My Nonprofit Reviews

Gene Carter
Review for Operation Homefront, Inc, San Antonio, TX, USA
I have been a financial and service donor to OH for 4-years now and have seen real results as the DC metro chapter has served the significant needs of our deployed troops' families and the large number of families healing from the significant wounds of war at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and other military medical centers in the chapter's three-state footprint. I have the utmost confidence in their ability to manage the organization to get the biggest bang for my donated buck and I have personally witnessed their staff going above and beyond the highest reasonable expectation to meet the needs of these families. You can't go wrong supporting this fine group of selfless servants.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
transitioning military families who had lived in one room hotel-like accommodations for over a year while they were going through medical treatment into no-cost apartments where they were able to heal quicker and with a reduced stress-level for both the injured troop and his/her family. This is one of hundreds of examples of the significant impact of this group on our deserving military families
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Apply it's excellent performance to more remote areas once funding becomes available
