Review for Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue, Inc., Glenville, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Angel Acres is one of the most professional programs I have had the pleasure to deal with. Thank yous were prompt and I have been kept informed about how my donation is being used. I would not think twice about donating again. Their mission is clearly stated and they stick to it. It is clear that their leader Jo truly cares about the welfare of horses. Angel Acres is the real deal.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

It is the first time that I have donated to an organization that has kept me in the loop as to how the campaign is going.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

change nothing. They are great

Role:  Donor & donated.

Review for United Horsemens Front, Hermiston, OR, USA

Rating: 1 stars

Their name is misleading. I joined thinking they were horse lovers . What a mistake! They should be renamed the United Horse Slaughter Industry Supporters. They are not lovers of horses, they only love the money they make from them. When these same horses have served their purpose, this group promotes slaughtering them to eek out every last penny. They claim it is their right to do what they want with their animals because its their property. They disparagingly refer to anyone concerned with humane treatment as "freaks" or "AR's. To attempt to make the idea of consuming horsemeat more palatable, they claim there is no issue with horses being given drugs that are banned in horses for human consumption by the FDA .I was very disappointed in this group.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

several instances where they claim to promote horse welfare. Instead their solution to every issue facing the horse industry is to slaughter them.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

change their name to really reflect who they are.

Role:  General Member of the Public & I left the group once I realized what they really were.
