Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals
Mission: The organization provides a home for animals that may otherwise be slaughtered, abused, or left to roam without food or water. The focus of the organization is wild horse rescue and sanctuary, education and preservation of diverse natural herd groups.
Programs: In 2014 the organization provided a safe haven to over 400 wild horses and burros, provided education tours and clinics throughout the year and continued to preserve several rare and distinct bloodlines at our california sanctuary.
I visited Return to Freedom once and could not stop going back. The work they do for nearly 500 horses and burros, as well as advocacy for wild horses on the range is incredible. So incredible that I was happy to become a member of their Board of Directors recently.
Over the past few years new staff are on board and the operation is really running on all cylinders. They work hard and every dollar is well spent.
