Review for Abbe Freeland Animal Sanctuary Inc, Angelica, NY, USA
I have been a donor and supporter of Abbe-Freeland Animal Sanctuary (AFAS) for a few years now. From the beginning I was impressed with the number of different species they rescue--from owls to beavers to deer to cats to ducks to donkeys--regardless of the species, AFAS is there to help.
Something else that has impressed me about AFAS from the beginning is the educational value they provide. With every photo they post of their rescued animals they talk about behaviors, diet, environment, physical aspects--it's just amazing how much you learn!
I'm very particular about the sanctuaries I support and there are very few who I would rate with 5 stars, but AFAS is definitely worth every one! Thank you AFAS for your unfailing commitment to help any animal in need!
Review for WildCat Ridge Sanctuary, Scotts Mills, OR, USA
I have had the privilege of being involved with WildCat Haven for several years in different capacities--onsite work, events, fundraising, working with the public. It continues to be an honor to promote the good work being performed by this sanctuary. And they are a TRUE sanctuary in that they do not buy, breed, sell or exhibit their rescues--and they are NOT open to the public. The well being of the cats is the first priority. The rescues receive the best care possible--veterinary care, shelter and food. Unlike so many sanctuaries and shelters, your donations go directly toward the care of the cats. WCH has only ONE paid staff--an animal care technician. I encourage everyone to support the good work of WildCat Haven!
