The most amazing rescue out there. The volunteers truly care. The two little doggy girls that we adopted from them have made such a positive impact on our (human) lives. Every day I look at these little fur-kids and feel blessed to have them in our lives. The rescue saves lives and does not give up on dogs just because the dog is a difficult case. I cannot say enough good things about this rescue.

Tyler is the latest addition to our family and arrived in Hamilton, Ontario via the Canadian chapter of Texas Chihuahua Rescue. The volunteers on both sides of the border are amazing. Every story is heartbreaking but these organizations make happy endings possible on a daily basis. Tyler needed knee surgery while in foster care in Canada and the US based group covered the cost. Thanks to the intervention of Texas Chihuahua Rescue, hundreds of these loveable dogs are rescued, receive the necessary medical treatment, fostered and eventually re-homed. We are foster fails and Tyler was a gift to my husband for our 40th wedding anniversary. The traditional gift is ruby but I think it should be replaced by chihuahua.
Love is a four-legged word. Kindness counts.

I recently started fostering for this wonderful organization around October. So far I have been a foster fail bc I fall in love so easy with these precious babies. I have adopted one and so has my mom. I can't say enough wonderful things about Tamie considering these babies are her world. She works tirelessly and will not turn away a chi in need. I mostly admire her for taking on the challenge of the chis who need a little extra TLC. Thank you for serving as an advocate for these little ones and being their voice when no one else will listen.

This is a rescue group with small dogs and large hearts.

My connection with the group is a new one. I am so impressed. Our next dog will come from within their loved and cared for "babies".

To meet the group is to love them and have faith in all their generous efforts.

I have adopted and foster through Texas Chihuahua Rescue . This truly is a RESCUE. TXCR takes in special needs dogs, senior dogs , and nursing mothers. This group rescues the most euthanized breed of dog in south Texas. The works of this rescue are tireless, humbling , and encouraging . The dogs get the absolute best veterinarian care and are so loved with this group. They go above and beyond for these pups. Texas Chihuahua Rescue has changed my life and I am forever grateful.

I originally contacted TX Chi Rescue to adopt one of the dogs they had listed online. I drove to the dogs fosters home to meet her. Unfortunately, it was not a match. After listening to me tell her what I was looking for, the foster brought out another one of her dogs, and it was love at first sight. I adopted him shortly thereafter.

I was so impressed with t the professionalism, organization and care of the dogs that I began fostering for TX Chi Rescue. They have been a dream to work with. I would highly recommend this group to anyone considering fostering or adopting a little chi.

I first met the people of Texas Chihuahua Rescue in June 2015 and have had the honor of being a volunteer with this amazing group ever since. I'm continually impressed and humbled by the tenacity and dedication I witness every single day in spite of the uphill battle inherent to the world of rescue. I'm hooked for life.

After adopting 2 wonderful dogs from this organization, I became a volunteer Foster a year ago. The leaders and volunteers of TXCR are incredibly hard-working and devoted to the rescue and care of all Chihuahuas. They vet all dogs to ensure they are healthy, and they evaluate potential adopters to make sure they can provide a good home for the dog. This is an awesome network of Chihuahua-lovers, and I highly recommend becoming involved as a volunteer or making monetary donations.

I've been a volunteer foster for Texas Chihuahua Rescue for just over a year. The rescue is comprised of a diversified group of compassionate individuals with the same goal of saving the lives of chihuahuas and chihuahua mixes in Texas. All of the people I have met with this rescue are dedicated to saving the lives of these tiny dogs and working towards a brighter future for them. The rescue is organized and great effort is put into matching dogs and people for a forever fit. Highly recommend adopting or volunteering for this rescue!

I have only volunteered for TCR for a month now and I can already see the heart and dedication this shelter has. Chihuahuas have a special place in my heart and sadly they are one of the most over populated and euthanized dogs in the the US. TCR does all they can to rescue Chihuahuas from all over Texas. They vet the dogs and find them a forever home. They are also very organized and quickly to resound. I love TCR.

I have been a foster volunteer for almost two years, and I am proud to say I have never worked with any group with more heart, dedication, perseverance, and an amazing ability to perform true miracles with these little lives, The leaders of this amazing band of animal lovers, are always on call to address any emergency, ready to take any owner surrender, with no recriminations, pull any chihuahua, or chi mix from any shelter, or any broken baby that others have given up on....these people have a true heart for saving these tiny lives....if you are not in a position to foster or volunteer, please consider donating to help this worthy cause....because love alone is not enough.....

An amazing group of people doing amazing work in San Antonio. They have quietly rid the city of San Antonio of an unwanted over abundance of homeless, injured and dying chihuahua mixes. They are diligent, caring and hard working. They vet, treat and place chihuahuas into loving homes through a network of volunteers, vets, fosters and with pure love and determination. One of the best charities I have ever had the privilege to support.

Texas Chihuahua is an amazing group of caring and compassionate people. This is the best rescue I have ever volunteered for. They do a great job of matching Chihuahuas with fosters that can meet their needs. They are super quick at networking and finding adopters that meet their high expectations. They are with you every step of the way to answer questions and guide you. They make you feel appreciated. I am proud to be part of this rescue family!!!!
