Review for A Place For Peanut Inc, Houston, TX, USA
Great team doing great work for rescued horses and minis. A Place for Peanut has saved many horses from the kill pen and subsequent slaughter. The founder leads with a true servants heart and always find a way to save these animals, rehab them, and give them a new life with people who will love and care for them as they deserve.
Review for A Place For Peanut Inc, Houston, TX, USA
A Place for Peanut was created out of love and compassion to save horses from near death at the hand of kill pens and abusers. Through dedications, hard-work, much self-sacrifice, and grassroots effort, the founder created a safe haven for rescued horses to heal and become the magnificent creatures they are meant to be. Healing horses can also heal a community, like kids battling cancer, who can visit and feel the magic of a horse or pony. A Place for Peanut is a place of miracles because one human believed so strongly in just doing the right thing.
Review for Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Association, Katy, TX, USA
I came to volunteer for Pin Oak because of my daughters' love of horses and one who needs the care of Texas Children's Hospital - one of Pin Oak Charity Horse Show's benefactors. It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of this organization with such a long and rich history of helping children.
The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show has a helped thousands of children and families who need the expert medical care of Texas Children's Hospital and the comfort of Houston's Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms located in TCH with our support of those two charities. We do more than provide financial support we seek to make a visible difference in the lives of these children with hospital visits, ArtReach days, book drives for both organization's libraries, games for their play areas and more.
Pin Oak Charity Horse Show also gives back to the community by supporting education of children by hosting hundreds of school children annually for a behind the scenes look at a horse show, learn about equestrian sports, and the care involved for horses.
The commitment is deep, the show itself is world-class, and the PIn Oak "family" is a wonderful group of people who are passionate about horses and passionate about bringing healing through our support.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Because my daughter needs the on-going care of Texas Children's Hospital, I see how Pin Oak's contributions make a difference with every visit to the hospital.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would like to see the awareness raised across the greater Houston community about Pin Oak - the show, the charities we support, and the commitment we have to helping children.
