Review for Triple R Horse Rescue Of Arizona, Cave Creek, AZ, USA

As the founder of the LUV Shack Ranch Horse Rescue I have watched it grow and have an amazing impact on the community, children, adults and the horses. I have seen this organization go through its ups and downs and now significant growth. The mission is to Rescue, rehabilitate and adopt out horses, and this organization has rescued 392 horses to date. The amount of children that have been affected by the LUV Shack has been like the ripple affect.

This organization through the volunteers and horses have changed my life. I have seen volunteers bring 100% of their time, talent and money to the rescue to make a difference. It is an honor to be a part of an organization that means so much to so many!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

donate some land to the LUV Shack so that they could combine the two locations and all of the animals, volunteers and kids can come together. Right now the organization is on 2 acres and borrowed. Also I will bring in leaders, those with more knowledge, experience and ability to continue the growth and secure the future of the LUV Shack.

How did you learn about this organization?

I founded the organization after i saw the need in the north Phoenix area, where we are not too far from the kids who need the healing touch of the horses. The parents, guardians and teachers were desperate for a place where a child could feel that they are making a difference in the world.

What is this organization's top short-term priority?

Short term priority is to continue to serve and create a safe place for kids and horses. To find a permanent home for the LUV Shack.

What is its top priority in the long run?

Long term priority is to have land donated to the LUV Shack in the North Phoenix area not too far for most of the kids to be able to come and make a difference.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2011

Role:  Board Member & I have rescued and been on every horse rescue, developed all of the kids programs, designed volunteer opportunities, trained others, gentled abused and neglected horses, fundraisers, created an opportunity for trainers, horses and adoptors to come togeth.
