine Corps. They put on a week long seminar that was applicable and modern. I currently live in Texas and I reached out to some of the contacts I met in San Diego and they put me in contact with Gus Cabarcus who is the H4W coordinator in the north Texas area. Gus has been a great contact and has invited my family and I to a plethora of events in our area. I would most definitely recommend this organization to anyone who is a wounded veteran or to individuals who are looking to donate their money to a good cause.
Hope For The Warriors helped me when I needed it most. After being permanently injured by an IED in Iraq, I was medically retired after 13 years in the Army. I finished my college degree and was actively seeking employment for a year. During that time, the recession hit hard and hiring freezes happened all around. After a year unemployed, I had depleted my savings account and could not pay my mortgage for the first time ever. My wounded warrior counselor sent my information to Hope For Warriors and the organization immediately jumped in to assist me by providing the funds to my mortgage company to cover that month as well as the late fee. It eased a lot of stress off of me as I knew once I got behind on that, it will be an even larger struggle to deal with on each passing month. I am very grateful and blessed for Hope for the Warriors and the assistance they provided to me. The people I spoke with was very kind and she provided me with a lot of information. Luckily, I gained employment the following month and was able to get my finances back on track quickly which I wouldn't have been able to do if Hope For The Warriors hadn't been there for me. God Bless this organization and the caring volunteers who are there for us veterans.
Hope for the Warriors is an engaged and active member of our community. The valuable programs it facilitates serve to support the needs of the veterans and their families. This organization, it's founders, and all of its members come straight from the heart. I am honored to have learned about them and proud to wear the Hope For The Warriors bracelet.
Hope For The Warriors, is not only Dedicated and focused on showing selfless service to all military members that have gone above and beyond the call of duty. HFTW continues to deliver positive site on their Missions in place, being true to the cause for all military along with their family members. They have been in my life since the beginning and continue to be there through good times and bad. I have enjoyed working with HFTW as they continue to keep their promises throughout the whole Organization, from the CEO all the way to the staff members within their teams. The knowledge base of all team members is on track, It truly provides the Hope we all seek after losing precious things in our lives and abilities. I am blessed to have Hope For The Warriors in my life.
Every now and then, you find an organization that combines an extraordinary mission, flawless execution and an ability to carry out their work by stretching financial resources in the most impressive ways. Hope For the Warriors is such an organization. The common thread for non-profits that fit into this unique category is the passion of their leadership to those people and families who benefit from their work. The small but highly-energietic group of staff, volunteers and Board members who carry out the work for this worthy non-profit, demonstrate this passion every day.
Jack Marin explained the purpose of Hope for the Warriors and I was very impressed with the mission and the professional discussion I had with Jack about their fund raising practices. I immediately agreed to write a check to this important organization.
Searching for the best way to help our veterans in their return home, my husband and I learned about Hope for the Warriors. What a wonderful organization, from their creativity and care for the unique needs of our vets to their responsible stewardship of the funds we've been able to share! We are very happy knowing that there is such a committed team of people, willing and able to transform our gifts into the things and experiences that will help our returning veterans and their families transition as well as possible from active duty into civilian and family life.
Thank you, Hope for the Warriors team!
Hope for warrior is a wonderful non-profit organization. I have donated and volunteered to their organization. They are very organized provide great services to our vets.
Dr. Joe
A truly wonderful organization that addresses our Wounded Warrior's/veteran's most basic needs to ensure they have a viable future. Exceptionally dedicated to making a difference for these great individuals. Their help is focused and definitely has a positive impact. Great organization to support.
Incredible and irreplaceable organization dedicated to helping those who have helped each and every one of us so many times. Top caliber leadership and a selfless, dedicated team.
Proud and honored to be involved.
Hope for the Warriors is a great non profit organization that focuses on helping veterans I had the pleasure of meeting the DFW rep, and hes been of great help with assisting me with job opportunities and other great services that i had no idea were available for veterans.
Hope for the Warriors is a wonderful nonprofit organization and their cause really touches your heart strings. What greater calling than to provide assistance to our wounded young men and women. I have also been very impressed with their competent and caring staff. Jeff Mullins
Hope for the Warriors is the model all non-profits should follow, totally dedicated, selfless service to our service members.. The organization has never lost sight of their mission from the beginning and the list of service members they have assisted is too long to list here. The staff of this organization has no hourly limit in their workday and they work relentlessly to accomplish their mission. They are a pleasure to work with - true Americans doing great things for out heroes.
Hope For The Warriors is an organization I love giving my time to. I am a TV host and I have had the chance to participate in the golf events for Hope For The Warriors near Camp Lejeune, NC. The organization is second to none as far as caring for our servicemen and servicewomen, but they have also provided an outlook for their futures. If anything, you need to tour the Wounded Warrior Facility at Camp Lejeune. You will see how far we have come in helping our troops who have given so much and will continue to give for years and maybe decades.
Hope for the warriors helps us so much . I am very thankful for them and for what they have done for me and my family since things happened with my husband. They are a wonderful hope and I know I can count on them if I need them and I am very thankful to have them.
I have worked directly with Hope for the past 2 years and found them to be (top to bottom) one of the most outstanding Non-Profits in America.
In my professional and civic life I have served on numerous non-profit Boards and Volunteered countless hours so I do not write this positive review lightly.
The good work these folks do is amazing and it is run with the highest ethical and professional standards!
I have interacted with this charity on several occasions and always found them to be exemplary. The cause they serve is obviously a great one, and the way that they go about it is with the utmost professionalism. They are clearly focused with the goal of the charity and I feel comfortable donating and participating with them that my money and efforts are being well used.
As both a volunteer board members (5 years) and a donor, I have watched this organization begin with lofty goals (some might call them dreams) and then proceed to meet and exceed them. To a person, this is a knowledgeable and dedicated staff led by true visionaries, all in touch with the very special needs of the service members it serves. They are at once inspired and realistic.
I became a donor for Hope for the Warriors after reviewing the cost benefit data for this and other charities. I am impressed that such a high percentage actually goes to the warrior himself/herself. This is a charity for everyone to check out ... The organization keeps it PERSONAL and the volunteers make this unlike many others. Very highly recommended for your donor dollars.

I have been a proud board member of Hope for the Warriors and also an advisory board member for several years , I must say that Robin Kelleher , CEO and Tina Atherall EVP, And the whole team at Hope for the Warriors are exceptionally dedicated and truly are compassionate about the needs of our returning wounded servicemen and women I am familiar with many not for profit organizations and I must say that this Is the most outstanding organization I've ever come in contact with . If you review their website you will see the many wonderful projects that provide much-needed assistance in many forms to those who have worn the cloth of our military and have been wounded .

I have been aware of this wonderful and impactful organization, Hope For The warriors, for several years.
It is clear to me that Robin Kelleher and her team are caring, professional, and extremely dedicated to our wounded warriors and effective at the same time. I have sent in several checks and I have read on their website updates the wonderful events and support that they are giving to those who went into harm's way on our behalf. I also had the opportunity to meet Robin and some of here team at an event, and I'm now even more convinced that if you want to help our warroriers and families in nedd this is the best organization to contribute to.
This Organization is truly amazing. They standby their statement of assisting the service member, their family, and families of the fallen. They open up their arms to all with without treating anyone with any disdain. I am tryly proud to be a part of this organization and look forward to what it brings in the future.
I am a reporter for the Camp Lejeune Globe and I have seen this organization in action on many occasions. These people are amazing! They work tirelessly toward their cause, and I've seen first hand the difference they make in the lives of wounded service members and their families.
Every single person I've met from this organization is an absolute joy to be around. This organization is such a breath of fresh air, and I believe it's because each and every person involved is passionate about this cause.
I would like to specifically recognize two wonderful people in this organization: Anne Barnwell and Jordan Huffman, both of whom I've worked with numerous times. These two women are so immersed in the cause of Hope For The Warriors and culture of military life, all for the betterment of others. Anne's enthusiasm for what she does is contagious, and she has actually said to me, "Chantel, I really wake up every morning so excited about going to work." Jordan is always ready to help me whenever I need it! She's so great. She will do whatever it takes to ensure success of the organization, not just aboard Camp Lejeune, but nationwide.
I feel blessed to have met these people and proud to know them. I am not a beneficiary of their efforts, but they've still touched my heart – that's the measure of a great nonprofit.
KEEP IT UP!
-Chantel Green
After becoming involved as a volunteer, I've found that one of the things I like about Hope for the Warriors is that their fund raisers are activities that get the public INVOLVED. They are activities designed to get you off the couch, out in the fresh air with an opportunity to meet and greet the warriors who have served us all. Their fund raisers could also be called "fun raisers." And to make it even better, when you participate, you can rest assured that consistently, over 90% of the funds they raise go to meet mission. That's a win/win. It's great to know when you spend your money to have some fun and participate that you are also helping our wounded service men and women recover. A win/win.
I am a retired Marine Major General and recently participated in one of the Hope for the Warriors fund raising events and while there met most of the organization's leadership and many of the sponsors and volunteers. HFTW of course serves a popular and necessary cause which is most evident by the vast number of dedicated volunteers who provide numerous services in making this a most successful operation. While I am not involved in financial decisions, knowing the quality of Board members and senior leadership, I am confident that HFTW functions as a unit with minimum overhead and maximum benefit in improving the lives of our American heros and their families. If one is looking for a Foundation to support financially or to become involved with in any respect, HFTW will make you feel good and at the same time serve a patriotic and humane mission.
I am a retired Marine Infantry LtGen who served 36 years on active duty from 1966 to 2002. I have never encountered an organization that has done more for wounded/injured Marines. The Government itself does infinitely more now than it did was I was a young officer during the Vietnam era. That said, the contribution of Hope For The Warriors to what the Government is able to do cannot be overstated--especially in the assistance provided for the Families. I had the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with quite a few wounded/injured Marines in September 2013. Not only are there physical and mental needs being attended to, their outlook on life is rejuvinated and focused. Every Marine I spoke with had a plan for what he/she wanted to accomplish with their lives. They had all set goals and knew what they intended to do to achieve those goals. They will be contributing members of the American society, not "homeless veterens" forgotten by their fellow Americans.
Simlply put Hope For The Warriors is totally comitted to reaching out and providing support to our service members. I have seem several organizations that are doing wonderful work for our Vets but for my money these folks have no peer.

I am a Clinical Social Worker who has utilized Hope For The Warriors on many occassions. Recently they were able to get a soldier that I am working with, a Craftmatic Adjustible Bed. Although this would seem to be nothing more than an expensive gesture, it should be noted that because of this granted Wish, this soldier was able to return to his bedroom/bed, with his wife, for the first time in 2 years! Due to the amount of pain and injury he was suffering, this soldier had been sleeping in a recliner in his living room. The amount of joy and improvement in this soldier's quality of life, just from a bed, may never be measured. It is a wonderful thing that is happening at Hope For The Warriors, without them, many soldiers would go without what may seem to be, the "little things" that the rest of world may take for granted. I am thankful for them, and all that they do.
I am proud to be associated with Hope For the Warriors. I have witnessed first hand the hard-work, generosity, support, and love this organization offers to our wounded veterans and their families. I have had the privilege of meeting, some of these great veterans who have given their all so you and I can do what we do everyday and be free! Tragically, many of these men and women have returned home from their call of duty with life altering injuries. Hope For the Warriors is very committed to all of these veterans and their families.
To the entire staff at H4W, thank you for all you do for these men and women of our armed forces. You are all great individuals and great Americans!

I have had the honor of volunteering with Hope for the Warriors for several years now. It has always been a privilege to work with such a dedicated and trustworthy organization. My experience with our wounded heroes is always memorable and very encouraging! I am grateful when the opportunities arise and I am asked to volunteer with Hope for the Warriors

I have donated to this organization for a number of years and have been extremely pleased with the manner in which the funds are used directly for injured personnel and their families. They do not waste money on give-aways and numerous mailings. i am so impressed with the percentage of their funds that go directly to their cause. Robin and her entire staff are personable, caring, and professional. They all obviously have a true calling to serve.
i would definitely recommend this to anyone as a beneficial, impactful charity where their donations of time and money are well utilized.
I have donated for a few years to this charity. I believe that the volunteers and fund raisers are doing a great job helping those that need help. The volunteers are hard workers and are very dedicated. Great job H4W.

As an contractor/advisor to Hope For The Warriors, I am privilaged to see some of the inner workings of the organization. I am continually impressed by the professionalism and enthusiasm with which the staff approaches every task. Especially impressive is the culture of good stewardship regarding funding which pervades the organization.
As a VietNam veteran, I only wish there had been a Hope For The Warriors when I returned.

Hope for the Warriors, is just plain amazing. I have never in my life encountered a more dedicated and hardworking group. Then events and programs that they provide truly make amazing differences in the lives of the people that they help.

I am a former Marine Corps Officer, turned businessman. In 2006, I made a visit to the Wounded Warrior Barracks in Camp Lejeune and spent four hours with Lt Col Maxwell, visiting with wounded Marines and learning of the shortfalls in the care of our wounded. From that day forward, I spent considerable time interviewing Marines, Key Wives, Key Volunteers and various charity officers. My initial goal/obsession was to assist in finding and serving Marines and Soldiers who were “falling through the cracks” and not receiving the care and support they deserved. When our many involved hands got a handle on this problem, I turned to my efforts to simply raising money for the charities, which had proven to be the best and most efficient at serving our wounded.
Hope for Warriors tops this chart. Their leadership at inception-- and largely to this day-- is composed of the large-hearted wives of Marines. These bright women “get it”— for many years now they have made an art form of serving those who have served us. And most impressive, while many of their fellow charities in this service niche have grown a little too big and little too sloppy in their expenditures, Hope for the Warriors remains “lean and mean”. Our chain of 30 businesses runs an annual fundraiser each year, which benefits three charities that serve our wounded and families of the fallen. This event forces me to annually review the tax returns of many charities. Each year, Hope for the Warriors is the most efficient charity in the bunch. In short, before you write a check to another charity, see if they come close to Hope for the Warriors’ key numbers: Program Expenses 88%; Admin costs 10%; Fundraising 2%.

I started going back to school after my medical discharge from the Marine Corps. My major is music and I play the Tuba. I did not have the money to buy my own and this was going to put my education goals on hold. Hope for the Warriors not only helped me, but they responded in time for class to start and now the sky's are the limit.

For the past two years I have volunteered for H4W at various racing events, and I am still continuously impressed with the depth and breadth of the organization and its commitment to improving the lives of wounded servicemembers and their families. I've seen and heard the difference that H4W has made, one veteran at a time. Few organizations are also as good at maximizing the volunteer experience. When I volunteer at an H4W event, I know that, whatever the task I am asked to do, it will be meaningful. That alone is thanks enough, but the H4W staff is generous with their gratitude. So are the wounded veterans that H4W sponsors. Their strength never fails to inspire me.

Previous Stories
I recently volunteered to help with Hope for the Warriors' hospitality tent at the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the experience was. Even at the crack of dawn on a freezing morning, the H4TW staff was very welcoming and extremely organized. As the day progressed, that preparation became even more evident -- with any contingency that arose, they knew exactly how to respond. I point these things out because as a result, the H4TW staff was able to make efficient, meaningful use of me and the other volunteers. I had no doubt that I was needed, and that my time was valued and appreciated.
Ultimately, though, the day was about the wounded warriors participating in the Marathon thanks to H4TW's generous sponsorship. We were there to offer the veteran participants the best service that we could. That is what H4TW is all about -- giving back to people who have given so much in service to our nation. Meeting them before the race, cheering them to the finish, and talking with them afterward was an absolute privilege. Thanks to H4TW, I had the opportunity to hear their stories, share a few of mine, and strive to make their race day as good and memorable as it could possibly be. It is certainly a day I will remember for years to come.

For the last three years, Siemens Corporation has partnered with Hope for the Warriors in support of the grass roots work they do to reach out and help wounded U.S. service members, their families, and families of the fallen. Their staff works tirelessly to raise awareness, as well as funds, to provide programs that benefit service members and their families.
Hope for the Warriors is unique among organizations supporting service members as they recognize that the entire family is affected by a service member's wounds - both physical and psychological. Each of their programs considers the needs of spouses, children, parents and extended family members - their full circle of care embraces and restores the whole family unit. Their holistic approach is key to maximizing the positive impact they have for our wounded service members.
As many service members have returned from Iraq, and from Afghanistan, Hope for the Warriors continues to be an integral part of welcoming these heroes back into their communities, and assisting them to regain their lives.
We are honored to be partnered with them and look forward to continuing and expanding this much needed effort.

I've been employed with Hope For The Warriors since October of 2012, and I couldn't be happier.
Each day allows me the opportunity to work directly with men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country.
As the Director of the Above & Beyond program, I can assist those trying to transition out of the military and enter the civilian sector due to their combat related injuries. Since joining this amazing team, I've met so many wonderful people (service members/veterans, family members of those injured and the fallen, and volunteers), which I am very grateful for.
I initially reached out to the organization to offer my support as a volunteer, and shortly thereafter became a part the family.
Thank you Hope For The Warriors for allowing me the opportunity to make a difference.

I was deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 when I met LTC (ret) Lew Deal. He was on a Legends tour. He told us about Hope For The Warriors and all they do. Little did we know four of us on the base would benefit from this wonderful organization. LTC Lew kept in touch with us throughout the remainder of our deployment and after we arrived home. He set us up a hunt with some Mississippi landowners, guides, a chef, camera crew and a special guest. We had the best time ever from the moment we arrived and we are still having fun talking about it. Our guides were very knowledgeable and professional. They ensured we had everything we needed and that we were having a good time. To this day we keep in contact with them and we are proud to call them friends. LTC Deal and Hope For The Warriors went above and beyond to give us the time of our lives. I personally harvested my biggest deer on camera, shot wild hogs, ate like a king, met great guys (one of them being "Cuz" Strickland) and had the best time ever. Thank you Hope For The Warriors and LTC Lew Deal for all you do. You all are the best!!!!

The best part of volunteering is the satisfaction of knowing that something was done that made an impact on another life, and since I began volunteering with H4W as a freshman in high school, I have found that working with this particular organization has been more rewarding to myself than i could've ever imagined: I have been provided an opportunity to give back to the military community that I grew up in, and has renewed my sense of service and obligation to those who have sacrificed, and their families, for me. it's not just a fun environment, but it is a place of passion and genuine love for those who they are serving. The staff is inviting, and watching first hand the care and personal vestment the organization has is absolutely inspirational. I have volunteered at both larger and smaller events and the entire staff, from a new intern to the founder have been involved.

I was lucky enough to meet LTC (Ret) Lew Deal in Afghanistan in 2012 while he was on the USO tour and he has made the extra effort to remain in contact and set up an extraordinary hunting trip, thru Hope for the Warriors, for myself and 3 other Afghan veterans. Never in my 27 years of the military have I ever received such a gift. It was truly a hunt of a lifetime.

I was fortunate enough to be a beneficiary of this organization. What an incredible experience! Everything they did was first class and exceeded my wildest expectations. There was such a personal involvment of LTC (Ret) Lew Deal in our experience, as well as the donors of the hunting trip. I would never be able to experience a hunting trip like that on my own, and getting to re-unite with my deployment Army buddies made it that much more special. Thank you Hope for the Warriors!

As a volunteer for Hope For The Warriors I can tell you first hand how great this organization is! You will not find more dedicated people anywhere whose sole purpose is to to help military service members, their families and families of those who are no longer with us. Through this organization military members know there is support and help out there. Isn't this the least we can do for those who have served to keep us all safe? I am proud to be a donor as well as a volunteer for this organization and to see how effectively this organization is run-soley with the service members in mind! I would like to say that HOPE FOR THE WARIORS is a top class group in all areas. I am a service member in the Army of 20+ years and consider my connection with HOPE FOR THE WARRIORS to be one of the best things that has ever happened to me and my family. l was very cautious, due to my war time injury, of who I let in my social circle besides my immediate family until I got to know the HFTW group. They honestly CARE and that is what service members want in a time of need. They show you through their actions, not just lip service of what they might could do, etc. Bottom line, they deliver! They treat every family as one of their own and go through the process of knowing you and your family at YOUR pace. They do so many great things for service members that the list is endless. I personally have dreamed of becoming a tournament BASS fisherman at the highest level that I can compete in. They went out of their way to give me and family a weekend of a dream coming true. I can say that it made me feel happy and stirred up emotions that have not been tapped into for some time. Again, this was not just about me but my wife and kids were with me every step of the way as much or as little as they wanted to be involved, again at our pace. For us,this was something that no one or organization had shown us before. It just made me think for a brief second if in this world people could mirror what this organization does, for the good of people, it would be such a better place. Again I cannot express my gratitude to this group......they do not fly the flag one day a year and jump on the bandwagon ,like unfortunately, some groups do unless they are benefitting directly from it. This groups flies the flag 24/7..365 days a year...they can walk the walk and back it if you talk to ANYONE who has been lucky enough to get to know the HFTW group. The get down in the weeds and spend their funds on service members period. If everyone reading this could read up and follow this group to see their excellent track record you would be amazed. I know everybody reading this is not a millionaire but if everyday folks like me could donate their services or maybe give up a fancy coffee once in a while and donate to HFTW........it will feel good in your hearts. You can lay your head on your pillow at night, when men and women are downrange, doing operations so the we have the security of sleeping safe at night Please do the right thing, your donations would be only a small token of appreciation for the sacrifces that have been made. Donate so the great people at HFTW's can take care of servicemembers, who take care of us! GOD BLESS THIS COUNTRY! HOPE FOR THE WARRIORS, YOU ROCK! Hope. It’s only a four letter word, but it can mean all the difference in a wounded warrior’s life. As a member of Team Hope for the Warriors, and a wounded Operation Iraqi Freedom vet myself, participating in sports and athletics has been a major part of my rehabilitation and recovery, and the Team has been a big source of Hope in my own life. Driving myself to physical and mental limits, whether in a triathlon or marathon run, has given me confidence, and the knowledge that I can reach deeper and go stronger and further than I ever thought possible.
This year, thanks to Team Hope for the Warriors, I’ve run my first two half-marathons, placed first in my age division at a local triathlon, and the Team offered to sponsor my trip to compete at the National Triathlon Championships. But more than anything, being part of a team means so much to me; being inspired by teammates who have faced so much themselves on the field of battle, and to see them succeed on the field of competition.
Team Hope for the Warriors supports the wounded warrior community by helping us come together, allowing me to be with my comrades-in-arms and those who support us, giving us the opportunity to challenge ourselves in ways we never thought possible – together! Even though I’m no longer in the military, I’m still part of a team – a family: Team Hope for the Warriors.

I and my wife first met this group in the spring of 2011 at the MCM Half Marathon in Fredericksburg, VA. I was so impressed with how organized the group was and how they explain their mission with how they meet the needs of the military member and their roles with also helping the spouse; heck the entire family. I know how great an impact that can be due to being a military member myself and seeing how my actions affect my family. Since that day my wife and I have worked many fund raising events and volunteered our time to show how much this group means to us. We get a joy out of telling others about them and their cause. In turn, we have others join with us to help even more. Bottom line, Hope for the Warriors is an awesome group!

I am an OIF/OEF 9 year veteran of the USAF. I was retired after suffering multiple injuries in Iraq. Due to my injuries it has always been difficult getting a good nights sleep b/c I get uncomfortable and toss and turn all night. I tried several different beds, but nothing seemed to work. Of course, everyone says go for the top of the line...try a Tempurpedic. Well who has the money to buy a $3000 bed!! I was referred to Hope for the Warriors through the WW program. They were wonderful right from the beginning! Every step of the process was made easy and I was treated with respect and dignity overall. They walked me through the process and before I knew it I was sleeping in my Tempurpedic! They are 100% focused on their goal of making the lives of our warriors a better and more comfortable place. So many of us have such different issues, but to them we all served and sacrificed. Anyone who is looking for a place to support while knowing everything they can give is going staight to the intended population....you should definately look up Hope for the Warriors!!

OIF VET with TBI and PTSD. I was invited to a weekend outing in Tyler Texas with Hope For The Warriors. It was one of the best times I had since my return from overseas. The staff, donors, and supporters were extremely friendly and had everything well planned out despite the turn in weather. My main purpose for going was to get myself out of isolation and play some golf to gain my confidence back. That weekend did just that! I was able to meet some new friends that shared similar injuries along with a community of people that welcomed us with open arms. We were greeted by students, bands, flags, police escorts, and much more. I am grateful that Hope For The Warriors was able to put such a great event together and I hope to participate next year!

My name is John Masters, and I was wounded in Afghanistan in 2010. After being evacuated to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC I spent the next several months laying in a hospital bed, thinking the usual thoughts one thinks in that situation. As Doctors informed me that the damage to my severely injured right hand was worse than initially thought and that they weren't sure how much, if any of it could be salvaged, my mind was ravaged with depression, concern, doubt and worry. Having primarily physical actives as hobbies, I foresaw my future being bleak and boring, and saw rock climbing, cycling, weight lifting, racquetball and basically everything else I enjoyed, as things of the past. This however was not the case. Through a long road of physical rehabilitation and lots of support from caring and compassionate people, I have been able to find adaptive means to still enjoy and peruse just about every interest I previously had, and no one was more instrumental in this process than my friends at Hope for the Warriors. Their comforting and encouraging staff was literally at my bedside from the earliest stages of my recovery, wishing me well and letting me know of the opportunities awaiting me in the near future. While laying in that bed thinking my physically active lifestyle was all but behind me, I had no idea that a year from then I would be crossing the finish line of my first marathon as part of Team H4W. Since that race Hope for the Warriors has continued to be an integral aspect of my recovery process. Wether it be competing with their athletic division, or participating in one of their social events, I am always surrounded by positive encouragement and friendly faces that remind me just how blessed and lucky I am. The benefit of being a member of Team H4W is two fold as it is an avenue to maintain physical fitness, but even more meaningful are the benefits to my spirit. Through this program I have made friendships that will last a life time and been granted the opportunity to interact with some of the most amazing people I've ever met, both H4W staff as well as other Vets I have met through the team. My once bleak attitude has been transformed, as H4W has filled me with a new outlook, one of excitement, friendship and hope. They truly were the silver lining to my injury's storm. No longer am I concerned with the challenges that come along with not having two fully functional hands, because I know if i ever need one, Hope for the Warriors will be there to lend me one.

A mother’s worst nightmare confronted me on June 10, 2010, when two Marines came to my door. They gave my husband and I the dreaded news: “Your son has been killed in Afghanistan.” Our son, Sgt. Brandon Bury, was on his third deployment in a combat zone, and although we knew his mission put him in danger, we believed he would return home safely. We were in shock to learn that he would not.
Soon after, one of my best friends came by, and asked, “What do you need?” At that point I didn’t know. She immediately called her daughter-in-law, Amber Johnson, a Critical Care Coordinator for Hope for the Warriors. Within minutes, the phone was ringing, and Hope for the Warriors came to my rescue.
Our family situation offered logistical challenges. I live in Texas, Brandon’s wife and two young sons in California and my extended family is scattered across Ohio. Services were going to be held in California and Texas. Without hesitation, Hope for the Warriors offered assistance with travel arrangements, sage advice and continued emotional support.
I also had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the benefits that Hope for the Warriors provides to injured veterans. The group hosted a weekend of fun in Tyler, TX, that concluded with a dinner tribute for their sacrifices. I will never forget seeing the faces of the proud young men and women as they strolled by our table. These individuals knew their sacrifices were appreciated by so many. Hope For The Warriors® understands the challenges, pride, and joy of being a military family, and it is committed to restoring a sense of self for wounded vets, fallen heroes and their families. Everyone I have met in the organization is honorable, passionate and committed about their mission.
My son’s family and friends were so moved by the organization and its commitment to help others that they searched for a way to honor our heroes and donate to this fine organization. A Golf Tournament was organized in Kingwood, Texas, www.kingwoodfallenheroes.com, by one of my son’s best friends, Scott Mitchell. Last year was the first annual tournament, and it raised $60,000 for a number of charities, including Hope For The Warriors®. The second annual tournament is scheduled for April 27, 2013. Organizers are hoping to shatter last year’s amount and donate the proceeds to this worthwhile organization.

I am an Iraqi disabled veteran. "HOPE FOR THE WARRIORS" (H4W) has been instrumental in promoting my physical well being again. They donated a bike to me which I am training on in order to particpate in the "Warrior Games, 2013." "HOPE FOR THE WARRIORS" offers disabled veterans a host of opportunities for bike riding to running the Marine Corp Marathon. They are run by an exceptional group of people and the one of the greatest things about H4W is that they are family oriented. It has been an honor to serve as a volunteer to Hope for the Warriors. They have welcomed me to their Team Hope for the Warriors where I have given support to running/cycling events here in the Mid-Atlantic Region of the US.

Our son served as a Marine in Afghanistan in 2010-2011. When he returned we knew that something had changed in him - while we expected this to some degree, we had no idea at the time how drastic the change would be. As the one year anniversary of his return approached, it was clear that he was suffering with PTSD and he was not getting better - in fact, he was getting worse. Normally outgoing, sensitive, with a great sense of humor - he was increasingly withdrawn, depressed and had started drinking heavily along with smoking pot - not normal behavior for him. Over this year we (along with our son) became increasingly frustrated with the lack of response and proper care from the Marines. As this crisis finally reached a breaking point, our son was admitted to Holliswood hospital in summer 2012. It was there that we first met a small group of people who specialized in treating PTSD in combat veterans - and we started to learn much more about PTSD. It was the first time that we became aware of Hope for the Warriors. It was also the first time in over 1 year since our son's return that we encountered people who seemed to genuinely care for our son - and whose work and purpose was to help him - and to help us as his family. It started with an offer of a hotel room and transportation - completely paid for. This extended into seemingly small things, such as offers for dinner and spa for our daughter-in-law (who of course was struggling along with us as she watched her husband - our son - suffering with PTSD). We were somewhat overwhelmed and humbled by this generosity. It is difficult to express the sense of relief that we felt as we realized that there were people (outside of our family) who cared about our son and about what we were experiencing as a family - and who were actually doing something about it - working to reach out to us, offering to pay for hotel so that we could visit our son over a number of days, offering to pay for dinners and activities during that time, providing funds to help pay transportation costs, etc. These may seem like "small" things, but they are much more than just a "free" room and meal - Hope for the Warriors conveyed a sense of genuine caring that we had not experienced before - and not just for our family - we saw them reaching out to other families who were experiencing the same struggles that we were - allowing us to realize more concretely that we were not alone in this. The impact of their efforts cannot be overstated. It really is difficult to express our gratitude for the work that Hope for the Warriors is doing -- we have experienced it first hand as a family - and we know that there are many other families who have been blessed by their work - just as we have been.

Back in 2011 our company used Charity Navigator to search out an organization for a Veterans Day sales promotion, which would follow with a corporate donation. We found Hope For The Warriors and couldn’t be more pleased! They do amazing work for our Veterans and their families and offer many ways for citizens to get involved. We also like the fact that a very high percentage of the contributions they receive apply to the cause, and not to overhead. Our relationship has continued since our initial donation, and friendships have been built along the way. As a company, and individuals we are proud to offer continued support to H4W!

In a time of "talkers," Hope for The Warrior, "DOES!" Their staff truly believes in their mission and works with a dignity and grace assisting our nations heroes. I have had the opportunity to watch H4W staff interact with wounded veterans and am continually amazed at their positive, "can do" attitude. Problems are simply temporary speed bumps in which they adapt and improvise over, around and occasionally through any difficulty. The term "steely determination" comes to mind when I think of their staff. As a former Marine and retired FBI agent, I have seen the best and worst of our society and understand that we will fail as a civilization unless individuals and organizations understand the concept,... "for the greater good." H4W not only understands this concept but also lives by it. John Ligato

Hope for the Warriors is an outstanding organization! Not only do most of their funds go to Servicemembers (unlike the Wounded Warrior Project with high administrative costs and overhead (like dozens of expensive actor-filled commercials and fancy mailings)), but they truly benefit SERVICEMEMBERS. Few organizations have the interest of their clients at the forefront of all they do -- Hope for the Warriors is one of them.

Hope for the Warriors is one of the few organizations that actively reached out and found me. They sponsored a trip for wounded warriors and veterans to escape their everyday reality. I was able to take a trip to Conneticut and enjoy recreational activities without once having to worry about paying my way or funding something. It was great to connect with fellow veterans and i cannot thank this organization enough for this tremendous opportunity. If only there could be more organizations like this one service members would know that their service was not in vain, that there are people and organizations out there that want to see them do well.

There were times I wanted to give up and break down. It made me miss my family even more. My family is all I had to keep me strong, but being so far away from them didn't give me the strength to pull through. I couldn't afford a ticket to go home to see me family when I needed to.But recently I went home to American Samoa to reunite with my family and be a part of my brothers wedding which was a special and memorable event. Thanks to Jessica Hower and the rest of the "Hope for the Warriors" staff members for making it possible for me to see my family and be able to attend my brothers wedding. The trip was very much needed especially during a really rough time in my life when I needed my family the most. HFTW make a real difference in the lives of all service members and their families. Being with my family made me gain strength and gave me hope to get through life. It was part of a good healing process not only for me but also for my family. I can't thank them enough for their help. They also helped with my rent when I got back from my trip because of the days I took off work to go home. For the first time in a long time, I've never had to worry about anything but to just enjoy the company and comfort of my family. I feel really blessed with all the help that this organization has done for me. God Bless all the HFTW staff members and may they receive all the blessings that they truly deserve.
I was recently honored to attend a Sailing Clinic sponsored by Hope for the Warriors. Ronnie, Don and Walt, along with a host of amazing volunteers, put together one of the most influential weeks of my life. Being introduced to the sailing community in grand style (sailing with 1-1 instruction, watching the America's Cup World Series Regatta from a racing yacht in the San Francisco Bay, accepting the hospitality of Team Oracle) was an experience not to be forgotten. More importantly, being introduced to a sport which seems to have been created to treat PTSD and even out the competitive playing field for almost any disability was inspirational. The clinic was well-organized, yet flexible to accommodate each individual's challenges. Outside activities, including visiting Redwoods, were enjoyed by all and nothing felt like mandatory fun. More important than every good thing I could say about the clinic and how much it benefitted me, the people involved were the absolute salt of the earth. Ronnie Simpson's passion for sailing is only rivaled by his desire to share it with disabled veterans. Don Gray, father to the group, shared his lessons learned as a Vietnam Veteran while keeping the clinic on schedule. Walt Kotecki is one of the most compassionate guys I've ever come across. All the volunteers at BAADS (Bay Area Association of Disabled Sailors) and the sailing instructors showed us nothing but love the entire Clinic. Amazing job by all. Finally, the most inspirational part of my week was spending time with the other participants. The camaraderie and brotherhood that we lose when we transition out of the military is found in the veteran community and organizations like Hope for the Warriors allow us to tap into that source of strength and support. I can't thank you all enough.

I had an opportunity to volunteer with Hope For The Warriors this year at their Above & Beyond program. They are a fantastic group to work with and are very passionate about supporting veterans. As a veteran myself (USAF 99-03), I know that they provide excellent services and programs that are greatly appreciated by those who participate. If you are able to support this organization as a volunteer or by donating, I highly recommend it!

I volunteer with Hope for the Warriors and it is a truly wonderful organization with great staff and clients. I have been able to interact with many of their clients and the experience has been very meaningful. The range of services they offer clients is remarkable and can be a lifesaver for many people. I am always telling contacts I have in the local military and VA community here about it so they can direct potential clients there. The staff that I've interacted with are very nice and truly care about the veterans they serve - I've worked with/met Connie Morinello, Nicole Papadopoulos and Tina Atherall and they are all great! I recommend them highly!
Hope for the Warriors has made a profound difference for my family. My Husband suffers from severe combat related PTSD. Living under the constant stress and uncertainty has left us extremely depleted. Hope for the Warriors is there for us. Recently, my Husband's Warrior Wish was granted. He will be getting a specialty trained service dog to help him with his disorder. There are no words to explain how much this will impact our daily lives and truly help my Husband. Furthermore, Hope for the Warriors offered us tremendous support while my Husband was hospitalized for his PTSD. I felt very cared for and understood. Hope for the Warriors gave us a gas card so that my Son and I could visit. This organization reached out and called me regularly to make sure we were ok. The greatest compliment I can give this wonderful organization is that they live up to their name. They have given my Warrior hope. There is no measurement big enough to express our gratitude.

Hope for the Warriors has helped me in so many ways. I have had the privilege to be taken to multiple 5k races and a 10 mile run with this wonderful organization. I appreciate that they are very hands on and take the time to get to know you. I am very grateful for all of the help that they have given me and look forward to working with them in the future.

As a Veteran I am usually cautious of the many non-profits that want to "help" Veterans, this is why I am writing this review, the first time I have ever written a review about a charity, especially concerning Veterans. Hope for the Warriors is AWESOME, their dedication and care for the assistance of our Veterans is OUTSTANDING. As a US Marine Veteran I am PROUD to have met and spoken with the members of this organization, I look forward to volunteering at their events and support their efforts in any way possible. Hope for the warriors has been one of the BEST organizations hands down!!! We contacted them for help moving and i was blown away at how friendly our worker was, not only did she get things set up for us to get moved but she kept in contact and offered so much helpful info! Amber went ABOVE AND BEYOND TO make SURE WE GOT TAKEN CARE OF! I love that if I ever have a question or need info on anything TBI/PTSD related I know i can contact Hope for the Warriors and not have to try and do everything on my own anymore! I feel soo blessed by this organization!
H4W, 3-Forks Ranch (CO), and Mossy Oak-Hunting the Country (MS) just teamed to send two USAF Purple Hearts (SSgt & TSgt) on a week of outdoor adventures. It was a "life changing" experiance for them (their words not mine). From start to finish this trip was as close to perfect as you can get. The cost to our warriors? Zero! I have been on many of these outdoor adventures with our warriors. This one has set the bar very high. It is also nice to know that H4W will be there for our two warriors as long as they need support. L. Deal, USMC (ret)
Hope for Warriors gave my wife and I and all expensed paid trip to New York City for a weekend at a beautiful hotel and spa. Thank you so much for wonderful relaxing and rejuvenating time. Their staff consistently makes an effort to include us in upcoming events and are very gracious and accommodating. They truly understand that healing is a process for the whole family and not just the veterans.

I served in Vietnam. When I came home wearing my uniform I was scorned. It really hurt. America is my country and I voluntarily answered the call. I am a disabled vet and I pledge to help my brothers with part of my income. The people of the United States now seem to recognize the warrior. Please also give a little to those that gave so much.

As the proud daughter of a Marine and Vietnam veteran (who also has extended family in many branches of the military) I feel that it's important to give back to the many brave souls who sacrifice so much for our freedom. With Hope For The Warriors, I know my contribution goes directly to helping our servicemen and servicewomen. I’ve also had the privilege of talking to the President, Robin Kelleher, and she is truly genuine in her efforts to enhance the quality of life for our wounded service members and their families. Hope For The Warriors is an outstanding charity--one that everyone should do their best to support.
Review from CharityNavigator
I first met Robin Kelleher at a charity ride meeting, and I was impressed that not only the President/CEO of Hope For The Warriors had shown up, but she took time to answer every question, gave great examples of what this charity does. I'm a Vietnam Veteran and a member of a motorcycle club, and we made the decision to continuously fundraise for Hope For The Warriors. It's important to know that all the work, time and money that goes into fundraising results in actual help for those who need it- and doesn't get wasted..this is a great charity with a really great group of commited volunteers- you'll never worry that your time or money is going to waste with Hope For The Warriors
I belong to Combat Veterans of America Motorcycle Club, and 3 years ago, Robin Kelleher came to one of our monthly meetings, and told some stories about the people they have helped and wanted to involve our club. We were to think about this proposition and vote at our next meeting. I came home, got on the computer and navigated the Hope for the Warriors website. What I found was awe inspiring, touching, and just genuine concern for the military and their families. Too many times, and too many wars, the military is forgotten when they come home, and the families are left to deal with death, dismemberment, PTSD on their own. Robin never once told her own story...she just related a few instances that happened in the DC area,. I was amazed to find out that her husband was just the first person she dealt with, and I was blown away by how she was treated. When our club met the next month, I and many others had beenon their website and were totally convinced this was something we definitely wanted tho be a part.
This group has helped me far beyond I haved askedfor for, and even now continues to find ways to help me out. I am so impressed and so thankful for this group. I can't described in words what kind of support I got from this group and the hope that it had given me. They have above and beyond to help me. Thank you so much for everything.
I decided to volunteer to raise money for this notable cause and represent them in the 2012 NYC ING Marathon. As soon as I received my first email from our race sponsor (Sarah Wilkens), everything has been running smoothly. The charity website is simple and easy to navigate. The ability to send bulk emails with their templates for donation requests is great and the tracking metrics are even better. Sarah has been a great sponsor answering all of my questions and keeping all the volunteers informed and motivated. I hope to meet some of them at one of the training sessions or races before the marathon.

I cannot say enough about what a difference Hope for the Warriors makes in the lives of disabled vets. Truly the organization helps those heroes and at the same time makes sure they maintain their dignity and self respect. There could be no better leader of the non-profit than Robin Kelleher, the selfless, smart, saavy, caring and focused President. Despite her own personal needs she travels constantly on weekend and at night to work to help complete specific projects, such as the runs in North Carolina, to re-building a now "handicap accessible" home for a returning veteran in Ohio. She is tireless in her dedicated efforts to make sure the organization takes proper care of their constituency. This is a phenomenally well run non-profit and I am proud to be associated with it.

I am a retired Army officer and Viet Nam vet and am presently the CEO of a Fortune 500 company which has recently aligned with Hope For The Warriors after much research and sole searching. Of all of the organizations purporting to support our newest generation of veterans Hope For The Warriors stands out amongst all of them. The breadth and depth of their support is unmatched by any other organization. The fact that this organization was founded by military wifes speaks to their passion and determination and willingness to go above and beyond what others are doing. We look forward to the coming years of our association with Hope For The Warriors, our veterans deserve the best.

I am a Combat Disabled OIF Marine, I am missing cartlig in my knee and I have PTSD with depressive disorder. When I first enlisted I was determined to make the Marine Corps my life, but after two combat deployments my dreams of wearing my uniform to a ripe old age were crushed and I had to leave the Corps and try my hand in the civilian world. After three years of toughing out my knee problems and being repromanded several time for my temper, my depression started messing with my sleep and my concentration and be a heavy equipment operator with a class A CDL it was becoming very dangerous for myself and others around me so my doctor made me quit my job and as I wait for the VA to approve my unemployability I have zero income coming in to support my family so the bills started to mount up, so for the sake of my family I swollowed my pride and started looking for help. Hope for the Warriors swooped in and saved the day they covered all my utilities and my rent, so that at least for now the stress has slacked off and I can worry about other things, I can't thank Hope for the Warriors enough for all the help that they've given me and my family.
Review from CharityNavigator
My husband was severely wounded in Iraq in 2003. We were introduced to Hope for the Warriors in 2010 and they have provided us not only moral support but also have helped us with durable medical equipment that the VA has denied and have committed to help modify our master bath for wheelchair accessibility since the VA has also denied that. They are a God send since we could never afford these modifications on our own. The moral support that Anne and Amber have provided has been invaluable! I would recommend Hope for the Warriors to anyone - they truly care about our wounded and the families and help on so many levels.
Last year I was introducted to Hope for the Warriors . It was their mission mission statement and the support they provide our military families that I decided to volunteer. I enjoy volunteering with the group whether it is processing registration forms, introducting key members to my firm's Veterans group or participating in a run/walk. There is no doubt that Hope for the Warriors will continue to gain recognition and maturity. I look forward to working with the group in the future.

In 2011 I have had the opportunity to volunteer at several events where Hope for the Warriors sponsored warrior participation. It was a wonderful experience for me and I plan to continue as a volunteer as needed. Warrior lives are being enriched by this organization. They are finding ways to fill the gaps that might be otherwise overlooked by other government agencies and/or non-profit agencies.
I am a combat wounded Marine, and I have had my life turned upside down. I had everything that I knew and planned for taken from me. The devastating effect that has on you morale is epic. H4W gave me a reprieve from the daily struggle that is living with a combat injury, and more than that they showed me how much people care about us. The country will forever be scarred by how the Vietnam Veterans were received, but it says something that we learned from that mistake. It also reinforces to us combat wounded that we are not forgotten. Which means more than most will ever understand. I contacted a few of the people that helped me over a year later and they still remembered me. That sort of personal connection is hardly even heard of in other "industries" and I feel it really says something about the level that H4W actually cares about the vets they serve.
Review from CharityNavigator
My husband is a combat wounded veteran who was injured in 2006. We needed help relocating and finding employment for my husband and H4W changed our lives dramatically. They have gone over and above expectations and have assisted my husband and I in every way imagined from getting to interviews to renting a POD to move. They are angels to us. Also, they are an amazing support system and our second family. These folks celebrate warriors and their families by really living the mission-whether it be lending an ear or shoulder to cry on, or offering a makeover to a spouse or a week of fantastic patriotic fleet week morale boosting fun.
Over the past three years I have had the pleasure of being able to be a volunteer for Hope for the Warriors. I have been witness to an organization that truly cares for the people it serves and does the most it can with the resources available to it. I have seen the staff go above and beyond what is expected of them on several occaisions. Including one time when after working twelve hours on a fundraising event and after everyone had gone home they drove a service member an hour out of their way just so he didn't have to sit alone waiting for a cab. You don't find that kind of dedication everyday and I think it is indicative of the values to which this organization aspires. Hope for the Warriors is everything you wish a charity to be. Which is why I continue to volunteer and support them.

I was lucky enough to be able to attend fleet week with the hope for the warriors foundation and was extremely pleased. This was my first trip that I had taken with any organization since my injury and I am glad that I was able to work with the hope for the warriors staff. Throughout the stay they far exceed my expectations and were very well organized. Every single aspect of this trip was thought out in extreme detail to ensure that every person was able to enjoy their time no matter what we were doing. I would highly recommend this organization to people that are wanting to donate as well as to people that have been injured and are wanting to go on a very fun trip. It helps all of us injured service members get reintegrated back into society after our long medical needs.

I can't even focus on a starting point to express my grattitude to Hope For The Warriors. This organization has that sparkle and magic that instantly creates that family bond with servicemembers who often have an empty hole or void from within. They have not only taken care of me, my entire family has been pulled up under their wing of hope. Any event that I was priviledged enoough to be a part of HFTW far exceeded any expectations. They give you that special moment that the average family would not be able to afford or do the logistical leg work to make it happen. Everyone on their staff from highest to lowest, they are the ALL STAR team. It is hard to believe that HFTW actually cares and does the right things for people who are in need. It is organizations like HFTW that keeps this country in check with a lot of situations being out of hand in the bigger scheme of things across this nation. Please DONATE so wounded servicemembers can get the piece of mind that you enjoy everydHonored to be family with HFTW. CW4 John Lightsey, US ARMY

For the last 3 years, I've had the pleasure of running for Hope for the Warriors in the ING NYC Marathon. This will be my second year volunteering for the Big Apple Run for the Warriors, taking place in New York City. What a wonderful organization for such a worthy cause. The people are a delight--some of the nicest I have ever met. I feel honored to be a part of this organization and look forward to taking part in many more events to come!

I must say that I have had the great opportunity to have been welcomed into the this great organization. There are many groups that say or claim that they are there to help us wounded warriors that have courageously served this great nation and I tell you what there is no organization that has done more for me and helped me get outside and enjoy not only the outdoors but life again. I have been on a couple of hunting trips through them as well as skeet shoot and have always been treated so well by the family that I have been able to make through the Hope for the Warriors foundation. Emma Riley, Nicole Papadopoulos, just to name a couple of people that have really made sure that I had a great time and I look forward to not only doing some more great hunts with them but also just to hang out and help give back to my fellow wounded service members.

I have had the opportunity to engage with some of the families that have been served by Hope For The Warriors and their resounding sentiment is the care they received. They felt a part of this family and they felt like the staff "got it". I am proud to be associated with them and look forward to a long future.

I volunteered for the first time for Hope for the Warriors at the Long Island 5K/10K Run. It was a great experience - all of the employees I met were very kind and focused on ensuring the event went off without a hitch (which it did). It was busy, and they were able to direct me to where they needed the most help. I was able to meet with some of the veterans that they are helping, which was great. Overall, I would highly recommend this charity to all: service members, volunteers and donors.

Hope For The Wariors is recognized as one of the most efficient and military member and family friendly 501 (c) 3 organizations supporting this nations most treasured resource, our young service members. Administrative cost below 4%, resources go where they are most needed, helping make a difference in wounded service members lives. Having visited the wounded in hospitals and talking with their family members, you can see the despair turning into hope and joy when Hope For The Warriors members show up and help alleviate the stress associated with how can the wounded make ends meet. It has changed my life.
Hope For The Warriors is run by a great group of people. I have seen first hand how deeply they care about and for the service members and their families. I remember when Hope For The Warriors was just an idea and now it has grown to be such an amazing charity.
There are countless stories of all the good work and heart felt gestures that this organization and it's volunteers have done throughout the years. The story below is one that happened recently and is very dear to my heart.
I have a very good friend (age 22) who's husband was injured (and later died) while serving in Afghanistan. Robin with Hope For The warriors saw to it personally that my friend had the appropriate clothing and things she would need to fly to Germany. It seems like such a small thing to do, but when you get a call that your husband is injured, the last thing you think about is what the weather will be like. My friend had packed for warm weather and it was very cold in Germany.
The entire organization has been such a huge support system for my firend. For this I will forever be grateful to Robin and everyone with Hope For The Warriors.

Hope for the Warriors was there for me and my family after I was wounded in Iraq. They are more than a helping hand, they are family. As a board member, I have seen the organization never lose sight of its mission & vision. I not only trust them with financial donations, but with the lives of our service members and their families!

Hope for the Warriors is a unique organization whose commitment to meeting the needs of wounded service members, their families and families of the fallen is largely unparalleled. As a volunteer at dozens of events and a participant in a number of their programs, I have been able to witness the dedication and sincerity of the Hope for the Warriors staff. The success of its programs, its low administrative costs, and the number of repeat - volunteers, sponsors, and benefactors evinces an organization that has garnered the support of the general public by fulfilling its mission on a daily basis. I would not hesitate to donate my time or my money to Hope for the Warriors in the future – this is clearly a special organization.

Over the past few years I have had numerous opportunities to work with Hope For The Warriors and to witness the direct ways in which it assists our veterans and military families.
As a Director of an inpatient program for service members and veterans suffering from the "invisible" wounds of deployment and war, I have been able to see how Hope For The Warriors assists with immediate family needs, supporting vocational reintegration, and promoting a sense of hope and the possibility of healing.
I have developed a strong professional relationship with Hope For The Warriors, and from the top down it is an organization truly dedicated to taking care of warriors and their families. Their willingness and commitment to develop and support new and innovative programs to further assist military spouses and families speaks volumes to what the organization is all about.

I witnessed first hand how this organization salutes our Wounded Warriors here in SE NC. Great events over a several day period with excellent participation from the Warriors, their families and members of the community. My golf round with one Warrior was mind boggling..a tough day on the course but listening to his story made everyone speechless and in awe of his actions.
Although invited to this outing by a friend I have now become a donor and also have ensured that this organization obtains financial help from my company!
Superb staff and volunteers!

Participating in the H4W program has been a great experience. The staff were excellent in every aspect of the trip. They ensured that I was comfortable and well taken care of. The details of the trip were well planned and they ensured that I knew in advance of the daily activities and what to expect. It was clear that they truly care about the wounded soldiers and have a real passion for what they do.

I have volunteered for a few initiatives that Hope for the Warriors has spearheaded to bring assistance to severly injured service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. One specific initiative involved a quadruple amputee from Staten Island, Brendan Morocco. Hope for the Warriors teamed up with the Stephen Siller Foundation, the FDNY and a few other organizations to furnish a home for this dedicated hero. Hope for the Warriors worked tirelessly to leverage relationships that yielded donations of products and services to provide Brendan with an adapted environment that could aid in his recovery. H4W's efforts were truly incredible and executed with tremendous professionalism.

Hope For The Warriors was founded by fellow Marine wives that I knew personally. With this connection, I decided to support the organization by running the Marine Corps Marathon in 2008 as a member of Team Hope For The Warriors, raising funds to support the cause. As I finished the marathon that day, I celebrated alongside a young Marine who completed the race on a handcycle less than one year after the day he lost both legs to a roadside bomb. His courage and attitude made a huge impact on me and I committed myself to helping others through this organization. I ran on the MCM team twice more, volunteered with the group for another year and eventually became a Public Relations advisor for H4W. In all of that time and through all of those roles, H4W maintained an exemplary level of caring and commitment to America's wounded heroes that I continue to support to this day. Hope For The Warriors offers a wide range of programs designed to support these heroes from the first minute of their injury, through rehab and finally to hope beyond recovery. It's a mission that I'm proud to support.
I helped to create a sponsorship between the American Society of Anesthesiologists and H4W for a 5K charity fun run in San Diego (2010) and Chicago (2011). I was on the H4W Gala Committee for 2011. H4W inspires me to do more. The organization has an incredible dedicated staff. I feel blessed to be involved in their activities.

I love donating to this organization because I have seen first-hand so many of the incredible ways they have helped our wounded soldiers as well as their families. They give not just with money but give generously with their time, personal care and attention when those they help are in desparate need and often have no one else to depend on. I have witnessed them tackle enormous hurdles to assist in the healing of the traumatically injured, to provide opportunities for those wounded and disabled who fight to go forward with their lives and to be present for the small things that give comfort to the spouses and parents of our wounded. These are truly dedicated and passionate individuals who work tirelessly and unselfishly to do special work for our military.

H4Ws is an outstanding charity, as evident by the low administrative staff expenses, and the focus on combat wounded client served, I can attest to the amount of support to our combat wounded and families. They are literally a phone call away from anything from immediate needs to adaptive sports gear and wellness events. A simply outstanding organization!

I had the privilege of being invited to the 3rd Annual Wounded Angler Excursion which was sponsored by Hope For The Warriors in Tampa, FL. It was an entire weekend of good fun and truly amazing people. They organized dinner events with the local population, and 20 volunteer boat captains from the Tampa Yacht & Country Club for a memorable experience. These events give our nations heroes, both past and present, an opportunity to network and together we can help overcome the challenges placed in their way. Hope For The Warriors is a world class organization!
I have had the pleasure of volunteering with Hope For The Warriors® for the past few months, and I cannot think of a more worthwhile cause or an organization more worthy of my time. Through nine different programs, Hope For The Warriors® provides assistance to combat-wounded service members, their families, and the families of the fallen.
While some nonprofit organizations use a good portion of their donated funds to pay for administrative expenses and hire professional fundraising companies, Hope For The Warriors® does not. The Hope For The Warriors® staff members work tirelessly throughout the week managing their programs and planning events to support their mission. Furthermore, these same staff members often spend several weekends each month working the events. It is this level of dedication and commitment that allows Hope For The Warriors® to maintain very low administrative and fundraising costs, which means more donated funds go toward their mission.

Hope for the Warriors is an outstanding organization whose employees and volunteers truly believe in 'no need unmet'. They are dedicated and professional - and give unselfishly much of their own time and energy for the betterment of the organization. They are passionate about helping service members and their families, and are having an amazing impact!
A fantastic organization - whose impact is far reaching and continues to grow and expand to accommodate those in need throughout the our great country.
I have had the privilege and opportunity to serve as a volunteer for Hope for the Warriors several times and cannot begin to say how great this organization is. As a spouse of an employee for H4W’s, daily I get to hear about and see the amazing impact that this organization is having on the lives of our nation’s service members and their families. The employees are passionate about serving those that have served and gave so much. They look for every opportunity possible to give back and it is evident in the story of every service member that has worked with Hope for the Warriors. They truly embody and live by their motto, “No sacrifice unforgotten, nor need unmet.” I encourage every person that is looking to give in time or resources to consider this organization. This organization is one of the best and they make an incredible difference in the lives of so many each and every day.

As a volunteer member of the board, I have had the great honor of watching the staff of this organization consistently exceed everyone's expectations in building this organization from scratch. Simply put, they are exceptionally devoted and extremely capable. Whether at a fundraising event or program service, the proof of these qualities is found in the faces and words of those they serve.

Prior to my direct involvement with the organization I attended several events and programs which were put in place by Hope for the Warriors and I was privileged to watch them work and listen to them strategize about how they can deliver and expand a range of services to our wounded community. The organization embraces not only the individual service member but the service member’s family. Since being directly involved I see the fruit of their labor, as the organization steadily expands. I think I am most impressed by the level of selflessness, compassion and dedication to the mission. The organization founders and early staffing members have in many cases been spouses of active duty service members, who they describe as being "In the Fight" This group of individuals has character, intelligence and an absolute dedication to the mission, which is a clear formula for success. Since joining the Board I have become privy to aspects of the organization which are not readily seen by the public. Since being in this position my initial observations have been confirmed. Their dedication to good governance, particularly in the area of finances and transparency have confirmed what I felt from the beginning and that is that I am proud to work with them and proud to introduce them to others. In the area of programs, two which I have watched grow over time are the "Above and Beyond Program" a professional development program, which assists the individual in pursuing career goals outside the military. "Warrior Wish" which provides a dream come true for service members and families. A somewhat unique aspect of this organization is that it was started by Women and generally speaking the staffing and leadership are still mostly Women, having watched them over time and continually seeing the levels of compassion and caring, has led me to describe the organization as being run with a "Mother's Heart".

In 2008 my step-son enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. I can’t tell you how much this action affects one’s outlook on life, even as a family member. Suddenly every service member you see becomes part of your family and jump at the chance to help. Hope For The Warriors has become the agency through which I give my time and energy on behalf of my son, his comrades, and other families.
My first interaction with the organization was at the ASA Run For The Warriors in Chicago, Il as a volunteer. It was a cold, rainy morning but the warmth emulated from the participants and Hope For The Warriors staff was enough to alleviate any chill. As a first time volunteer, my experience was enough to make me continue volunteering with the organization.
I am blessed every day to know that my son was never hurt, and carry the understanding that this could easily change in an instant. Unfortunately, this has been the case for many families. It is the job of this great nation to ensure that these families and service members are not forgotten, and it is organizations like Hope For The Warriors that strive to make sure that doesn’t happen. Their dedication, motivation, and compassion for wounded service members, their families, and the families of fallen service members is unparalleled

This charity does the most amazing work for wounded warriors and their families, and they do it on a shoestring budget, with exceedingly low administrative expenses. The people involved are devoted to their cause and work tirelessly to ensure that help is given to deserving soldiers. They recognize on a highly personal level the needs of the military members they serve, as the founders of this charity are wives of marines, some of whom have been critically injured on the battlefield. I have personally witnessed the dedication and commitment of the individuals in charge in their fulfillment of the goals of this organization and feel secure that my donations are in good hands.
I have been involved with Hope For The Warriors for a few years now, and last year had the honor and humbling experience of being asked to serve on the Skyline Salute Committee. Skyline Salute is one of the organization's largest events held here in New York City.
It is hard to put into words the feeling of privilege that comes from working with a group of people who truly put their heart and souls into their work. The warmth, love and support shown by the amazing men and women who run this organization is felt well beyond the service members who they support.
Hope For The Warriors is, without a doubt, a top notch organization who I can only hope to continue to align myself with in the future.

An excellent organization. At a time when I needed some help, H4W stepped in and got the job done. H4W provided a hand-cycle and because of that I have been able to maintain my physical health following a devastating injury that left me paralyzed. H4W provided a foundation that my family could build on and because H4W provided the necessary equipment we have been able to participate in many cycling events nationwide as well as ride together as a family on almost a daily basis. H4W got me out of the house and outside living again. They changed my life.
I have been working with H4W for the last 3 years as a corporate volunteer advisor and runner. H4W does what they say they're going to do and they do it tirelessly. They spend countless hours raising money to provide injured military members and their families gifts they could not otherwise afford, they bring military families together, and they rally the general community to the cause.

I currently belong to Team Hope for the Warriors and participate in multiple races with my handcycle. The organization has given me the ability to compete with others and to regain the love of exercise since my spine injury. This organization will go out of its way to help. I love them so much.

As a military spouse I see many organizations that claim to help our service members, but drop the ball often. Hope for the Warriors is a real charity that truly helps those who deserve our help after putting their lives on the line for our country.
There are many organizations who support the Military. Hope for Warriors supports the wounded military after they come home! This is when the need is the greatest. Veterans' unemployment in the USA is significantly higher than that of civilians. So, such an organzation who caters to getting wounded veterans back on their feet is essential for both the individual as well as our society's needs. Additionally, soldiers knowing that there is a resource to them should anything happen in the line of duty, can take pride in continuing to serve our Country and keep us safe!
An example of this organization's efforts - a marine from N. NJ was planning on making a career out of the USMC. He was injured in IRAQ. He could no longer use his legs/ankles.
Hope for Warriors donated a hand cycle to him, enabling him to successfully compete in a half-marathon. Not only did this address his physical needs, but also his emotional needs by giving him confidence that he could be a useful member of society again.
He has since joined Hope for Warriors' "Above & Beyond Professional Development Program" to help transition him into the civilian workforce.
This is one of many successes that this Charity has accomplished. I am proud to be a donor to keep them going!

I have been a member of Team Hope for the Warriors since 2009. I joined the team 3 years ago when running in the Marine Corps Marathon. When looking for a MCM charity, I knew that I wanted to help raise money for a charity focused on military veterans and searched all those available for that year. Hope for the Warriors stood out to me for everything it encompasses. After running the race in 2009, I was amazed at the organization's high level of support to wounded veterans who competed on the team, which inspired me to run again in 2010 and soon to be 2011. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to run for this charity for the past 3 years. Hope for the Warriors is deserving of its high standing.

Hope For the Warriors has helped me meet other veterans who have served as we motivate others and complete physical and mental challenges. The staff are generous and understanding and we show others that although we are injured we still push through as a group

This is a great organization. The individuals who run this organization are wonderful!! They have been there every time we needed them.

I am a member of Team Hope for the Warriors. I joined the Team last year, simply as a way of gaining entry into the NYC marathon. I thought it would be a good experience, and a worth while cause, I would run the marathon and be done. Little did I realize how impacted I would be by the work this organization does and the courage of the men and women they serve. Never have I seen an organization do so much with so little. Hope for the Warriors has earned this rating and deserves our support, financially and emotionally. I ran the marathon in 2010. I am running it again in 2011 as part of Team H4W, not because I needed the entry, but because it's the least I could do.
I am a retired Marine that was injured in Iraq in 2003, Hope For The Warriors has helped me connect with other Veterans through their Hope and Morale programs. This has helped me tremendously with my mental well being. Going on trips with fellow wounded Vets recharges my mind and I also get to make friends all over the Country.
The staff at H4W treats everyone of us like we are family, in turn we are one giant family. This is a great Organization and I am happy to be a part of them.

I am an active duty Marine and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC when Hope For The Warriors (H4W) started. I have also personally seen the positive impact the organization has had on the lives of injured servicemembers. My wife has volunteered and worked for H4W since the beginning and her personal stories are both heartwrenching and fulfilling. H4W is not a coporation, business or like any other nonprofit that you see out there. H4W is composed of employees, volunteers, donors and others who do what they do only because they want to help our nation's heroes. Compare any other organization's financial statics or list of employees and volunteers--NO COMPARISON.
I have started a community based Team Hope For The Warriors in Tampa, FL. We want to raise the level of awareness of H4W while participating in events around the state. I want to ensure that WE NEVER FORGET and ALWAYS support those who have given life and limb for our country.
I had the privilege of working as a volunteer photographer for a recent 3 day event in Tyler, Texas where our Warriors were given a memorable weekend of golf, food, friendship and respect. I saw firsthand the care and concern that is given to each of the soldiers by this organization and I was very impressed by how each person showed a genuine desire for helping our heroes to feel welcome, honored and respected. I believe that Hope For The Warriors is a credible organization that does exactly what it says it does and I would gladly work with them again any time. Great job!

In the competitive world of non-profits, Hope for the Warriors stands shoulders above all the rest. By providing care and support to not only our military wounded and their families but also to the families of the fallen, H4TW have proven themselves time and time again with their compassion and heartfelt caring. Their staff, from the top down, are a high energy group of individuals who do not know the meaning of the words "we can't". I have seen the remarkable results of their programs on the families they have chosen to help and they are priceless. Being an administrator of a small non-profit, I can appreciate the time and personal effort spent by H4TW staff and volunteers in seeing their missions to completion.
Hope for The Warriors deserves not only our utmost respect and consideration for the job they do for our military personnel every day but they deserve to be supported generously with goods, services, and money so they can continue their valuable work across the country.

I first met members of this charity several years ago because of my MCL's support of the Wounded Warrior Barracks. I was more amazed at enthusiasm and dedication of this agency's members virtually all volunteers. Their response to Marine family needs, who I referred to them was rapid, and met their immediate needs. This response time during the critical needs period really makes a difference to these Wounded Warriors and particularly the family. Looking for a good "Bang for my charity Bucks", i researched their IRS990's, to compare. Needless to say, something they can be proud of.
Keep up the energy and continued success!

The entire staff at Hope for the Warriors are amazingly compassionate and professional when meeting the immediate financial needs of our OEF/OIF/OND Veterans. Their generosity has given our Veterans the opportunity to keep their apartments/homes and obtain vital necessities when the immediate financial need presents. They do not receive enough acknowledgement for their work, thank you for all you do Hope for the Warriors!

Hope For The Warriors
I believe that there are two critical elements in ascertaining the worth of a charitable organization, especially one who's stated mission is to lend a much needed hand to our veterans and active military personnel in need.
First: Is it a highly rated charity by a well established and respected independent charity ratings entity.
Second: Does the charity execute squarely within its stated Mission with tangible results
Hope For warriors clearly excells on both counts: 4 Star ratings, the top rating, from Charity Navigation , the leading not-for-profit charity rating entity.
And , Hope For The Warriors, with a proven track record of completely adhearing to its Mission satement :"The mission of Hope For The Warriors® is to enhance quality of life for U.S. service members and their families nationwide who have been adversely affected by injuries or death in the line of duty. Hope For The Warriors® actively seeks to ensure that the sacrifices of wounded and fallen warriors and their families are never forgotten nor their needs unmet "and executing in a very ethical manner on every count ( visit their web site for details) fully meets the second critical criteria.
So if you are interesteded in helping those in need who freely volunteered to go into harm's way on behalf of every American, then I encourage you to contribute to Hope For The Warriors. In doing so you can have the utmost confidence that your funds will do just that.
