Review for Diabetes Foundation, Mahwah, NJ, USA
Volunteering at the DFI has just been an amazing experience. Although being in medical school doesn't allow much time to do any extra-curricular activities, every chance I get to participate, I do! After working with Roberta and Dr. Sokol with medical assistance applications, helping manage health fairs, attending public education meetings, and creating flyers for various fundraising events, I have learned a great deal as well as made many new friends.
The staff at the DFI is amazing- very friendly, very outgoing and very understanding. Even if volunteering two days a week is all you can do, they are willing to take your help!
The experiences I have gained volunteering at the DFI has changed my perspective in the field of medicine I want to partake in. I am leaning toward endocrinology and diabetology as my line of profession. Thanks, DFI !

I was there for the first annual Run the Palisades-5K run and this year was their 3rd. They are truly working hard to make it enjoyable for everyone but at the same time help improve lives of diabetics who cannot afford their medications.

I don't think I would change anything in this organization. I've seen them improve in the past and they still keep improving each day!
