I have been privileged to know many of the folks who help Achievement Center of Texas ("ACT") function day-to-day. These people are kind, dedicated professionals who have chosen to help ACT reach its goals of serving and empowering some of our community's most vulnerable individuals. ACT's leadership is solid--from its driven and experienced Executive Director to its engaged Board of Directors. Most importantly, ACT's leadership is committed to continually assessing its operation and finding room for improvement. I am so happy to be involved with this organization, and I really look forward to seeing how ACT continues to positively impact its community for years to come.

Thank God, we found ACT when our son started high school. We were simply hoping for good care and safety. What we found were loving caregivers that encourage him to flourish. They focused on his interests and built opportunities around his needs. Five stars is not near enough. When asked I joined the Board to be an active part of this great organization. ACT lives up to its motto, "Special Needs, Our Specialty."

I got involved with ACT because they truly care about their clients and go all out to service their needs. They go far and above what is expected or required in their service level. They also are on the forefront of technology such as robots helping the clients learn. They want to increase each client's skills to the maximum level.

I have been involved in ACT sence 1999. I do not know of another organization that does a better job of taking care of their clients then thay do. They have an excellent staff and they are very caring. They try to involve each and every client in some type of actativity. If I had a child with needs, I would want that child to be able to attend ACT!!

My autistic grandson began attending the Achievement Center of Texas during school summer breaks starting when he was 6 years old. The changes in his attitude, interaction with other children, and his family changed in such a positive way it was truly remarkable. We felt so blessed to have found this special organization that improved the lives of so many children and adults with a variety of special needs and worked so hard to help them become as independent as their "special abilities" would allow them. My grandson is now 20 years old and a much better person thanks to the Achievement Center of Texas.

For the last several years I have proudly sat on the board of this exceptional organization to help in any way I can to support the efforts of the center. Achievement Center of Texas is now in its 35th year of operation and has helped many families cope with the demanding needs of raising these very special children. The director and staff are lovely and loving people who truly care about their students and have created a program that lets each person achieve their full potential.

Achievement Center of Texas is a life changing experience for the students that attend. They truly blossum and become all that they can be thanks to the truly wonderful staff!

Before I was a board member I helped with fund raising activities for Achievement Center of Texas. I believed in the services being provided and knew several of the students and parents from my volunteer time with another non profit providing similar services.

Special attention by the staff ensures students are able to identify, nurture and express their unique talents through the Special Arts Program. Many students would never know they have a special talent much less express that talent if not for attending Achievement Center of Texas.

It was an easy decision to join the board where each volunteer board member is dedicated to making Achievement Center of Texas the best it can be.
