Texas Chihuahua Rescue is an amazing organization with a heart of gold! I found my heart in May of 2018 with them and it was the best experience ever. I live over 300 miles away, we spoke via text, emails, FB messages. I was sent all kinds of pictures and videos of my little Pilot. They are very good at matching the right person to the pup and take great care in these matches and upkeep of the babies. They even check in with you to make sure everything is working out and if you have any questions, they will not hesitate to help you.
I loved this rescue so much, I helped my Mom find her baby with them and she had the same experience I had with them. I continue to keep up with Pilot’s foster Mom and the rescue, I wish I could adopt them all but I can’t so Pilot and I help get the word out about them and Pilot of course donates to the family that saved his life and brought him to me.
We love everyone here and so will you!

I had been looking for a chihuahua for quite some time now and I found this rescue on Facebook. Texas Chihuahua Rescue has so many sweet pups coming in each day, it was very hard to pick just one. I had been looking for an older pup to give them a loving home for the rest of their days. I had found one, but someone got to her before I could, then another and the same thing happened.
Then one day I was just looking and they posted about my little man Pilot and it was love at first site! We are an aviation family with 3 other pups, Piper, 10 yr old chihuahua, Cessna, a 1 year old black lab, and our newest addition thanks to my sister in law, Amelia Airbark, she is a 3 month old chug. Now imagine my surprise when I saw this adorable little man named Pilot! It was meant to be, I posted many times on his picture about how perfect he would fit in with my pack and immediately emailed Tammi about adopting him. Next thing we know, we received an email stating Pilot was available and we could come get him!
I was beyond happy! We loaded up our pack and drove down to San Antonio to meet Kelley and pick up my little man. He fit in perfectly with our pack.
Everyone at TCRI are very professional, they are so loving with their rescues, they do everything they can to get these poor babies off the streets and out of these shelter to get them adopted to loving families. They work so hard and depend on us for donations to be able to help as many babies as they can and the work they do is absolutely fantastic.

Thank you Texas Chihuahua Rescue, Inc for all you do for these animals. You are all an amazing family, and let’s not forget all the families that take these pups into their homes and foster them until they go to their furever homes. God Bless you all!

Everyone at this organization are angels!! Thank you for rescuing all these gorgeous precious puppies! We just adore our little 12month old Jasmine!! Jasmine is completely potty trained, not one accident. She can already understand a few commands. Jasmine was already spayed and has had all her vaccines. She’s getting used to Winter here in Toronto Canada now. I definitely recommend Texas Chihauha Rescue if you’re thinking about getting a furbaby.
Thank you for all you do, you are all amazing!! ☺️❤️
Sincerely,
Vicky

I adopted a 3 month old Puppy named Biscuit from the Texas Chihuahua Rescue. The process was stress free and the kind and caring volunteers are amazing and supportive. The adoption includes your pet being neutered/spay, all vaccines and immunizations, as well as micro-chipped. They provide all the vet paperwork/records and any other paper work you need if you are crossing the border. When I adopted Biscuit, he came in a cute knitted sweater, collar and ID tag. I had so much support after the adoption also with people checking up on us and his previous foster home providing me with information on what he had been eating, how is bathroom training was going, his favourite toys and other info that was nice to know. These dogs are very well treated in this agency and I would reccomend adopting from them if you are looking to expand your family.

Hello friends!

I adopted Thatcher who my daughter has now named Taco. He is such a sweetheart and gives so much love to us and everyone he meets. He follows me everywhere I go, I always hear his little feet ticking behind me, he loves to curl up under my comforter with me every night He is not liking this Canadian cold weather already so I have him trained to do his business on a fake patch of grass downstairs with puppy pads around it. He goes outside as well , I am just preparing for the -20 degree weather that is coming.
Taco loves playing with his little toys and cuddling up on his blanket. He really likes to chase my black cat Deva around as well, up and down the stairs and she needs the exercise as well. She follows us when I take Taco out for his walks. They take naps at the same time on the couch, him on the cushion and her on the top. It's so adorable.
This has been a wonderful experience. I want to thank all the people at TCR, especially Tara White. Taco had Kennel Cough when he arrived and Tara came to the rescue, like I mean she came to my house. She gave me advice , let me know this is a common thing and not to worry. I was so impressed.
Well this Chihuahua Mama is off to have a wonderful life with an amazing new pet.

Thank you so much for allowing this to happen.

Found our new Chihuahua mix puppy at Texas Chihuahua Rescue and can't say enough about this rescue. The experience was great from start to the day we picked up our new little girl in Buffalo, New York a week ago.
Our new girl Lexi aka CoCo is a wonderful affectionate little cuddler, we couldn't have found a better dog.
Thank you to all the rescue volunteers and of course Lexi's foster home for all the good you do. Tom

After losing my comfort dog Doug in June, a good friend of mine recommended Texas Chihuahua Rescue. I was approved and wanted to adopt a scruffy little pup called Houston. He was adopted to someone else the day I was approved. Tara White of TCRCanada was so helpful and recommended North. Long story short she is now Ruby and she was meant to be mine! She is the sweetest little girl but quite a scrapper with her husky siblings! We love her and couldn’t recommend Texas Chihuahua Rescue enough.

We fell in love with Jack (formerly Marley). We should've named him Jackrabbit, he jumps from and into the couch, chairs and beds. The staff is warm, loving and anxiously waiting for loving furfamilies. Thank you so much!

The diligence and care taken by the staff to get your pet to you are beyond the normal.

From my many emails, phone calls and worries I now have Bruce Wayne beside me as I write this. He has had a tumultuous little life for his 8 months and is settling in well, thanks to TCR.

Thanks particularly to Tracy McAllister for her endless patience.

Top notch organization, thank you all. Bruce has gone from an XS to a S size, LOL.

We recently welcomed Jefe (formerly Lorre) into our family. Such a sweet loving boy. Full of energy and obedient at the same time. Loves everyone he meets. We are all in love and he is now the "man" of the house.

Can't say enough great things about this organization. Was a smooth organized process from beginning to end. Everyone was so kind and our coordinator Shirley was so patient with all of my general dog inquires. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I met Harlee (originally Archer) at an event at PetSmart on 281 north of 1604. I wanted to take him home but needed to think about this since we already have 3 dogs. Of course emotion outweighed logic and 4 days later I put in an application to adopt him. Just a few hours later I got a call from Tamie and picked him up 2 days later. We really love him. It was such a fast, smooth process and 2 other volunteers have checked in on us since we picked him up less than 2 weeks ago. I would recommend anyone to adopt from TCR! Thanks for saving these sweet animals. Dawn K-W

TCR is a great organization to adopt from. They’re very organized and detailed about every step of the adoption process which made it easy as a first time adopter/dog owner. I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in dog adoption.

Thanks again for all you do!

I can't thank the Texas Chihuahua Rescue enough for all the time, effort, driving, compassion and love they give to the animals they take in. I am extremely grateful to them .... all of them... the volunteers, staff, transport ladies, fosters and everyone else who is working tirelessly to help get these small wonders into the great home's that they so well deserve. the TXCR screens all applicants to ensure they go home to wonderful family's who will love them. without the TXRC I would never have adopted my sweet Rio.
so gratefully yours

Riot (who will remain Riot as the name seems well suited to her) seems to be enjoying her new home in Hamilton. She has been exploring non-stop between naps and trying very hard to get her new dachshund friend to play with her. Tomorrow she starts puppy training. Thank you so much for brining Riot into our lives.
