Review for Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, Inc., Dallas, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As a GALT volunteer and donor, I can definitely attest to this important organization. My greyhound broke his leg during his last race back in 2010. GALT is the only greyhound adoption group in Texas that will accept greyhounds with broken leg injuries from the racetrack. Without GALT, I shudder to think of what would have happened to him. GALT paid for his broken leg surgery and his loving foster mom opened up her home to him during his recuperation. With GALT, you can rest assured your donation will go towards helping the greyhounds.

GALT is a remarkable greyhound rescue organization run 100% by volunteers and funded 100% by donations and fundraisers. My involvement with GALT started when my husband and I began our search for a new family member. During our adoption process we discovered GALT to be extremely organized, efficient, and dedicated. Due to the the generous donations and hard work of GALT's volunteers, thousands of greyhounds have been placed into forever homes.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my adoption of Dolce. Dolce was taken in by GALT after his racing injury. GALT paid for his surgery and rehabilitation. His loving and generous foster family introduced him to home life, which made his transition into our house seamless. Dolce joined our family happy, healthy and well-adjusted. This is a testament to GALT's successful work with rescuing and rehabilitating greyhounds and placing them into forever homes.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

My only wish is that more people will dedicate themselves to this amazing organization.
