Abbe-Freeland Animal Sanctuary works very hard to ensure all of their animals in rehabilitation have wonderful living conditions. They go over and above. The beavers have protected access to their ponds, foxes can run and play in a large exposure, etc. . I have been a volunteer there for over 20 years and am still amazed at their dedication.

I have been a supporter of Abbe-Freeland for about 2 years. I am so impressed by how many different species of animal that they either rehab/release or give lifetime care for if no release is possible. I am very particular about which nonprofits I support and it was an easy call to support AFAS. Cher Button-Dobmeier is an amazing lady who has an incredible gift for helping animals in need. If you want to help a great organization then I highly recommend Abbe-Freeland.

I have done a few off-site volunteer-related duties for Abbe Freeland, and they are the absolute nicest people in the world. They care so much about their animals, take them to get the best vet care which is quite a drive for them, and dedicate their lives to these animals. The resident animals all have their photos posted on their website and Facebook page, so you can see how happy and healthy they are. I have heard and seen through pictures the extent these people will go to save and care for injured wildlife. It's amazing. Seriously the most kind-hearted people I've ever known. They are a small mom profit and they spend so much of their own money to save these animals, and they are so grateful for any help they receive whether it's donations, supplies or time.

I have been a donor and supporter of Abbe-Freeland Animal Sanctuary (AFAS) for a few years now. From the beginning I was impressed with the number of different species they rescue--from owls to beavers to deer to cats to ducks to donkeys--regardless of the species, AFAS is there to help.

Something else that has impressed me about AFAS from the beginning is the educational value they provide. With every photo they post of their rescued animals they talk about behaviors, diet, environment, physical aspects--it's just amazing how much you learn!

I'm very particular about the sanctuaries I support and there are very few who I would rate with 5 stars, but AFAS is definitely worth every one! Thank you AFAS for your unfailing commitment to help any animal in need!
