I was encouraged to try volunteering at REINS just to see if I would like it. That was 10 years ago and it remains my favorite time of each week.

REINS is an amazing program. It includes so much more than just therapy with horses. Through the years, REINS continues to grow and improve, yet it still maintains a special family atmosphere. The instructors and volunteers are very friendly, happy, encouraging and supportive, all the while helping to achieve student goals. From my experience as a volunteer, I've been able to witness and be a part of many student achievements. Being able to see their smiles and joy, shows how rewarding REINS is all around. Whether a student or volunteer, you'll find REINS to be such a great experience, and that once you join, there will be a special bond that continues to hold REINS together.

As a former student for 11 years and a current volunteer for the past year and a half, I've spent a lot of time at REINS. What's kept me coming back is the awesome mission this place provides to the community of Fallbrook, as well as many other parts of San Diego County. All the instructors are totally amazing, and the volunteers that I've worked with are all dedicated to improving this program on a daily basis.
The horses are all very well trained, and suit a varied level of rider experience, from beginner to advanced.
If you have a child that you think would benefit from therapeutic horse back riding, definitely consider REINS!

REINS is an amazing organization that is truly making a difference in so many lives. My daughter Isabella has Down syndrome and has many disadvantages and medical needs. She is almost 5 years old, and she has been in REINS' therapeutic horse ridding program since she was 18 months old. She attends weekly sessions and it is the highlight of her week. She has improved her socialization, confidence, gross motor skills, and core strength. REINS has also tremendously helped her communication, some of her fist ASL signs and verbal words were horse, eat, go, open gate, and more. We are so grateful to have help from their program.

Reins is a wonderful program where all the kids and voulnteers love everything about it. I volunteer there every Wednesday and Friday afternoon and I absolutely love it. The instructors are the sweetest and nicest people as are the other voulnteers. Everyone there is like family to me and are accepting of everyone. They have great animals that are patient with the riders and learning voulnteers and are exceptionally well behaved. They are active in the community of Fallbrook and participate in community activities such as Christmas Parades. This is the best program in the whole world I believe that helps special needs people and treats everyone as equal.
