Review for The Water Project Inc., Concord, NH, USA
This started as a great idea that I was very excited about. Unfortunately the forum has just become a posting board for every person's personal site, spam, and needless information. Little moderation is involved, and the "Point" system is just based on people logging in and adding each other as friends. I'm not interested in joining a prayer group online, I want to contribute to a fund that brings water to people who need it.

The online interaction is disappointing.
Jack, I'm sorry that the interaction you have personally experienced on myWaterProject didn't live up to your expectations. We're working on doing better at that. We have a very, very small staff and can't always be as active responding to comments on the forums as we'd like. That said, the forums are really only one small part of myWaterProject. The larger purpose of myWaterProject is to educate and inspire advocates. If you'll notice, the point system is actually setup to encourage folks to read through a good portion of our website and to invite others to do the same. This helps "tell the story" of the water crisis. myWaterProject also provides a "dashboard" for users to create personalized fundraising pages and then to track every water project they support - as it happens. While the "forums" may not be that active, the myWaterProject platform has helped us raise more than $700k in less than a year. That's a huge amount of growth representing over 100 water projects funded. So... people are most certainly "interacting" with their own networks of friends and family, primarily through those fundraising pages. I hope you'll reconsider rating us as an organization and not just by one of the tools we're trying to use to help others in need. Thanks for your thoughts. -- Peter Chasse President, The Water Project, Inc.
