Review for Placer County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty To Animals, Roseville, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As many family's today we are a very busy family and I simply didn't have the time to take classes and volunteer. The reason I initially started was my daughter's persistence and love for animals. I am ashamed to say I was not looking forward to it because I felt way to busy between full time work and raising three teenagers. But from the very first orientation I felt this sense of urge to participate and have felt hooked and now look forward to it! If you can just take the time (even just 4 hrs) to be a JR team it is a bonding experience that both you and your teen will remember forever!!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My daughter has been wanting to volunteer at the Placer SPCA ever since she attended there Summer camp. Although she was to young to work directly with the animals, Mary Terrell did a wonderful job in educating the kids in how they could help & left a lasting impression. For yrs my daughter has been counting the dys until she would be old enough to work directly with the animals. Now she is 16 we are finally a Jr team at the SPCA The education classes are great & we couldn't feel more fulfilled!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Have more money to make a bigger facility so there would be more room to take in more animals. I also wish there was the ability to take more classes and that the classes count for both the Auburn facility so that you could volunteer at both. The classes are so wonderful I wish there was more room and more ability to offer maybe two of each in a month.

Would you volunteer for this group again?

Definitely

For the time you spent, how much of an impact did you feel your work or activity had?

Did the organization use your time wisely?

Very Well

Would you recommend this group to a friend?

Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)
