Review for The Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education, Raleigh, NC, USA
I am really impressed by the quality of the Poe Center's outreach efforts. After years of hearing what a great job they have done bringing their "edutainment" modules to summer campters, I finally had a chance to see them in action myself. I participated in a "Drugs Uncovered" training that they provided at the Wake County Commons Building. I knew that I had signed up for a parent workshop on what to look for to know if your teen is doing drugs, and expected a 2-hour lecture. Instead, I walked into a huge training room where a real-size replica of a teen's room had been created. The knowledgeable and engaging health educator spent the next few hours pointing out how seemingly innocent items in the room could indicate drug use. (Who knew that 420 is significant?! If you're a parent and you don't know, you need to go to the next presentation!)

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I attended a Drugs Uncovered workshop that was not only FUN, but also taught very specific things to look for in your child's room and vocabulary that might indicate they are using drugs.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would encourage them to do more advertising so that more people could take advantage of their services.
