The Foundation for Nursing Excellence charts the trail for improving health care for North Carolinians and keeps the nursing profession moving toward innovative practice. For example, the FFNE has led the campaign for implementing the National Academies of Sciences Institute of Medicine (IOM) Recommendations on the Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health. In fact, due to the FFNE, adopting the Recommendations in NC is farther along when compared to all other states.

Attended the Summit on the Future of Nursing where ( on April 11, 2011) thought leaders were convened to generate ideas on implementing the IOM Recommendations. The Summit was a success with diverse involvement and a consensus plan by the end of the day.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
arrange for it to receive more money.
