We were very happy to be a recipient in 2016 of a grant from NC GreenPower to install a solar array at our school and to partner with them both in further fundraising for this solar array and in its installation. They do good work and were a pleasure to work with all along the way!

As a board member, I am proud to play a part in helping drive the mission of NC GreenPower, especially it's focus on renewable energy in schools. As a mother of two, I know the importance of teaching our children about our options for a sustainable future and NC GreenPower provides a hands-on way for children (and their parents) to learn more about the benefits of renewable energy. The staff, volunteers and board are passionately committed to finding innovative solutions that will reduce our carbon footprint and promote a more sustainable future.

I've interacted with NC GreenPower in a variety of ways over the years and have always been impressed with their mission and passion. After being a long term donor, I was pleased to be asked to join the board several years ago and had an opportunity to learn more about their operations and impact. Last week it all came together for me as I was able to attend a ribbon cutting of a new solar installation at a local school that NC GreenPower funded. As an educator myself, it was wonderful to see how NC GreenPower's model ties together environmental stewardship with applied learning opportunities.

I've volunteered for NC Greenpower a few times now, and it's always been a good experience. They provide volunteers with a clear guide on what is required from them and a good opportunity to interact with the public at the events they attend. From my time as a volunteer I've gotten the chance to speak to business owners, community figures, and interesting folk in general about their projects and the advancement of green energy in North Carolina. I have always felt good about the time spent volunteering for them, and it was productive for both myself and the organization.

If you are looking for a useful and clear way to spend volunteer hours and gain experience in public speaking and green tech, then this is an ideal opportunity for you.

I recently attended a ribbon cutting for NC GreenPower's Solar Schools program. It was exciting to see the enthusiasm and support for this program and NC GreenPower as a whole. The NC GreenPower employees are passionate and dedicated. They are truly making a positive and sustainable impact across North Carolina.

I've been a donor since NC GreenPower started in 2003 because I believe in who they are and what they do. These are dedicated, passionate professionals who just want to do good for all that they serve - our NC environment, economy and now K-12 schools with their new Solar Schools initiative. They are a 501(c)(3) so my donation is tax-deductible and they are overseen by the NC Utilities Commission so they are really transparent. I would definitely tell people to support this group because they care and are doing right with my donations.

They really care about the work they do and supporting North Carolina and its environment, and they do a tremendous job with outreach and education. NC GreenPower is an amazing organization that I have been affiliated with for over four years. The staff and volunteers are dedicated to renewable energy and also focus on Solar Schools projects across NC that allow students to learn firsthand about solar power with their own array of solar panels on their campus. Cannot express enough how great NC GreenPower is!

I love volunteering for NC GreenPower. It's fun to watch people learn about the great programs they offer to schools around the state and get excited to start a solar program at their local school. Maybe it's because the sun always makes people happy, but getting to educate people about solar power projects - and other renewable energy initiatives that NC GreenPower supports in NC - is one of the most rewarding ways I get to spend my extra time.

I've been contributing to this nonprofit for many years. I really appreciate that they are using my donations to support green power in our state and think their new solar schools grant is really awesome! The small monthly donation that I make is easy to do and makes me feel good about supporting solar power.

NC GreenPower provides a very easy way to support our local renewable economy here in North Carolina. I love that they take the donations they receive and use them to directly support specific renewable energy projects in our state, whether it is at a school, home, or business. Because of all of the events they attend, there are also a lot of great opportunities for volunteers! I've really enjoyed getting their name out and raising awareness about solar power and other renewables. Thank you NC GreenPower for all that you do!

I am so happy that NC GreenPower exists. I think they do really great work and are actually doing things to help the Earth every day. I volunteered for them in the past and will definitely volunteer for them again in the future. They are an awesome non-profit. I wish every state would adopt similar programs. Keep up the good work!

NC GreenPower is doing an excellent job in helping to reach out to students to help them learn about the benefits of Solar Power. Their Green Schools program assisted us in a partnership to install a 5 kWh solar array at one of our middle schools as well as providing curriculum training and materials for use in the classroom.

It is exceptionally rare for an organization to devote so much of its time to promote clean energy for the better of every individual, and that is what NC Green Power does. I have volunteered twice with NC Green Power, and in both times, I have had an educational and exciting experience. I had doubts the first time volunteering with NC Green Power. I thought many people would not be interested in learning about the benefits of solar energy, but to my surprised, I had many different conversations with others about solar panels and other methods that promotes clean energy. By volunteering my time with NC Green Power, I myself have learned more about solar energy and the advantages that it has over other energy sources like fossil fuel or nuclear. It is very essential for an organization like NC Green Power to promote clean energy because we have to switch to renewable energy at some point in the future. Lastly, I support NC Green Power's program of providing schools with solar panels and teaching young generations about clean energy. All in all, I think it is very great that NC Green Power is trying to help the environment, and I think every individual should be involved in improving our environment for future generations.

NC GreenPower is an excellent non-profit that has been doing great work throughout the state of NC for well over 10 years. I've volunteered for them at two events so far and have enjoyed first learning more details about NC GreenPower and then telling others about it. It's a little bit complex to describe all that NC GreenPower does for people to really understand its reach but with the training resources offered prior to events, it is manageable. I look forward to working more events in the future for NC GreenPower and helping them continue their mission.

I enjoy volunteering with NC Greenpower because they work hard to reach all types of audiences from school children to adults. We participate in fairs, concerts, school programs and even company sponsored events. The awareness helps generate more volunteers and funds in order to further the mission to increase the use of renewable energy resources in NC. The dollars that they send to generators helps some who might not be able to make the switch to renewable energy make that switch. I find the educational aspect most interesting and the growth that we've seen in the state is striking and NC Greenpower has played a crucial role in that growth.

They are extremely well regarded and offered premier speaking opportunities within the community.

My volunteer work with NC Green Power has given a chance to work with many organizations, groups of people, and individuals that care about where they live and work. The majority of the folks I have presented to appreciated the technology information and opportunity the NC Green Power program offers them to do some common sense things to make NC a more energy independent and less polluted. From the questions and comments folks have given me it is clear most folks did not know how proven and economical most renewable energy technology is. Many didn't know how most of the modern renewable energy advances are already working in the everyday tech around them. It is clear to me that with information folks, older and younger, appreciate that it is possible to meet energy needs with less pollution and cost. Being a volunteer for NC Green Power has helped me make some difference helping other know they can make a difference.
