Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Human Services, Salvation Army

Mission: We at Unity, A Journey of Hope have built a strong foundation from our Southwestern Pennsylvania roots and growing our Non-Profit Organization to granting over 100 wishes to date. Unity, A Journey of Hope Created in the spring of 2007 and has since become a non-profit, tax-exempt, public charity. Unity, A Journey of hope presently services: Southwestern Pennsylvania, the greater Pittsburgh and surrounding tri-state areas. Founded in Vanderbilt, PA., Fayette County. built circa 1854, known to neighbors as "The Unity School." Following a life-time dream John & Bobbi remodeled their home in 2001 In August of 2007 Bobbi & John decided to create a non-profit that grants wishes not only to Johns patients but they extended their hands to the surrounding community in order to grant wishes. This endeavor has proven to be a true blessing to the Robinson's. , Johns hospice work was a stepping stone to what is now named "Unity, A Journey of Hope." Granting wishes to adults with life-limiting illnesses. Unity from its humble beginnings has grown into a national wish granting organization. Within this past year their hands have indeed stretched far beyond their local community granting wishes in Houston Texas, Denver Colorado, New Jersey, and Chicago Illinois as well as the greater Pittsburgh area. Unity's reach is not limited. Unity has "Operation Christmas Wish" where Unity gives the spirit of Christmas to families, whose parent has a life-limiting illness and cannot afford Christmas. Unity also "Adopts a Veteran" each year to say "Thanks for your service." Unity also leases out Durable Medical Equipment to people who may fall through the cracks and have needs that insurance can't help with. So won't you please consider helping unity grow, become a volunteer, volunteer your expertise, donate, get involved in making Unity a premier wish granting organization and like our motto states, with YOU and UNITY we will... "Change one life, one wish at a time..." To "Change One Life, One Wish at a Time" Unity grants wishes to adults 18 years of age and older with life-limiting illnesses.

Programs: Program expenses (final wishes of terminally ill adults)

My family and I were blessed by the kindness and selflessness of Bobbi and John Robinson with Unity when our dog went missing in Uniontown, PA. They are such a wonderful couple with a wonderful charity, full of love and light, looking to help make others lives better and more fulfilling.

We are extremely pleased to have been associated with Unity for over 2 years now. They are a small but highly dedicated group of folks who simply want to make a difference in people's lives. They don't have million dollar marketing and ad budgets or hundreds of employees. What they do have, and share, is their love for those adults who need some help with last wishes and finding peace.

When friends of ours needed to repair their first-ever home, I contacted Unity a Journey of Hope because they had done so many other good deeds in the past. Our friend is a US Marine and is diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. In spite of that diagnosis, he has volunteered for many nonprofits, does errands for shut-ins, and cheers others up with his great attitude toward life. Unity worked their magic once more and collaborated with another great group to finish bathroom walls and flooring, things that were necessary before the couple could move in. The fact that Unity has this determination to help others has made them many grateful friends and recipients.

November 30-dec 4 they granted me and my daughter the most amazing gift! I was diagnosed with Multiple myeloma cancer and it was so overwhelming.... The gift in the log cabin in the mountain left us with so many amazing memories. We were able to not think of cancer during these days and just have a good time. We bonded even more during this time,me and my daughter. The log cabin was BEAUTIFUL AND SO PEACEFUL. Unity paid for our activities and even dinner!!!! We went on a off road jeep tour and had THE MOST AMAZING SPA DAY EVER!!!! I WILL NEVER EVER EVER FORGET WHAT UNITY DID FOR US!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! At times I still think of this wonderful vacation they gifted us!! Thank you so much for all that you did and I will never ever EVER FORGET YOU GUYS!! Bobbi and John are AMAZING living kind spirited people and are now like family!!! Thank you so much for the GIFT!!

I have been a volunteer with Unity for a few years in the past, but we drifted away as the rest of life has us so distracted all the time.

Just recently, my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and John (one of the 2 founders) ended up being her hospice nurse !! (Ive always been friends with John and Bobbi and having him as my mom's hospice nurse was more than I could have hoped for).

My mom and I didnt ask for a wish, but John knew her time was short and Christmas was soon (although she wouldnt be making it that far). in our conversations, I asked John about having Thanksgiving and Christmas early for her and he said it was a great idea. But my mother didnt have enough money to buy gifts for any of us and she enjoyed seeing us open our gifts at Christmas so much, that we hated that she would have missed it. Then, without us even asking he asked me for a list of gifts we would like to exchange and next thing we knew, his wife Bobbi and him were telling us that they had gotten the gifts that my mom would be giving us !! He also said that we should be doing it very soon as her time was short.

We had the Christmas right at her hospital bed with our entire family and she was both surprised and overjoyed at the prospect that we had done this for her and that my friend John had done this for her and our family.

The next few days were a joy for her and I saw her smile for the first time in literally years. she passed a few days later, but I think John and Bobbi made the last few days of her life a joy. She died in her bed peacefully and we are so grateful to Unity for their generosity and their pro-active approach to this last wish of my mom's that she didnt think would have even happened.

If you dont pay any attention to charity or if you're maybe a bit jaded by seeing soooo many charities all asking for money, I say this: Unity: a journey of hope is no regular charity. In fact I consider them a god-send to people. They work so hard on this for no pay at all and I personally feel that even if you never donate to any charity, I ask that you consider, even a small gift to these wonderful, caring and compassionate people. The money will not be wasted or go to line some executive's pockets. This money goes to a charity among charities. They are the finest example of what I believe people should be and if you only give 1.00 this year to any charity, give it to Unity - Please.

I have been involved with Unity- a Journey of Hope for a few years now when time permits me to and not only do they help terminally ill people fulfill their last wish, but these are also on the other hand, really GOOD people.

They have spent countless hours and sometimes cash from their own pockets not only fulfilling wishes (Bucket-list type things that are sometimes very involved or expensive), but while all this work is going on, they then have to go out and raise the money to continue the work they are doing, so they are probably the hardest-working group of people I have ever met.

It seems they have been passed-up on the charity gravy-train that the larger charities enjoy because they would rather spend their time doing their work than pandering to the money-bags that hand out the money or "prizes" to charities, They have done countless things to help terminally ill people and the only thanks they get is to have to do more fund-raising to keep it afloat. THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST INJUSTICES I HAVE EVER SEEN AND UNITY IS DESERVING OF NOT ONLY GROWTH BUT ADMIRATION FOR THEIR WORK.

Great organization that does amazing work. There are many large organizations out there that get funding easily, but these people really work hard to grant the wishes they do. These are the little guys with big hearts and they never stop trying to grant wishes, regardless of how hard it is for the underdogs.

I have been a volunteer since November 2014. I am 30 years of age and have been involved in many organizations over those years. I have never been a part of an organization that gives hope like this one. From the founders down to every last volunteer I watch people brainstorm, give time, give whatever they are able to give to show someone who needs it that there is still genuine human love to give to this world. We live in a world that is infatuated with technology, money, and a slew of other bitter qualities, but the existence of Unity helps to build a bridge between genuine human love and emotion to the person who truly needs it in their life.

My mom was granted her wish to put her toes in the sand one last time. Bobbie and John Robinson was able to fulfill her last wishes by taking her to Atlantic City. She took pictures with the surfer guys, they rented an oversize wheelchair for the beach, and gave her forever lasting memories she was able to take to heaven. I cannot say enough and can never thank them enough for what they did for her. John and Bobbie do this out of the kindness of the heart, they are forever my moms angels and mine.

My mom, Carmel, was diagnosed in sept. of 1999 with ovarian cancer. She went in for a cyst removal of her right ovary, the doctors assured her it was NOT cancer. When she woke up she was on the oncology floor of the hospital, she thought however, it was because my cousin who is an Registered Nurse on that floor that they put her on there. I was starting my freshman year of high school and my little brother was 10years old. Well the doctors broke the news to her, she took it well! She began Chemo immediately. However when her hair started falling out in the shower by the clumps, that was the hardest for her. My mom worked hard all her life to provide for my brother and I. She had to quit her job the chemo gave her neuropathy in her feet (could not feel her feet). Many many years pasted, many other problems made her health worse. The cancer had spread to her lymph nodes.. She knew she did not have much longer on this earth. She found this awesome wonderful organization.. Journey of Hope... Her last wishes was to stick her feet in the sand. Bobbie and John made this all possible.. My parents did not have the money to made her wish come true, but because of Bobbie and John my mom got her dream. Sadly on August 22, 2008 my mom lost her battle with cancer.
She was 48 years young.. In conclusion, Journey of Hope is just not an organization, it is a persons last days months of their dreams, wishes, and or hopes... I have never meet Bobbie and John but from the experience my mom had in her final months here, this trip was what she talked and about. I can never thank Bobbie and John for what they have done for my mom, but please know you have touch so many people and their families with what you do.. Thank you Bobbie and John, so was my moms angels here on earth and she can be yours from heaven.. Thank you again, Teri Linn

My Mom, Debi, was diagnoised with Stage 4 Small Cell Carcinoma and was given 1 month to live when she was released from the hospital. She came home and was put into Hospice Care. Her main nurse was John Robinson. A very sweet, caring, witty man with a huge smile and bubbly personality. He knew exactly how to handle my mother. LOL! He was very compassionate with the family and helped us understand the entire process. He also, happened to be one of the founders of a nonprofit organization, Unity A Journey for Hope. He and his wife started the organization to grant individuals facing life ending illnesses a last wish. He asked my Mom if he could grant her a wish. She was so honored to be given such a gift. I have no words to describe how elated I was to hear that the impossible was going to be possible. He truly wanted to see my mom happy. To see her enjoy the last weeks of her life. He arranged for everything that my sister and I needed to take my mom to New Jersey for a week. My mom got to enjoy playing with my kids and my husband made all of her favorite meals. After a couple days, Leslie, Mom and I set off for a girls trip to Atlantic City. We stayed in an amazing condo that overlooked the water. Mom loved that she could see a lighthouse out of her bedroom window. We rode the tram up and down the Boardwalk just looking at the sites, collected sand and ocean water in bottles so she could take home. We did a lot of people watching and even had drinks on the beach. It was an amazing time. Unfortunately, we had to cut the trip short by 2 days because Mom wasn’t feeling so great and I wanted to get in back home to be in the care of her Hospice nurses. My Mom passed less than a week later, on August 9th. Exactly one month from her leaving the hospital, as the doctor predicted.
Because of John and his organization, my family was able to create the best last memories with my Mom. I am forever grateful. I know God put John into my mom and I's life..... I will be eternally grateful.

This organization granted my mother a wish to meet Bruce Springsteen back in 2012. We still talk about that moment years later. What this organization was able to do for not only my mother but my family is something I can't thank them enough for. If you are looking for an organization to support,I can assure you there is no other organization more deserving. These people are angels on earth. What they do every day for people they have never met is incredible. I hope this organization is able to grant wishes and changes lives for years to come. They will always have my families support.

After my Mom passed away about 5 years ago I saw a post Facebook. The post was about a wish this group was trying to grant for a man that was dying from cancer. I contacted Bobbi and told her i would like to donate money for the wish. She asked me to come help with the wish so i could see what they are all about, and why they do what they do. Not only did Unity change that man's life, but that day it changed mine. I've learned to appreciate and enjoy the time that we are given on this earth, and to appreciate those we love. Bobbi and John have become like family to me and treat their volintegers as part of their family. I am proud to be a part of this organization and the work they do. The smiles on the faces of the wish recipients is priceless. Unity helps them forget about tgeir disease, if only for a day. They truly do change lives one wish at a time.

This wonderful organization not only granted us a wish, they gave us back a semblance of normal. Gave us a week of laughter, love and family time and made us forget all things cancer for a time. They also personally called me and built me up when I needed it most. I will never forget you or what you did for my family, especially the smiles you put on my girls faces that cancer had erased for so long. If you are looking to make a difference donate to Unity. Every penny will go right where you intend it ,not in the organizations pocket. I can never thank you enough !

How do you put into words the gratefulness you feel when God places selfless, wonderful people in your life?
John and Bobbi Robinson are exactly that.
I have been battling cancer for three years now. My children were aged 7 and 11 when I got diagnosed and have seen things and worried about things a child should never have to.
My condition was so bad that I couldn't even have physical closeness with them for over a year.
John heard about my story and contacted me. He and his wife worked tirelessly until they were able to send my family away from all things cancer for awhile.
It rejuvenated us and reminded us what life feels like besides cancer.
They have been great friends and have talked me through some rough things.
I will be forever grateful for the smiles and laughter placed on my families faces, I haven't seen that carefree look in a long time!
If you are able to donate to this organization can personally attest that they will make s difference in someone's life.
They certainly have in mine !

She was the happiest ive seen her for a long time. It meant so much not only to her but to her whole family. Rascal Flatts pointed to my mom.. said her name and sang to her " my wish " . God made sure I was supposed to meet these wonderful people .They say people come into your life for a reason and now I know the magic of his power. I am just passing my third year battle with small cell lung cancer with mets to the brain, It has been a long rough road but I still continue to fight.
Unity a Journey of hope granted me the best wish I could have ever received. 1 week in Selbyville , Delaware . (It is right on the border of OC Maryland) My husband and I never did get a real honeymoon so this of course was the ultimate wish for me !!!! We stayed at a wonderful beach house at Mallard lakes.
The trip was great!! Lots of beach time !! The ocean is my favorite place . Lots of fishing, lots and lots of wonderful sites to see. and LOTS OF FOOD! I was amazed at how much country was there, I soaked in all I could in 1 week. It was so great to be able to feel the sand between my toes and hold my husbands hand and have his heart. I appreciated all the things you had given us. I prayed several times thanking the Good Lord for the kindness of John and Bobbi for giving me this wish and the wonderful time. I wish somehow I could have just froze time .
Thank you to Unity a journey of Hope and to all who volunteer their time to this exceptional organization. I will never forget the most wonderful week of my life and will forever be grateful for all you did for myself and my husband God bless all of you!! Edie And Jeff Rice

In 2014 we found out my husband who was only 34 at the time has congestive heart failure that his heart was only working 10%. We were devastated! He coded twice and was on life support we didn't know if he would come back to us or not and by the blessing of God he did. He than got the LVAD (left ventricular assist device) that helps pump the blood flow to his heart and was put on the heart transplant list. We just took it day by day and never knew what would come our way. He has always wanted to take me and our children to the beach since he has never been there and our children who are 4 and 6 also never been there. But when he got sick he is not able to work again at least not until he gets his new heart and then there after we really don't know if he will be able to, its just a hope and a pray, so we thought our chances to take a family vacation to the beach was gone. Until one day Unity a Journey of Hope came into our lives and changed it so much. They made that dream come true for us. They blessed us with a weeks vacation to Ocean City Maryland to have that vacation and that dream that we thought we would never be able to have. We are so thankful to Bobbi and John and every single person that helped make it a dream come true for us. The memories we made, the time we got to spend together and show our babies the beach and the ocean and do all the fun exciting things we were able to do was priceless. I can not thank them enough for what they have done for my family its something we thought we would not be able to do being my husband is sick but now we did and we have those memories forever that will last a lifetime!! My husband is also a big fan of Chuck Norris and when we met Bobbi and John they surprised my husband with an picture of Chuck Norris and he had wrote a note on there to my husband. When Will opened that and seen it he was so shocked and happy and never thought he would get something like that from one of his idols. My husband doesn't cry or tear up much but that day he did and to see that made me so emotional and happy for him.. Because of Unity A Journey of Hope this amazing blessing happened to my family and if it was not for them we may never got to experience and see everything we did and have the memories we now have! They touched our hearts and we are forever grateful for them!!! From The Robison's

I would like to thank John and Bobbi for the compassion you have to go out of your way.To grant wishes to people. How awesome is that. My Husband Andy Kubiak had Gliobastoma brain cancer. And his wish was to see Jerome Bettis. And to be on his Show. You two made that wish come true. When we got the call that we were going to go watch the show Andy was very excited. When we arrived at the station John was there waiting for us. It was time to meet Jerome. the look on Andy's face was priceless. Andy got to spend sometime with Jerome he let him try the superbowl ring on . What a nice guy. After the show started Jerome spoke of Andy like a friend throughout the tapping. Then we got to go to Jerome's grill and we ate in his private room. The food was amazing. For one night through this terrible battle with cancer.we got to enjoy ourselves without thinking about it for one night. Cannot Thank you enough for everything. God bless.

This was a review sent to me John Robinson from a medical Social worker about a patient she has and UNITY granted a wish for....

I am a pediatric oncology social worker. One of my "kids" had recently relapsed at the age of 19. Most wish foundations allow wishes up to the age of 18. My young adult was understandably upset by the news, She is a sophomore in college and was unable to return to school. She had committed to 18 months of missionary work and, due to the relapse, was unable to meet her commitment. Her world, along with the family's world, had crashed around them. This news put me on a mission to find an organization who could grant her the wish of an iPad mini. She said it would allow her to keep in touch with her friends at school, read books on line and communicate with her family, during times when she could not leave her home.

When I read about "Unity A Journey of Hope", I immediately sent in a referral. John Robinson contacted me through email, requesting more information. John was very clear with stating the foundation could not guarantee to grant the wish but he would do his best. Several weeks later I received the email stating the wish had been granted. I am not sure who was more excited, John or me. I promised not to tell the family so it would be a surprise.

The next time I saw my family, the recipient was just smiling from ear to ear; something I had not seen since she began treatment. Mom was just as excited.

I would like to thank your wonderful foundation for being so generous, not only to my family, but to all the families you touch. I wish there were words to describe how much our families appreciate the gifts but, the wonderful by-product of it all, is the parents finally seeing their child smile again. It is just priceless.

Wishing all the best to everyone involved with "Unity A Journey of Hope".

Have a great day!

With Unity we may not be able too fill those shoes but, when a wish recipient says to me, " I forgot I had cancer today" or " I did not think I would see my husband ever smile again" or after Unity granted a wish to a 94 year old lady she said to me, " I have been on hospice waiting to die, but because of the wish I can't wait to live!" This has been a difficult time for me and Unity A Journey of Hope was so kind to grant my wish of receiving an iPad mini. I wanted one so that I could watch movies, read eBooks, and play games on it while I was at clinic getting treatments and for at home to distract me when I'm not feeling well. I belong to a not for profit motorcycle rights organization, ABATE, and I've been fortunate enough to work with Unity on several fundraisers as well as helping grant a wish. I'm always amazed at what they can accomplish on such a grand scale while operating on such a minimal budget. I've nothing but positive and glowing comments to say about the organization and it's volunteers. In this era of such negativity and selfishness, Unity stands as a reminder that there is still good being done in this world.

There are not enough stars for this organization. My father was diagnosed with cancer in sept 2009. In Nov. I was in the car in the mid. of the nite and I heard about this wish granting thing on the radio. I wrote the number down and passed it on to my mom not really thinking anything would come of it. Boy, was I wrong.

Mom called the number and talked to John Robinson. And things kind of snowballed from there. I believe it was within a month that Dad and mom were outside the Statue of Liberty. Daddy was a Navy Vet of 22 years and I never knew that he always wanted to see the Statue of Liberty. He had seen it from a distance but was never actually there and the look on his face when he saw it was priceless. John ended up being my dad’s Hospice nurse at the time also.

John and Bobbie both cared for my mom and dad with a lot of empathy, Humor and love.

In 2013 my mom was diagnosed with cancer and passed away in 2014. . John was her nurse also. I learned a lot about how hospice worked and the processes when someone passes. There is too many words for this organization.

He was always real honest, even when it was hard to do so. Had my family and I not had the great fortune of being blessed by this organization, I don’t know that I would have been able to handle their passings as easily as I have. I know they really Helped my parent’s and many other families. They are really a blessing. Thank you Unity!

I just have to say that John and Bobbi Robinson are the best, the most caring people that care for others and that loves to do for others. I have had the honor of working with them some, I have seen the ins and out of this organization and I have to say that they are the best, they are truly legit and I am honored to be a part of Unity a Journey of Hope.

I met Bobbi and John where I worked, and we got to talking about what they do and about a wish that they were working on and they said that they are always looking for volunteers, so I thought right then and there that this is something that I would love to do. So I now volunteer with Unity, and I couldn't feel any prouder of what Unity does and the feeling that you get from knowing that you had a part in helping with a wish, no matter how small your help is in granting a wish, John and Bobbi appreciate it. You couldn't ask for nicer people or a better organization to volunteer for. They are a legit organization who has made a lot of people very happy before meeting their fate in life. They go out of their way to make these wishes happen, this is their life and they are very happy with it.

Had the honor of participating (as a business vendor) at a charity bike run with these wonderful people. This charity strikes a chord with me, as I am a nurse often dealing with the terminally ill. Looking forward to participating with them in the future!

Unity is a wonderful Charity. My mom was diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer in July of 2012. She has always been a HUGE fan of the Steelers and in particular Hines Ward. She reached out to Unity when Hines was about to receive his Lifetime Achievement Award at the Dapper Dan Awards Ceremony in February of 2013. Unity provided her with this extravagant experience. According to her doctors, she shouldn't have been with us to even attend the event and we did lose her a few months later. But for this one night, She was carefree and didn't have to worry about her battle with cancer. She got to get all dressed up and have her moment on the red carpet. It was truly an awesome night for the both of us and one that I will never forget- to see her smile the way she did that night was priceless and Unity did that for her! Thank you again- Tera Abriatis- daughter of Tracey Cochran

This organization, Unity, A Journey of Hope, really is fantastic. My mom, who is an unbelievable Steelers fan, wanted nothing more than to see Hines Ward receive his Dapper Dan Lifetime Achievement award. The cost of tickets was too much as she was in the middle of her battle with cancer. Here came Unity, they not only got her tickets but allowed for my brother and me to share this with her. It was an unforgettable experience for her and us as a family. We lost her in that same year but we will always have that night thanks to Unity!

Unity continues to be my favorite charity. They do so many great things for people who need it the most. They helped my brother-in-law when he was battling lymphoma and they helped my neighbor when she was fighting breast and ovarian cancer. Unity is run by two of the most caring people you could meet. Please consider donating to Unity.

Unity was the only charity that tried to help my dad by granting his last wish. We looked everywhere to find someone to help move my dad from MDA hospital in Houston back home to Spokane, Wa and even though it was outside the area Unity usually tries to help and waaaay outside the scope of charity they perform (the cost of an air ambulance was over $25,000.) they still tried to make it happen and find ways to get my dad home to say goodbye to his mom and the rest of his family this May. Unfortunately, dad's health declined quickly and I had to tell them it was too late but I'm sure we would have gotten dad home had his health held up. I'm so grateful to Unity because they gave us hope in a hopeless situation and helped remind me of the wonderful people that are in this world.

Unity, A Journey of Hope is a great organization who really gives back to the community in more ways than anyone could ever imagine. They have granted so many amazing wishes and made so many people unbelievably happy. It's an awesome thing to be a part of. They granted a wish for my cousin and gave him a huge wedding and reception. It was absolutely beautiful. Unity really does go above and beyond to fulfill their wishes and more.

This is a great organization. .I have seen many beautiful moments shared and wishes granted. I know how important a person's dying wish can be..when my husband was sick he wanted to go on a train trip and I made it happen but most people in that situation can not make it happen and that is where the beautiful people of unity ome in..I had the opportunity to donate once and it was the best experience. .unity is the best and has the best people that love what they do and how the client feels when the wish is granted is priceless to them but they need people like us to help along the way.

Unity a Journey of Hope is just wonderful. I had two great wishes, one with Nemacolin Resort for a great dinner and with Beauty Connections Spa for a spa day. Unity a Journey of Hope does so much to help me and so many others that are sick and make our wishes come true. Thank you Bobbi and John and all the others that donate their time to help us.

This nonprofit is ran by two of the most dedicated and sincere people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I am the Director at Ohiopyle Vacation Rentals, and we work with them to give guests getaways in our rentals located in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. I have seen more amazing stories and wishes come true than one could ever believe thanks to the hard work of John & Bobbi. I am blessed to be a small part of this organization and making a difference in others lives. May God bless you all.

Thank you so much Unity A Journey of Hope. You had made David Yerkey's day a dream of relaxation and to forget about the cancer for a little time while he was away. We appreciate all you have done for this to come true. He did not want to come back and deal with his illness, he would have rather stay there.
Everyone was so sweet, compassionate to us. The OVR was so sweet way to go Jordan. Our dinner at Stone House was wonderful and delicious. If you go up that way I recommend you eat there. Site seeing of the Ohio Pyle even though they are under construction, we had a blast. Also, a BIG THANK YOU AND ALL YOUR HARD WORK JOHN AND BOBBI ROBINSON. We just can't get over what a great time we had of peace and quiet and time together and with our two dogs.

I can not say enough great things about Unity. The endless hours the people behind the scenes, John & Bobbi put in to make someone's wish come true. Bobbi reaches the un-reachable and does NOT stop when phones are hung up and doors are shut. She keeps going, it matters to her to make a difference. John keeps brings compassion and they truly are doing this out of love for people they may not know prior to a wish coming in. SO thankful for this group.

Thanks to Unity A Journey of Hope; my guy Tom got to make a very important memory with his son Phillip last night. I reached out to Unity a while back and explained that Tom who is fighting pancreatic cancer wanted very much to take his 21 year old son to see a Brooklyn Nets Basketball Game for his birthday and his own; both are days apart. Well, let me tell you. The Robinsons Organization made it happen...and then some. Tommy said that thanks to there kindness he feels a great sense of peace and will never forget the memory of this night with his boy. John and Bobbi Robinson are incredible people. They are humble and diligent and they actually share the joy in all the wishes they grant. I am going to pay it forward and make myself available to Unity in any way that I can.

I got the honor of meeting Bobbi at a BMB concert. She was there granting a wish for someone to meet Bret Michaels. It was amazing & heartfelt to see the smile on woman's face when she got to the front row next to me. Bobbi & I got to talk for a few minutes after the show & she told me what they do. It's nice to know that UNITY is going above & beyond to help make peoples lives a little more happier!

I called Unity looking for someone to grant a wish in California for a 23 year old young man with Testicular cancer. Bobbi answered the phone in the middle of the night, bright and cheerful, answered my question and was game for trying to help. She and John followed up on the necessary paperwork, and Greg and his girlfriend Michaela enjoyed a nice evening together with excellent tickets to a Michael Buble concert complete with soundcheck passes. It was a nice evening before his last surgery the following week.

These people fill a very important void, not only in a world of charitable organizations, but in lives.
I've worked with them in the past and have seen first hand how lives are touched in ways sometimes seeming miraculous.
I thank God for the opportunity to know them and to know Unity.

I've seen Unity giving of themselves and their own money to help those in need.
I'm very blessed to know the founders and to have worked on projects with them. So many people would have missed on a last wish or a last opportunity without their intervention.
Long may they wave to help others with nowhere to turn and no hope for that one more chance in their lives.

My 33 yr. old daughter, Deborah, had a wish that the family go to the ocean as a group. She did not get to see this as she went home to be with the Lord on June 24, 2013. Hearing that another daughter, Penny, also had cancer, Unity stepped up and fulfilled Deborah's wish though her. Eighteen of us got to go to Bethany Beach in Delaware, write Deborah's name in the sand with a heart and fulfill her wish. They provided us with lodging, gas, and some food. All because they care. It did not profit them, it profited us!
Thank you Unity!! We will forever be grateful!

What can I say about John & Bobbi Robinson? I have never met such loving, caring people, who go out of their way to grant these wishes. Bobbi works very hard behind the scenes to set things up, set dates & times, gathering info to help make these wishes happen--And John--well, he is the most compassionate person, and the way he speaks & handles his own patients & his wish recipents is so heartwarming. Just watch the videos, You can see his love & compassion shine through. They truly love what they do and it shows. I am proud to call them my friends

Unity is always making people cry!

Photos and videos of persons who have been helped, always show men, women, and little kids weeping happy tears in gratitude that others have shown their love and concern when days look hopeless and dark.

Just knowing that there are people so kind hearted in our area is wonderful. Even the smallest request for a wish requires so much planning and work. Unity often has to beg for help to get grant wishes for persons with life-challenging illnesses, but they are not ashamed to beg and do not quit when they get no response.

In short, they are there, and with their group of loyal volunteers, they have caused happiness in the lives of many others.

They are a blessing!

With just one post and request from Unity, we learned what they needed to help another person. With a few more posts, we were able to connect Unity with a helper in a distant city, and it was a great feeling to be part of the machinery that operates solely to help others. But the biggest part of the engine is the ignition, and Bobbi and John provide that by being there for others. Never doubt the power of one (or two) person to connect with others and make a change in someone's life.
