I enjoy volunteering with NC Greenpower because they work hard to reach all types of audiences from school children to adults. We participate in fairs, concerts, school programs and even company sponsored events. The awareness helps generate more volunteers and funds in order to further the mission to increase the use of renewable energy resources in NC. The dollars that they send to generators helps some who might not be able to make the switch to renewable energy make that switch. I find the educational aspect most interesting and the growth that we've seen in the state is striking and NC Greenpower has played a crucial role in that growth.

They are extremely well regarded and offered premier speaking opportunities within the community.

I have volunteered for Special Olympics since the 1999 World Games. I have also volunteered and been employed by a number of nonprofit organizations. With all that experience, I have found Special Olympics North Carolina to be among the best run organizations that delivers incredible programming for their constituents for a relatively small budget. They do this by fully utilizing volunteers and using their funds wisely.
