I am exposed to this group through Facebook ad at rallies where I see people wearing the patch. This is a noble and critical cause. Having once been under the addiction to alcohol (freed for 5 years praise God) I have seen firsthand the damage drinking and driving/riding can do. Keep up the great work !!
I think this is a great organization does great things and I really would like to spread the word an hopefully get more people aware. Keep up the great work.
With the level of drunk drivers still on our roads it is great to see someone actually supporting a move to bring it to an end. More motorcycle riders should get behind it. Keep up the good fight.
I've been following this organization for while now I really like what these guys do.
we need more clubs like this spreading the word on driving under the influence of anything.
I myself have a relative that suffered from a cycle wreck about 25 yrs ago thankfully he lived but with
life changing affects.
Just read about this awesome group and the positive difference they are making. Glad to find and have an opportunity to support and become a small part of such a worthy cause.
B.A.D.D. has a clear message and a very clear purpose. They serve a vital role in raising awareness for what appears to be a never ending epidemic. They touch lives, they make a difference.
Fantastic organization that helps motorcyclists and their families who have been affected by drunk drivers!
My first contact with BADD is in 2009 in Miami!! i will be contacting my local chapter soon.
I will be volunteer
Great group...heard they took care of everything for one family that was a victom of drunk driving...anyone that can do that, has my full support
I know someone who lost their spouse from a drunk driver and there is no excuse for it!! Drunk driving needs to be stopped. As a motorcycle driver myself we have to be even more careful out there. This is a great organization that I fully support! thank you!
Anyone or any organization that helps to bring attention against drunk drivers is top of the line in my book. I have helped scrape a brother or two off the road after these morons get behind the wheel.
I support this organization and others like it not only the fact that I'm a rider myself but all should know that drinking and driven ANY MOTOR VEHICLE is ridiculous..
I have been following B. A. D. D. on Facebook and seeing the wonderful things they do warms my heart! I feel if I were in need and reached out to them, they would be there!
Great group full of information. They help in your community by making it known that drinking and driving can kill innocent people. This group isa treasure.
I am the daughter of 2 bikers. Have lived loved and lost in this life. Myself as well as my family love and appreciate all the men and women who ride for this cause. Lets make sure everyone gets home safely. No parent, husband, wife, son or daughter should ever have to burry a loved one due to drunk driving. We love you all. God speed!
-Coryell and Reginald Mckie
We are new but so far we know B.A.D.D. is a wonderful organization and we have lost friends to drunk drivers...My wife & I both ride and reading the inspirational stories and knowing that there are people out there like B.A.D.D. to help is great to know...When ever there is a post and i see it I re-post to spread the word about B.A.D.D....The more that know of this organization leads to more that can help also...Thank you for what you do !!!
Anything that brings more awareness to anti drink driving is an excellent thing!
As a professional driver and a biker i've seen firsthand what can happen....
Drink driving needs stamping out and if B.A.D.D. Can juast get it throug to a handfull of people then thats a big start
As a former Police officer and rider, I support organizations who address the issue of Drunk driving. I currently oversee a Wellness Court DWI grant. I work with individuals who have had 2 or more DWI's. Information and organizations like MADD have information I can use to help my clients address their problem.

This is a great organization. I have many friends that ride and participate in a lot of biker function. We always look out for each other.
Just a great organization for a great and worthy cause!! too many families and friends lose their lives as victims of Drunk Drivers. Just dont do it! its not worth your life or someone elses!!
Thanks for getting the awareness we are loosing to many family and friends on the roads due to Drunks on the highways.

I love this organization for what they stand for. I despise people that drink & drive. I don't understand y people can't just use taxis or just have a designated driver. I think that bikers get a bad rap & they do the most to protect the most precious living creatures. Much love & respect to u all
So proud of the work you do for all our brothers and sisters who have been injured by drunk drivers. Being out on the road it is comforting to know that you are there standing up for whats right! THANK you!!!!!!!
B.A.D.D. is truly a remarkable organization. Keeping everyone informed and helping make a life-changing decision to not get behind the wheel (or handlebars) after having a few. I wish more people would wake up and do the right thing like these people did!!!
Thank you to a wonderful organization that really shows the extreme risks and dangers of drunk driving. As an avid biker I'm in total support for this organization. Keep up the excellent work!!
Hello my names Robb Brill and Im here to say thank you to an amazing organization like this. I hope everyone hears these story's and changes there lives.
I recently watched my aunt and her husband be buried after being killed by a drunk while they were riding there Harley home from spending time with there friends.
Weather your on a bike or in a car DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. there's always another way so please save your own life and someone else's on the road.
Thanks for your time. Ride Safe

Such an awesome group of people.
It's great to see people standing up and supporting
The victims of such a senseless crime.
Thanks to all at BADD for all you do.
the only store i have is that the one i saw on facebook. Once i read it it made me fill good that there are good people left in this world.A i have nothing but RESPECT 4 wat yall do and i respect all my brothers and sistrs out there
I am glad there is an organization finally that those of us who have been working to make a difference in a childs life, help protect them, guide them, give them security, so that they may become prosperous adults. Children are our future and they will be the ones making and enforcing laws for us when we get old, they will be the ones determining how this world will be in the future.
I one for one who is a grandparent raising 2 children from an abused home knows the difficulties of helping and protecting children who can not protect themselves from persons that wish do them harm. Dealing with lawmakers to have legislation changed to protect children better, after all what does it say when you can go to jail for harming an animal for 10-20, but harm a child and you get community service, so many officers, judges, who try to help but their hands are tied by the laws.
I wish I had this group around when I was taking all this on myself, it would have been great to have someone who understands to talk to, take some of the pressure off me mentally and physically, etc.
I will be volunteering my time and vast experience to this organization.
Mark "Sarge" Hutchens
If it can keep one drunk driver off the road it's fantastic. But i want more, i wish there were no drunk drivers at all!! So keep the good work guys, love it/ Hasse Dahlgren Sweden
SSuch a wonderful organization...should be alot more organizations like this out there also makes peopleunderstand the dangers on the roads.
I'm A clean & sober rider . I live today With the help of others that came befor me . we are never alone .
My 14 year old daughter was killed by a drunk driver in 2011. It's great to see groups taking initiative to change he worlds views on drinking and driving. Be the one to save a life......support this cause.
B.A.D.D. is another great organization that helps get the word out about driving while intoxicated... My family was forever changed nearly 28 years ago when my father was taken at the hands of a drunk driver. And even today, it is still amazing how people still refer to a drunk driving incident as an accident! It is not accident when one drinks and gets in or on a motorized vehicle. God Bless B.A.D.D. for the work they do!
And now, the state of Texas has chosen to give a 16 year old ten (10) years probation for taking the life of four people with a B.A.C. of nearly three times the legal limit!
B.A.D.D., we still have work to do!
One of my good friends was killed by a drunk driver. She always loved bikes and was active in our own towns rides and fund raisers! I kno her family was devastated by this tragedy and that's why I believe in BADD!
This is a great group of people, with a very worthy cause. I used to ride drunk all the time, not any more! sober a year & half today! and very grateful.
As the wife of a law enforcement officer and a former police dispatcher I know to well what happens to everyone working on a drunk driver crash. From the drunk driver, the victims family, the wrecker driver, the ambulance paramedics, the fire department, the radio dispatcher, the police officer and the public. It's everyone's responsibility to help prevent this.
I have always been a supporter of anyone against drunk drivers. I lost my girlfriend to a drunk driver two tears ago. BADD has been supported by my family ever since.
lotsa good folks have been affected by drunk driving.many tragic.what a great cause to promote.proud to promote and help all those in need.thanks for being you..
It is a good organization that helps spread the word and helps others that have been hurt or kill by someone who drinks and drives.
This is a great organization, what they promote and the help they provide people with problems and the support they give the families that have had lost loved ones is great.
I'm still new to BADD, but they do tremendous work. They spread awareness about the dangers of, and help victims of drunk driving. Ride safe, brothers.
I'm in law enforcement and have delivered many death notifications. It is the hardest most painful thing to tell a family. I don't know of many families that haven't been affected by a drunk driver accident in some way or another. The driver as well as the family of the victim lives with it everyday of their life.
Recently found this group and have been reading about the good things they are doing. This is something that can get the word out to the public in a positive manner! Although being new, I look forward to be able to donate or volunteer if I can.
Car or Bike it doesn't matter. If you drink and drive (ride) your putting your life and anyone you come in contact with life in danger. It's just stupid! I've lost 2 good friends to drinking and driving (riding). Call a friend or family member. I love to have a drink with my buddies to. But I don't ride afterward. Think BEFORE you drink!
this is a awesome group I got a DUI in 2005 I spent two yrs without drinking to see If I had a problem today I ride sober cause I choose too I didn't hurt anyone But I could have . And I thank god for that . today I ride with the patriot rider's and that is our policy no Alcohol till the kick stand's are down and would be a honor to wear this patch I sure hope you make more cause I know of a few brothers who will want one
Used to ride drunk.even crashed.Somehow I survived . Been Sober 24 years,Rode with a Clean & Sober club for quite awhile. Always try to promote safe Sober Riding. Thanks BADD!
It's a great thing to do had a friend from work that got in a bad wreck and it wasn't a drunk driver but the awareness neededs to be pushed out there that we are there keep looking.
Great organization that serves a great cause. Something all drivers should get behind, bikers or not.
B.A.D.D. is an organisation long overdue... God Bless You for Helping The Victims Of Drunk Drivers..
I have not volunteered with this group but have been amazed by the stories I read about their work. They are always moving in to help with no hesitation.
This is such a wonderful organization! I'm so glad men and women like this exist being the victim of a drunk driver as well as a former emergency responder I can't stress enough how great it is that they are here doing what they do..
This is a very good organization and I fully support their efforts to curb drunk driving. In my lifetime I have lost way too many family members and friends to drunk drivers. I hope that someday this group can have chapters in every state in order to get the word out to those that need it the most.
I think B.A.D.D. does a great service helping those that have been hurt by drunk drivers it is a great thing to have people help you when all looks lost my hat off for all of you
I think you guys are doing a great job helping those who have been injured by drunk drivers tell their stories I ride a harley myself and I've seen some near misses of my own and others. Keep on with the exceptional work you do!!!!!!!!!!!
I think there doing a great service here we need to think and be responsible not just for our selfs but for others
I am a biker celebrating 10 years of sobriety on January 27, 2014. There is a double standard when it comes to prosecuting drunk drivers who cause a fatality. If a car driver is killed, good chance the drunk will be prosecuted. If a biker is killed, "Oh well. He had it coming. Should know better than to ride a motorcycle." Thanks to the dedicated efforts of BADD, that standard is changing. Proud to be a part of that effort.
B.A.D.D. is an awesome organization. Very helpful and caring! My brother was hit by a drunk driver on his Harley Davidson in South Dakota (Sturgis). He suffers from a traumatic brain injury and requires 24/7 care. I have met some of the most amazing people through organizations such as B.A.D.D. Bikers are angels on two wheels. God Bless the families affected by Drunk Drivers.
I agree with this organization. I fully support what they are doing. I have only been riding for a year but have lost two friends to drunk drivers already. There needs to be more groups like this out there.
I think that what these people are doing is wonderful i only wish that i could do more as a recovering drunk with over 27 years sorberty i know both sides only by the grace of god i did not hurt or kill some one i'll do every thing in my power to help this cause who knows i ride a lot and enjoy it but i could be killed or hurt today if you ride please ride sorber and support these people all you can johnny l. clark jr.
My daughter Jennifer Justice was killed Sept 25, 2011 by her drunk boyfriend of 3 weeks. She didnt know he had a criminal past. 4 DUIs 1 with open container. She had met him on a online dating site. He had a good family where his grandpa owned a trucking Co and grandmother who was a school teache, and he was enrolled in Lenoir rhyme private colleg for occupational therapist, she was to start nursing school Jan 2012. . Little did she know they had been paying him out of trouble time and to.e again. He had also been thrown out of virginia tech college for poor grades and staying drunk and on other drugs. They had went to see Carolina panthers and Jacksonville jaguars. This man thin 28 yrs of drank beer then drove over 100 mph with, my 21 yr old daughter. My daughter was the onlyone killed. 3 other ppl were injured in another vvehicle. He only got 3 yrs probation and right before his sentencing he got another DUI, and tested positive for cocain. He cont violating laws with little done. Our laws need to change and more stiff incarceration of these lawless villagers. My Jenny never had annything on her record, not even a speeding ticket.
I used to be a drunk. Thankfully I never killed anyone or myself even when on my bike. I did get run over by a bike when I was 24 and almost lost my left foot. So much for keggers under the bridge. Took a long time to get sober, never had a bike during that time but one. Used to watch them all go by and it killed me. Finally 2 mo clean I see this dude at a meeting on a beautiful ride and said if I'm gonna do this I'm gonna ride. Took a combination of 6 yrs to get my license and enough money to afford a bike after the rest of my priorities. I cant loose the freedom of the road again. NO one starts out to be a danger on the road and there are a lot more than drunk drivers we have to deal with yet this is a great place to start as it not only helps save bikers it saves a lot of others also.
My heart goes out to anyone who has lost someone to such a senseless act. This organization not only raises awareness but helps those affected. The amount of compassion shown by these wonderful people proves that good people do exsist and restores faith in humanity. We could all take a lesson from organizations like this and learn to help each other in our times of need. Amazing organization. Keep up the awesome job!
Have lost several people to drunk driving and think anyone that helps try to keep it from happening to someone else is awesome
Lost a childhood friend to a Drunk Driver. Took many years to get back on the bike. Groups like these get out the awareness and the mindset is definitely changing. Too bad the laws here were not like in Europe. Germany for example is .02. Nobody drives drunk, it is just the mindset. Met some of the folks at rally's and they are awesome people! Got most of the members in my local hog chapter to get the patch!!
As an ex-biker , I have found the guys and girls at B.A.D.D. Very charitable and caring for the less fortunate. They do a lot for people in need and they put others before themselves , I have nothing but respect for what they are doing. Keep up the good work guys.
This is the best organization. The hard work and dedication and LOVE of life shows in everything that they do. Every time that I get a chance to interact with B.A.D.D. , it is a AWESOME and fruitful experience. I am proud to be a biker and proud to support them!
My daughter lost a very dear classmate in Sept of 2011. They were just weeks into their sophomore year in college when he and his girlfriend were struck by a drunk driver while enjoying a beautiful fall afternoon on his motorcycle. These young kids were exceptional students with big dreams and the ability and motivation to change people and the world. Our communities are still heartbroken that they were taken from this world too soon. BADD is such a great organization as awareness is key and promoting that awareness is exactly what BADD is all about. Keep up all the hard work ~ you are reaching many!!
I feel that this has always been a wonderful Organization, more people that are not knowledgeable about B.A.D.D. should be aware of what they do and can help for any community as well as families. I am proud of how and what they do . I just wish drunk drivers would do and change so many lives would not be lost because of addictions that they refuse to deal with ,life is wonderful drug and drinking free. B.A.D.D. keep doing what you do and keep getting the word out there stay blessed.
Watching an organisation like B.A.D.D over here in europe is delivering a great inspiration and motivation to fight any alcohol related incident, no matter if in traffic or else. Unfortunately over here are occuring way too much things related to drunk drivers and in most of the cases we, as bikers, are on the short end of the straw. I wish we had such an organisation like B.A.D.D over here.
Keep up the great work.
Regards from Switzerland
Olaf
If it wasn't for these people, drivers out there wouldn't know about the bikers who have lost their lives to drunks on the road. It's a great organization to be a part of and make people aware of the problems we all face with this growing problem. Thank you for all your hard work.
Ray Kasza.
My 8 year old son was run over and killed in 1996. The man was not legally intoxicated and was never charged with anything.
I enjoy reading about what all B.A.D.D. does to keep our roadways safe. As a biker chic who rides her own motorcycle, I always love to find things to belong to and be a part of things that actually matter.
Keep up the fight!
Great Organization!!! Love everything you are all about!!!! It breaks my heart any time I see anyone a victim of a drunk driver!! Keep up the good work getting the word out there!!
I had a friend in high school who was killed by a drunk driver and it was one of the worst feelings in the world when it happened!! So many people are affected by it, not just the victim and the offender... Think of the families and friends and loved ones!!!
Great organization! A friend if mine was nearly killed by a drunk driver. He is going through multiple surgeries and severe pain. I came across your post and have shared with all my friends. Please keep spreading the word!
Many years ago I was a police officer and had the horrible experience of investigating several fatal bike crashes that involved alcohol. Those visions of what I saw are forever etched in my memory. I always told myself that when I started riding again (I was off bikes at the time while raising my kids) I would not drink and have sworn off alcohol entirely. It oftentimes only ends in heartache and despair for the victim's family and I never wanted to put my friends and family in that position.
My cousin was killed by a DRUNK DRIVER and didn't even stop. He left a wife and three kids and his large family that loved him. He wanted me to ride with him but I had to work and was going to meet him the next day. I am so glad you have this club against Drunks. Keep up the good work.
This is a great organization with a lot of awesome people there for you when you need them, as a fellow biker, this is a very good cause. Let's keep spreading the word to help keep our roads safe and drunk drivers off the roadways.
B.A.D.D is an awesome organization I fully stand behind there cause and I would drop everything at anytime to help them!
When I read what all you do, it brings me to tears so many times. I have been a big supporter of not drinking and driving for 25 years. Never thought that it would happen to me that something bad would happen by drinking. I was all about the partying, drinking, having a good time. Then...my best friend was killed by a drunk driver. Haven't picked up drink since. I think of him everyday even now. He also rode...he loved his motorcycle. Was so proud of it. He is a big reason why I ride now. So I just wanted to give a shout out to ya'll. You help so many in so many ways. Please keep doing what you are doing. *big hugs*
---Danielle
This group is great! I follow their stories online & love how interactive they are with everyone! Thanks BADD for all you do!!
I love the message of this group. They do such great work promoting a safe & responsible putting. I wish more groups had such a positive message.
As a biker and a member of a motorcycle ministry, I know first hand the impact accidents have on families of bikers and others. BADD is taking an active role in helping those who have been hit by a drunken driver while at the same time brining about awareness of the impact drunk driving can have on others. They have found a need and have filled that need in helping others who have been affected by a tragedy.
The BADD organization is filled with great people....what they stand for is amazing and i love the amazing things they do for families. I read their stories everyday and am inspired by them.
I've known of this great organization for quite a while and have never known any other that's raises awareness about the biker community and safety as well as help bikers in need. I've heard bad things being said and found none of it to be true but as they say no good deed goes unpunished and the only ones who wanna bring you down are the ones below you not willing to work as hard. I think this is a great organization and I hope its around for many years to come. Thank you BADD for all you do...MLL&R
My friend Frank was hit by a drunk unlicensed driver and lost his leg.It is a blessing that he has adjusted and will ride again thanks to the help and support of his friends and family. It is wonderful to have a group like your getting the word out and making people aware that we all do care. Thank you Michael
I have read several stories of BADD and they brought a tear to my eye. they do the public good and help out Families and or the Victim. Keep up the Great work.
I've only recently been introduced to B.A.D.D. via a very good friend of mine through Facebook. But I can tell through reading the posts and the stories on the website this organization is truly committed to helping those who have been the victims of drunk drivers. The care and compassion they show is remarkable. All though I am relatively new to keeping up with this organization I have been telling all of my biker friends and I hope you do too!
Myself and my parents are avid bike riders we have been incredibly blessed to have never been in an accident but in my short life I have seen the damage a bike accident can do and how it can destroy a family. I have lost a few friends to careless mistakes of others and I am overjoyed that there is a group out there that can handle not only the physical but emotional damage of motorcycle accidents caused by drunk drivers. You truly make a difference!
This is a great cause. I had a good friend that was killed by a drunk drive in a 3/4 ton pick up. The more we can get the word out and if it saves one life it is worth it.

I thank this is a great way to put the word out there for everyone to watch out for drunk drivers. Ppl die every single day cuz someone wants to play stupid with others life. Keep up the good work.
Drinking and driving takes too many lives! BADD is the leader in awareness! I dont know anyone personally from this group but I believe in what they stand for. Lets all spread the word and keep the roads safe for anyone who uses public motorways!
I haven't had a chance to talk to or work with anybody from this group personally, but this group is great at raising awareness. My whole family rides and all have kids and grandkids. It always a worry while riding that somebody intoxicated or simply not paying will wipe out one or all of our riders. I feel it is very important to raise awareness throughout the country to watch out for riders. I preach it to everyone that I can. Thank you for raising awareness and keeping our biker brothers and sisters safe.
I had the opportunity to meet a few members of this organization when I was in Daytona several months ago. What a great bunch of people and the cause they support is so important. I am a member of the Patriot Guard Riders and currently serve as their flag wagon. So many riders have suffered life changing situations when they run across a drunk driver. Maybe the biker down was a good friend or a brother or sister or father or mother, but whatever the case it changes your life forever. What Danny Perkins is doing here is awesome. Thank you
Awesome people doing great things! It's one thing to talk about a cause it totally another to do something about it. These people do both. I'm am proud to be a part of this group.
BIKERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVERS I am glad to see a group of bikers doing something for alcohol awareness. I see a lot of cars and bikes at bars and it is obvious they will driving impaired or intoxicated.
Now there is a group of bikers raising awareness for drinking and driving.
God bless all of you!!!
Brian Keaton
P.S. anytime you come to Toledo Look me up I will ride with you!!!
There is nothing better than standing up for us bikers against drunk drivers. My wife has had a few friends die from drunk driving or be killed by a drunk driver. All cars should have a tester to keep them from driving intoxicated. Thank you for a awesome organization!
I lost my brother bout ten years ago on his springer from a drunk driver four times over the legal limit,I'm so glad your organization does what it does for the community's.....
I believe in BADD and fully support them and believe they are doing a great thing in helping victims of drunk driving. My 14 year old niece was killed by a high driver (inhalants) and we volunteered with MADD for 6 years. My husband rides a motorcycle and I constantly worry about drunk drivers. With the help of BADD I can rest at ease knowing bikers looking out for each other.
My entire family proudly supports Bikers Against Drunk Drivers. We all ride, right down to my 11 year old Son. We wear the patches, display the bumper stickers on our personal and my company vehicles I also have a link to BADD on my company Web-site. The work that Danny and the staff at BADD do to support the needs of victims and their families is without equal. I honestly believe in and wholeheartedly recommend supporting this non-profit organization, you might need them someday. Although we have not required the service that BADD provides, we have been victims and understand the hardship. BADD can help you if you truly need them. This is a stand up organization and Danny is a stand up guy!
B.A.D.D. is great organization that's I have enjoyed learning about. They are very informative and seem to genuinely care about our biker world and people we love to ride with... Ease friend BADD and find out just how special they are..

I do all my getting around on my bike.Cannot drive car,but almost always come across impaired drivers on the road and have even confronted a couple on the road because a good friend of my son was killed by a drunk driver at age 16.didn't even get a chance at life. All for a good time but people need to be responsible!
I've had the pleasure of meeting many B.A.D.D. club members; each member had been outstanding and a pleasure to meet. It has also been my pleasure to ride with a few, though I have never been part of any charity runs or such, though I do look forward to it!
This organization has gone far and above to help so many effected by drunk driving. Without said help many families wouldve been left alone to deal with the aftermath of the tragedy. Thank you B.A.D.D. for your service and support!!
As a rider myself I have had a few close calls and even pondered over the thought of hanging my helmet up for good. I have been very lucky to have not been in an acsident thus far. I finally came to terms with my self and decided I just plain love to ride. It really gets me when I hear off a drunk driver taking out a fellow rider. We riders have enough to worry about out in the tragic let alone drunk drivers as well. My heart goes out to the family's that have lost a loved one do to the selfishness of a careless drunk behind the wheel. B.A.D.D is a great non profit organization that helps family's of victims to get through the hard times. I support it and plan to donate with my next check!!
My best friend was killed on a motorcycle by a drunk driver the guy did a yr in prison for manslaughter but I lost my best friend. I'm glad to see an organization doing something to help others with their loses of stupid decisions other people are making. Motorcycles are the greatest thing in the world if more people rode they might be smarter when they get behind the wheel.
Hi my name is Hannah Yazzie. I know how the family feels my brother was killed by a drunk driver while riding his bike on dec 1 2012 coming back from a Christmas Toy drive. Sadly the laws here in New Mexico are not strict. The drunk driver was sentenced 2 years and probation and this was his 5th DUI.
Up to this point Im blessed with not losing a loved one to drunk driving. I have been touched by all the stories and how BADD has stepped up to help those in need.
I just learned of this organization but as a former law enforcement officer, I am for anyone that is against drunk driving
It is absolutely amazing to see this wonderful foundation. Having had a couple of family members suffer gruesome motorcycle accidents due to drunk drivers and being a bike enthusiast myself I'm truly touched by this foundation and the amazing things that they do
As a victim of a drunk driver myself, it is absolutely awesome to see a group like this! biker sometimes have "stigmas" that come along with them, and it's so great to see them doing something that can change the world! and speaking out against something that definitely needs to change in this society.
thanks for all you do!
This has got to be one of the best non-profit organizations ever created. You are there for those who have suffered a terrible loss. It's good to know that there is someone who is there for them. I had a very close friend killed by a drunk driver. It was a terrible loss for me, and catastrophic for his family. At that time, there was no one to turn to except each other. You are exceptional people.
I want to say Thank you for having such a great organization. I had learned of your nonprofit organization through a search engine when I was finding ways to cope with the loss of my 25 yr. old cousin , Samuel Tramell of Rockport, Texas that was hit by a drunk driver. It's nice to know you're not alone when it comes to something like this. Thank you again.
I love the work Bikers Against Drunk Drivers are doing. I wholeheartedly believe in their cause. I lost a brother in a drunk driving accident. Any person that takes the time to make sure others don't suffer from a loss like I have experienced are a god send. I believe BADD is tireless in their efforts to bring awareness and do a great service to communities in America! I just love their organization! I smile every time I see a post from them on Facebook!!

B.A.D.D is the best non profit organization arounf, it helps people whom loved whom been victims of drunk driver.
I get stuck in these stories for hours. I found myself putting myself in other people's shoes and how amazing it must have felt to have such an awesome organization there for support at such a desperate time. Keep up the amazing and selfless work! Good bless you all!
just heard about this organization....its a pleasure to support it ..havent had any friends been involved in drunk drivers but lots hurt from drinking to much and getting on their scooters....we gotta ride responsible ....if there is any memebrs in the east texas area let me know....
Lost a good friend right after graduation due to drinking and driving, it was 3 days after we graduated and that was 28 yrs ago! Could only imagine what could have been if he made the right choice. Groups like B.A.D.D. Can help help one person understand how this can effect a family and stop this insanity is well worth every effort any one of us can put forth. Thank you
Just 3wks ago I was involved in a car accident with someone that had been drinking. We struck the side wall of an overpass while in a curve. We both walked away without a single scratch. Taught me a life lesson for sure. I am surly a true believer!! I support you with my life!!
My brother was 18..thought he was ready to conquer the world. He was at a friends house drinking and decided to leave.he went 85 down his local highway and lost control while trying to do a wheelie and flipped over 400 feet. He would be 30 next year
Excellent cause, we need to keep alcohol off the roads! I don't like to even ride with fellow bikers who stop and pound a beer and get back on their bikes let alone in the car. We need to band together and make stand! Thanks BADD for what you do!
I served as an attorney in Arkansas for 16 years, a Director of a Substance abuse center and a Board Member of another Treatment Center and have been a Biker for 10 years. I have witnessed the devastation caused Bikers and members of the public by drinking and driving for 45 years. Please stop the insanity!
I think B.A.D.D. is a wonderful organization. The number of people killed or injured because of drunk drivers is unbelievable. I don't think that enough is being done to end drunk driving and bring awareness to the matter is very important. When I was 19 years old I saw an 18 year old girl run over and killed by a drunk driver. 25 years later and if I close my eyes I can still see the whole scene. All I could think was that it could've been me and all the things that that girl missed out on in her life because some idiot chose to drink and drive. The stupidity needs to end. B.A.D.D. is bring more light to that subject.
such a great organization. need so many more people to help spread the awarness as they do, they have help so many people in time of need and grief. keep up the great work
My fathers parents were killed on their way home from visiting their youngest son at his military base. Their bike was hit by a young man who was drunk driving his pickup truck with a full cab and bed of drunk friends. My grandparents, who I never met, were killed instantly. One blown stoplight took away my chance of ever knowing these wonderful people. It took away my grandmother's greatest wish, to have a granddaughter to spoil (she was the mother of three boys). It left my father, and the tender age of 21, in charge of two younger brothers aged 17 & 19. Thank you, thank you, thank YOU for being a support system and voice for victims effected by drunk drivers. You are heroes. I only wish you would have been around 30 years ago.
I have lost both friends and family members to this senseless act. This organization is needed more than people know. Awareness is the key to change.
I completely feel your pain. I lost my only child to a 4 time dwindling offender. She was 17. She had just graduated from high and was attending college. It has been 3 years since she was murdered at the hands of a sorry piece of crap. The hurt is still so real. I am there are awareness groups like this. Keep up the good work.
I really appreciate what this page does. They help a lot of people. Such a great feeling to see this kind of support.
Really digging this site. Awareness is crucial. I lost a blood brother as well as several brothers of the road to drunk drivers. Blatantly guilty chick that killed my little brother walked due to "officers discrepancy." Not to mention the fact that her step dad was an affluent "citizen" of our small local community. Keep up the good work my friends and know that you have my support.
Ride safe!
Thanks
At the age of 19 I was deprived of my best friend by a drunk driver, right in front of me. As a owner of a motorcycle one of my biggest fears are the drunks that drive. Not enough can be done to prevent this foolish act. Right on and ride on with your campaign.

I have been a biker all my life,,been called names like dirt bag,no good biker, all kind of stuff, ive had lot of biker friends that have been killed by drunk drivers,BADD is a very good and caring org. that not only helps injured and needy bikers but there families to,reading the story about how they helped jack regansfamily with the arrangements for his funeral brout a tear to my eye,,not everyday u hear of an org. helping in the way yall did.want to say god bless u all and from 1 biker to another ty from the bottom of my heart, reading thru ur website I truly believe all of u are sent by god to help fellow bikers and people in need, like nikki youngs story and others I read there with out hesitatation u all stepped up and supported her in her time of need, few yrs ago I lost one my best friends to a drunk that ran red light and t boned him on his bike, I ended up selling my lawn mower business and other stuff and his wife had sell bout everything to come up wit money for his burial,,wish I would of known bout yall back then,i know in my heart yall would of helped us.once again ty all for the loving and caring for fellow man and women
I have seen great community support for this cause. It hits home with every single person. Fantastic group
I think we have all (or at least most of us) had experience with drunk drivers within our riding groups. I've known riders across three states who have been victims of drunk drivers and left behind grieving friends and family that just don't know how to cope. Having a group like this to help bring awareness to the issue is always a big help. Knowing that someone, individual or group, cares enough to take as much action as ya'll do is very inspiring and really helps the families of riders lost.
So glad to know there exists an organization like B.A.D.D. to help someone affected by drunken driving. My loss of friends to someone's impaired & deadly decision has been devastating to those left behind. I'm encouraged to know such a great organization such as B.A.D.D. stepped up to help Jack's wife when she needed the help. Thank you & I'm proud to support this cause in any way I can.
Bikers are always helping people in need and it comes from deep within, without regards to personal gain or profit. B.A.D.D. not only helps raise awareness of the problems with drunk drivers but helps victims and their families that have been affected by drunk drivers.
I have lost family due to drinking and driving. It melts my heart to know bikers are there for us. Bikers get a bad rap but these guys get a a in my book.
I LIVE IN NJ AND IM A MEMBER OF THE HERO CAMPAIGN WHICH ALSO IS A GREAT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THOSE KILLED BY DRUNK DRIVERS BUT AS PERSON WHO LOVES BIKES EVEN THOUGH I CANT AFFORD TO OWN ONE ITS JUST MY LIFE DREAM I GOT TO SAY THIS ORGANIZATION CAUGHT MY ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY IM STILL LEARNING ALL THE GOOD THEY HAVE DONE AND THE HELP THEY HAVE PROVIDED AND SUPPORT THEY SEND OUT TO THE BIKER COMMUNITY AND FAMILIES THAT NEED IT AT THE MOST CRUCIAL TIMES .. FRIENDS AND FAMILY ALWAYS TELL YOU THEY WILL BE THERE FOR YOU BUT SOMETIMES ITS THOSE YOU DONT KNOW LIKE B.A.D.D.. THAT ARE THE ONES THAT COME THROUGH WHEN A PERSON IS AT THERE LOWEST N SADDEST POINT IN LIFE OF LOOSING A LOVED ONE TO SENSLESS STUPIDNESS ... I SAY THIS IS A GREAT GROUP AND IL BE SURE TO SUPPORT YOU GUYS N GALS HERE IN NJ ......... THERE IS ALSO A GROUP THAT RIDES IN EACH IN HONOR OF MY COUSIN KENNETH TIETJEN 1653 KILLED ON 9 11 01 ITS CALLED THE BLUE VALOR RUN
This is an awesome organization helping those who really need it. If your going to drink don't DRIVE!
Thank you for your hard work and compassionate hearts♥
C'mon people...there is no better cause to support than a group that helps people who need it so badly!
I HAVE SEEN EVERY PERSON I KNOW IN MY TOWN GO DOWN ON A MOTORCYCLE. AND SOME BECAUSE OF ALCHOHOL. ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS LOST HIS WIFE BECAUSE THEY WHERE BOTH DRUNK AS A SKUNK, AND SHE PASSED OUT ON THE BACK OF HIS BIKE. AS SHE FELT HERSELF FALLING SHE GRABS ONTO HIM TO RIGHT HERSELF, BUT PULLED HIM OFF TO RESULTING IN HER DEATH. SERIOUS INJURY TO HIMSELF, AND A YEAR AFTER THE FACT HIS HOUSE WAS STORMED EARLY ONE MORNING BY THE POLICE, AND HE WAS CHARGED WITH DUI MANSLAUGHTER. HE IS ONE OF THE MOST KIND DECENT MEN I HAVE EVER KNOWN, BUT WHEN YOU MIX ALCHOHOL WITH TWO WHEELS. A SAINT WOULD DO THE SAME THING. SO DONT DO IT. CALL A CAB. OR BETTER YET ASK ANOTHER BIKER TO HELP YOU GET HOME. THEY ARE ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP A BRO GET HOME. THEY HAVE SEEN MANY OF THIER OWN FRIENDS FALL VICTIM TO DRUNK DRIVING. I MYSELF HAVE PICKED UP MANY CRASHED BIKES WITH MY TRAILER. SEEN TO OF MY FRIENDS GRIND THIER FACES INTO THE STEET. ONE OF WICH LOOKED LIKE A SKULL FACE WHEN I ROLLED HIM OVER. ITS NOT WORTH IT. I WAS A PRESIDENT OF ONE OF THE BIGGEST BADDEST MCs IN THE COUNTRY, AND INTERNATIONALLY, AND WE HAVE BYE LAWS THAT INFLICT SERIOUS DICIPLIN TO ANY MEMBER THAT ALLOWS ANOTHER BROTHER TO DRIVE HOME DRUNK.
Bikers are so much more then the bike they ride an this jus shows what big hearts they have. Im blessed to have bikers in my family.
Groups like this help out more people than your government ever will people look so down on bikers and bikers are nothing like television makes them out to be. They are usually the most polite and generous group of people and so kid friendly to youngesters. Have you ever seen a biker not wave at a child , nope. I feel as a biker this group helps the people in need in there time of great need.
6years ago when my father was hit on his motorcycle by an impaired driver I never realized there were so many ppl facing the same tragedies every day. I'm glad to know there are ppl out here that support bikers and their families.
BADD shows that not all of us bikers are not drunks! This is a chance for us to show the community the faults of drinking and driving!
as a former member of law enforcement and emergency services I have seen first hand The devastation left behind by drunk drivers it is awesome to see an organization so committed to complete strangers and so willing to help those in need as a motorcycle rider myself it is good to know there are people like this in the world
I haven't been on a motorcycle in years due to a spinal cord injury from a wreck, however I still love them just the same. My husband and son are avid motorcycle riders. Not enough people give respect to bikes on the road. An just as many people get on bikes and drive after having a few. It's great to see ya all bring awareness to this topic. I hope BADD reach world wide. Great cause, behind this 100% Spreading the word and thank you :)
Every year innocent people; kids, young, middle aged as well as old people loose their lives because of drunk drivers. Lots of tragic cases - Just because some people can't control themselves.
BADD is a genious movement and should get support world wide. I live in Sweden, work in both Norway and Finland and support BADD!!!
I have lost friends and have had friends get paralyzed because of drunk drivers , this group is one of the best groups that I have seen about bringing awareness to the problems of drunk driving
We need more people like this, more awareness on the roads. Ive lost 2 close friends to drunk cage drivers already. I dont wanna lose any more. Please people, start seeing motorcycles and stop driving hammered! Your in a cage surrounded by airbags and steel, we have nothing but the leathers were wearing to protect us!!
This world needs more people like this and less drunks driving the road. I have so many people in my life who have been affected by drunk driving. The BADD organization is doing such a great thing.
I would like to thank all of u for what u do people don't thank about what they do to family when they reck. Or. Even there own I wish there was more people like y'all to help thers y'all are a blessing. Thank you. Hope every one has a great holiday
I am a victim of a drunk driver myself while riding my motorcycle. My Brother in law was killed in front of me on his bike by the same driver. I am SO glad to see that there is an Organization such as this . People tend to have certain ideas about "Bikers" but they are among some of the MOST caring and Giving people . Thank Goodness for this Group !
This organization does so much for people and their families. They go beyond anyone expectations. Thank you
Great nonprofit for an ever better cause. I've had 2 friends hit by a drunk drivers. Very painful experience. These folks really do a lot of good. And I'm honored to be associated with them.
Bikers against drunk drivers is a wonderful group of people. I grew up around bikes so I don't understand why there's this aweful stereotype that bikers are these big beastly people when in all reality bikers are some of the most gentle n loving people I kno and this group goes above and beyond for the families of people who have been devastated by the loss caused by a drunk driver. This is truely a great group of people who give above and beyond =]
Loving caring bikers with the biggest hearts ever. BIKERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVERS are true angels here on earth.
I am a nurse. I have seen many tragic cases where victims were claimed due to drunken drivers. The devastation is nearly unbearable because of loss of innocence. I applaud this organization for the efforts to assist with the families that fall victim to such tragedy. Kudos fellas!
I myself am a health care professional, yet I ride a bike. people seem to have a negative attitude towards me at times when they see me get off my bike. they just label me as a "biker", and make assumptions of my character. So I am glad to see an organization such as this helping to change the image or so called stereotype of us bikers. I will do anything I can to help your mission, Thanks B.A.D.D.
the only store i have is that the one i saw on facebook. Once i read it it made me fill good that there are good people left in this world.A i have nothing but RESPECT 4 wat yall do and i respect all my brothers and sistrs out there.
never a better group of great people, these guys go above and beyond support and service to the families of drunk driving victims, big thanks for all you do, keep up the great work, Much Respect to one and all..
These guys are great people and they love to help who they can, I wanna see and become apart of the B.A.D.D. and help them grow and be noiced around the world.
I have been following these guys on Facebook for awhile now. I just read one of their posts from a client, and I am truly amazed at what they have done for the family. As an EMT provider in NY, I have seen my share of accidents involving motorcycles. I would love to see this group grow and move up North into NY.
Greetings from a brazilian biker!! I have seen you on Key West for the first time and was suprised for the wonderful idea.. The transmitted message from you guys is very important to save lives. I would bring this campaign to Brazil and motivate all the drivers since here the rating of car accidents involving drunk drivers is 20% of all, and most of all with fatal victims. Congratulations and continue active! Im with you in this task.. Mauro Mussak Monteiro
I have been following the charity for years and just recently was directed to the report. It seems to me, that anyone sensible can see that BADD's major mandate is awareness and that they are present at major bike rallies and other important locations, doing preventative awareness programs.
I'd like to state that I had followed the founders request, in response on a site, to look at his history and success story at DannyPerkins.com and it is clear to me he had much success before expanding BADD into the state of Florida.
I suggest anyone wanting to slander the cause do their homework first.
Much success to this great cause!

I first heard of BADD from their awareness program in Daytona Beach, during Bike Week.
But I believe they are present at all major bike events in the US.
We had 3 members of our club run into from a drunk driver at 11am in the morning on our usual Sunday ride. BADD without hesitation responded to our request for medical help, for our downed brothers and helped with the medical and legal bills.
We did not know where to turn and we would have never been able to get help swiftly enough to save our friends health.
BADD's help was sufficient enough to get them back on their feet and feeding their families again with a job.
We feel blessed by BADD'S action and fear that this terrible issue is underestimated in our society.
We want to start our own sober riders group in remembrance of what happened.
During BikeWeek Dayotna, They're had been 'Dont Drink And Ride' signs in the city around the area where the event took place, which is one of the biggest events for motorcyclists in the world. I believe them to be the only organization we see at these events doing anything to prevent drunk driving and since our accident, we feel it is crucial for this to be done.
Thank you BADD, for watching over us!
Shame on you Biker Events and WESH 2 News for a one sided hack report.
I was in cancer treatment and recovery when the reporter approached me.
I explained I would answer all questions when I was up to it.
He immediately started showing up with cameras at our sponsors etc.
I also supplied him with 2 of our latest victims, he chose to only talk about one of them and
not Jack Regan who we paid his entire 8700.00 funeral costs.
I can only guess because his grieving widow was not up to doing a live Interview.
BADD is transparent and always has been.
While its true we raised close to 900K last year, what was not reported was we have a healthy victims fund.
We pay 7600.00 a month to be at Destination Daytona, 6000.00 a month in Key West, 5500.00 a month in Branson Mo. and the list goes on.
Annual Prizes are 275,000. Then theres the staff that works 12 hours a day in the rain or shine at all our locations which add up to 300K in salaries. Thats over 800K and I have not touched on printing, bills etc.
There is no money left.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out

My name is Dan Regan. I am Jack Regan's brother.
As you are well aware my brother was killed by a drunk driver in the early morning hours of September 7, 2013. My sister-in-law called with the news and my first reaction was disbelief. After going through a range of emotions for several hours, responsibility set in. My brothers and I realized we have to help Debbie, Jack's wife, with the agony of planning a funeral. I was dispatched to Florida to assist.
I do not recall whether I was on route or on the ground in Florida when I received news the arrangements were all being handled. I was more than a little confused, what happened?
What happened was your organization, completely and without hesitation or question, stepped up and assisted Jack's wife in this agonizing process.
I simply can't thank you and your organization enough.

Officials from two of the largest non-profit charity watch dogs in the United States reviewed BADD's returns and said they don't add up. Berger says he would give BADD a zero rating. Investigators wanted to hear directly from the charity's founder, Danny Perkins, but after more than a month of trying it didn't happen.
Investigators found most of the charity's donations are NOT going to help victims. According to state records, in 2012 BADD took in about $879,000, but gave less than (1%) one percent -- about $8,700 -- to victims. In 2010, BADD reported about $912,000 in total revenue while giving only 0.2 percent -- just $2,400 -- to victims.
Perkins lives in this "ultra luxury" high rise with a woman named Wahida Benferhat, who coincidentally is listed as the charity's director. Records show Benferhat bought the condo worth about $950,000 in March. According to the property appraiser, there is no mortgage, which suggests the nearly $1 million condo was paid for in cash. Records show Perkins also owns a 27-foot pleasure boat similar to one that, according to the state, is registered under the charity's name. http://www.wesh.com/news/central-florida/volusia-county/biker-charity-badd-reported-different-revenue-to-state-and-irs/-/12983450/23191750/-/110pqbez/-/index.html#at_pco=smlty-1.0&at_tot=4&at_ab=per-12&at_pos=4

Bikers Against Drunk Drivers is a participating sponsor of the Conklin Center for the Blind’s Night for Sight. They have sponsored this event for several years - they also participate in the event. Community support is crucial to our mission to serve blind adults and children to make the transition to independence. Their assistance is greatly appreciated. Denise Harlow – Conklin Center to the Blind.
I am in high school and B.A.D.D. helped me with my health fair project by donating patches and bumper stickers. They were very helpful and are a benefit to all those whom come into contact with them.
BADD helped me get my story out there . A story that needed to be heard . As the victim who had life threatening injuries I still face a long recovery after 5 years . I have received an amazing amount of support , encouragement and prayers that I know will help me through those days I defeated . Big Shout out to BADD mad love and respect
Billy Wyatt is someone with a dream and vision and has managed to bring it to fruition on his Facebook page. He is always adding stories, whether heartwarming or devastating....updating his logo...and holy cow he actually reads the posts people leave behind....no one else has ever done that before. I was shocked when he left a reply on a post I made. If you are looking for a genuine NonProfit that actually cares about their cause then get involved with Bikers Against Drunk Drivers...Stand with Billy Wyatt because he has no problem standing with you.
B.A.D.D. Mission to help overcome the grief causes by carless Drunk Drivers is very commendable. This non profit raises awareness and supports those touched by tragedy through wonderful fund raisers.
B.A.D.D. is an amazing non-profitable organization that helps save lives by reducing the amount of drunk drivers on the road from all the great Awareness they spread all over the World in malls and at many events, including online on Facebook and other sites. Which I always follow and support 'cause it's such a great cause that is badly needed. To many lives get taken from drunk drivers. I lost many friends from drunk drivers, including one last year when he was out riding a month before he was going to get married. He was hit and killed by a drunk driver. His family didn't need help with funeral costs Etc, but if they did, they would of contacted B.A.D.D. because not only do they spread awareness, they help out so many families in need with funeral costs, while families await other compensation to cover the costs. So I thank you Danny, Dida & Billy and his son Jeremy , who I always see at St. Laurent Shopping Mall here in Ottawa, Ont. Spreading awareness and when they hold the bike raffles. Which I always support and always there to purchase 'cause it's for such a needed cause and B.A.D.D. does such a great job in what they do. That I'm proud to support them and would refer them to anyone. Thank You B.A.D.D. for all what you do and keep up the great work. Dan.
Hard to explain how great it is to be the 2013 Grand Prize Winner !!! My experience with B.A.D.D., Danny and Didia has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. I am so thankful for my beautiful Cobra and custom motorcycle but more thankful for the opportunity to meet 2 of the most dedicated people to a most needed cause of supporting victims of bikers hit by drunk drivers. When my husband and I purchased the tickets in Key West over Christmas, I had not heard of B.A.D.D. After spending time with the volunteer and learning about Danny and his charity we were happy to support with our donation. Had no idea we would actually win anything, much less the GRAND PRIZE. I will always support this wonderful and much needed charity and thank everyone who works so hard to help us who enjoy riding so much. Thanks again Danny!! We love you and what you're all about. Hope to see you soon. Joy and Rodney
Firstly - I Thank the BADD Crew very much for sending me there BADD patch ...... very kind to send it all the way to Australia ..... and hopefully your work will spread through Australia eventually and make more people aware !!!!!
I think the guys are doing an awesome job and service and i commend them all on there effects ....
We've all been affected by drunk drivers in some way and finally someone is trying to make many aware .
Kind Regards Ray
Thank you BADD located at Destination Daytona.
In 2009 Scout Troop # 1864 had a cookie booth set up outside Daytona Harley-Davidson
on feb 14th.
The purpose of the cookie booth is to teach the girls responsibility and social skills in addition
to raising money to do activities throughout the year. Many troops depend on cookie sales
to be able to participate in major activities such as Camporee or sleepovers at the Orlando
Science Center. We are one of those troops
On that Saturday, we had been outside the shop for 4 hours. Sales did not go as planned and we had many cases
of cookies left.
Enter Danny Perkins- our soon to be hero. He bought the remaining boxes of cookies for just under $400.00.
Because of his generosity, our troop was able to have the funds to go the Orlando Science Center for a fantastic sleepover
experience.
Again, our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Perkins and the entire BADD team for their support. At a time when nothing in the economy
is looking good, it is nice to know that there are still people out there willing to help.
Thank you guys for all your hard work raising funds for your cause. We were In Key West over the summer and ran into you across from the Hard Rock Cafe. You were great at getting people involved and putting out the word.
Good Luck and God Bless
Yvette Valle
My family whom love & enjoy riding have been coming to Florida every year for the last 10 years during bike week , they have been donating to B.A.D.D every year , we have lost a family member to a drunk driver , and are very supportive of this cause . Keep up the hard work & dedication . ;)
I have known b.a.d.d. for over 6 years now, and have seen first hand the amount of hard work and dedication that Danny and his wife put in each day. Even with the struggles and the fight of battling cancer he was putting off his own health to make b.a.d.d. his first priority.
About the person that wrote the negative comments, it seems that they were employed by b.a.d.d. and is a disgruntled person. I think this is very despicable, and they need to grow up and get a life.
Keep up all the hard work you do Danny and Dida !!!!!
He was gone in an instant. Our daughter, Dawn, was seven weeks pregnant when her world was shattered completely, by a drunk driver. Merciful God snatched Brandon away before he felt the impact. But Dawn spent her pregnancy in profound grief instead of joy. B.A.D.D. was the ONLY organization that reached out to help Dawn, and I don't know she would have survived without B.A.D.D. standing WITH her, in moral support and donation pledges. Sophia was born healthy on 8/8/2013, a double infinity and auspicious date, and she is Brandon head-to-toe. She is thriving and Dawn is recovering. We hope that B.A.D.D. will continue to thrive like Sophia. The donations they take in support MORE than billboards and Public Service Announcements, they actually HELP the survivors of these tragic, preventable deaths.
We are certainly honored to have met and talked with this group. A truly inspiring and motivating group of folks!! We look forward to assisting in any way possible for the years to come. Continue to drive on and help make this world a better one, one person at a time!!
I started helping out with an amazing charity called "bikers against drunk drivers" back in 2009. Growing up around motorcycles made this a perfect fit for me, and the cause really hit close to home as I have lost a few friends in my life due to drunk drivers. The experience of helping out the charity gave me a great appreciation for the power of people coming together to do what is right. The looks on the winners faces also made the raffle part of it so much fun and rewarding. Meeting people on a daily basis that had either known someone affected by a drunk driver that had been helped by B.A.D.D, had seen the episode of Dr. Phil where B.A.D.D was featured, or had known someone that was riding around a Harley they won in the yearly raffle at Bruce's Destination Daytona, made instant connections between strangers. I had met many many winners of the charity and have so many pictures from my meetings with people affected by the cause and people blessed with a winning ticket. I had the honor of spending a lot of quality time with a man that was badly injured in a crash. We helped out at the same time and it was really great to hear the inside of all the help he was receiving for his unfortunate accident. There is a powerful thing that happens when you take tough guys that ride big loud bikes and unwrap the layers of scars and leather to see we are all alike inside, and can band together to make a difference to those less fortunate. My experience with Bikers Against Drunk Drivers changed my life, and taught me what the word Brother really means.
B.A.D.D. went above and beyond my expectations! Truley a godsend well worth the time and effort!Danny Perkins has made this organization work for the less fortunate, while tirelessly pursuing the quest.
BADD PURCHASED SOME BIKES FROM US AND WE WERE ASTONISHED ON HOW FAST WE WERE PAID....I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN OR TO REFER THEM TO ANYONE ELSE
I currently work for b.a.d.d at destination daytona and to be honest I have no complaints. I get treated well and his organization helps a lot of ppl. It's easy to bash someone you don't like. We have all had boss 's we don't like or don't agree with but if your not incharge you do what your told. It's like that anywhere you work. Danny has been nothing but decent to me. Bottom line he is the boss run things the way he wants it done. Kinda simple I think, but that's just my opinion
Thank you and BADD for all the support you have given me! I wanted to let you know that over the three day weekend we were able to raise a total of $11,000 with $1,267 of that being cash donations onsite. I was sure to let everyone that I talked to that B.A.D.D. had given me the means to pay my COBRA for the year. Everyone I talked with was blown away by the generosity. I look foward to starting this new chapter in my life and look forward to the challenge of learning to walk again on my prosthetic. I am going to keep you updated on my progress and hopefully if you every get up this way it would be nice to meet you face to face. Thank You again for everything that you guys have done. I can't say thank you enough and I hope I was able to point some people in your direction to help with the cause.
As a volunteer who worked with the organization way back in the lean, early years I have nothing but praise for the outstanding work performed by Danny Perkins and BADD. Certainly, over the years BADD has tirelessly engaged in the battle against drunk driving through prevention by raising public awareness and education. I personally assisted at BADD presentations given to youth camps where the effects and dangers of drunk driving were made so very clear. BADD is also one of very few organizations that actually provides much needed moral and financial support to drunk driving victims.
DG
For a long time I have been aware of BADD. I have been a volunteer for them in Daytona, Miami and Key West and have seen first hand how this organization has helped so many people that have been victims of drunk drivers. I have been an international mediator for many non profits since 2001 and am impressed at the professionalism I have experienced in my time with BADD. Founder Danny Perkins expects nothing but the best out of his volunteers and settles for nothing less. This nonprofit has lasted over 28 years because of the ( work hard ethic ) placed by its founder. Any one who has had the opportunity to see how many people this organization has helped would understand how important this charity really is.
I was riding bikes for years, and I know many people that had bikes that are not with us anymore, many of them lost there lives to drunk drivers over the years, Fathers, Mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, and great friends all.
B.A.D.D. does an outstanding job making people aware that drink and driving don't mix, I can only imagine the number of lives B.A.D.D. have saved just by making people think, and that is a number that no one will ever know, and with the advertising, website and social media, there will be a lot of lives saved in the future thanks to the fantastic work B.A.D.D. do
At the start I said I was riding, I myself was hit back in 2008, and I will never work again, but I survived and I am delighted to be here to see my grand-kids grow up
My Name is Dino Gaspari and i've been a supporter of BADD for the last 28 years.Approaximately10 of those 28 years i volunteered working primarily as a PR meet and greet rep,at the time BADD was setting up meetings for me with rock stars worldwide who were supporting the cause. I've also been riding a motorcycle since 1979 and have seen my share of people killed or seriously injured in that time including close friends. This is why BADD is so important.I know the founder Danny Perkins invested his whole life to this cause and is doing more to raise awareness of the effects of drunk driving than anyone i know.I also know he remarried recently and his wife is well to do which may explain his apparent wealth. His aim and dedication to the cause of raising awareness has never waivered and he remains as dedicated now as ever.He has not only been true to the cause over the last 28 years but has always be true to me.Help raise awareness against drunk driving.support BADD!
My name is Melissa Landry, two years ago my husband and i won the grand prize from Bikers Against Drunk Drivers B.A.D.D. We donated our last $ 80.00 on that day in October. On March 18 2012 we got a phone call saying we had won and we had to come down and claim our prize. We drove over to B.A.D.D and wow what a surprise. Danny Perkins told us that we won Grand Prize! M y husband had to choose what we wanted. We where in shock! after he picked what he wanted. Talking with Danny Perkins . I asked what i can do for the charity in return for all this! He Said You can Volunteer! Come back in and talk with me.So i did and i started Volunteering in May of 2012. to help raise awareness and for victims. I have lost several friends from drunk drivers in the past years. So i believe in the Charity! And i know it works.
I have helped with this charity in the Daytona area and in Key West Florida. And everywhere i go i find myself supporting this charity! Even when I'm not there volunteering! I have several friends also that support Bikers Against Drunk Drivers.
I have bumpers stickers on my car i have people ask me about the charity and I take the time to explain to them because I DO BELIEVE IN THIS CHARITY!
Thank you Danny Perkins for allowing me to get involved in this Great Charity!
My good friend was killed by a drunk driver when I was in University.
I help as many charities I can to fight against drunk driving since then.
I started helping out Badd in Key West where the city and the local Hard Rock Cafe were dedicated to ensuring Badd's presence in this touristic town, on it's main strip named Duval.
Passing patches, stickers and their presence sponsored by Harley-Davidson were part of the awareness program I helped with.
I noticed how much of an impact I could do with BADD publicly, so have been for 5 years now.
I then continued helping in Daytona Beach and found the non-profit to be very well organized and had good spirited people to volunteer with.
I had heard from Badd on the Doctor Phil show years ago.
I like the fact they mix media together making their fight against drunk driving serious but entertaining.
Ive helped much charities and I must say the founder, the board of directors and volunteers where down to earth, kind and loved what they did, passionately.
I feel Badd's impact is important and also rare, what I love mostly is the, person-to-person awareness.
The presence with the public as they are drinking or could be during events and simply in general.
Working with the public on a daily basis, even if it's one life we can save a day it was worth my time entirely.
I wish only the best to Badd and will continuously help as long as I can.
A great organisation, doing work to raise awareness of the perils of drunk driving and helping those affected by it. They have a really high profile in the motorcycling community and have been doing great work in the field for years.
Keep up the good work, guys.
Just wanted to say that you guys have an amazing cause.... I was in a near fatal motorcycle crash in 2005. I was hit head on by a drunk driver and it left me with a below knee amputation. Since then I have started back riding and also came to work in the prosthetic field where I am a certified amputee counselor. The job is the most rewarding thing I have ever experienced.
On June 17th my father and I decided to take a ride to a custom shop to check the progress of my show truck. It was a warm day and seemed to be a perfect day for a ride. We left home and everything seemed great, I knew my dad didn't like to ride through town so I decided to take back roads so he didn't have to stop at so many red lights.
When we turned on Hwy 521 I was riding ahead of him on the left side of our lane and he trailed behind me in the right hand side of our lane. I don't remember this part but from what I was told a car tried to pass a big truck in the oncoming lane of our road. I guess I was trying to get out of his way cause dad said I locked up the brakes and started to slide towards the side of the road when he struck me on my left side. The impact threw me straight into the air and threw my bike towards my dad, he barely missed my bike and actually drove under me while I was in the air. The only part of the accident I remember is laying in my dad's lap and saying "dad my leg hurts" his response was simple and I can still hear him saying it. He said "I know baby but don't worry cause I have you"... I was airlifted to Columbia memorial hospital.
My injuries consisted of my left foot crushed, left fibula was broke and torn through the skin, my left tibial was broke and torn through the skin, my left elbow was broke, my right wrist was crushed. And I had a ton of road rash.
I stayed in the hospital for 2 months trying to save what was left of my leg and in the end decided to amputate due to infection. The decision was a pretty hard one to make, but I knew it had to be done. I left there and went through a few months of physical therapy. I started to regain enough strength to start doing normal thing such as bathing by myself and things in that order.
The therapy helped my dad alot to, he would come pick me up and take me there giving him time to recover from the accident. It was around Christmas when the doc finally gave the ok to start with a prosthetic leg. I went to the place that I now work" Palmetto Prosthesis and Orthotics. www.palmettoprosthetics.com . The owner, John Moyd was the one I met with and his 1st words was don't worry your gonna do great.
After getting my leg and doing a few more months of therapy I got back to "normal" and noticed that I not only was walking again and doing everything I once did but I had a new found drive to do more, during this time I went in for an adjustment to my prosthetic leg and John asked if I had ever considered working in the prosthetic field. I started out as a trial for a week just to see if I liked it.. That was 7 years ago and I never left.
Since then I have been certified through the amputee coalition of America as an amputee consultant. I now build prosthetic limbs and go talk to new amputees about what they are looking forward to and actually get to help them through this process. I have met alot of amazing people and have seen folks do some amazing things. I also started racing atv's and then racing go carts and pretty much anything that was fast and tested my abilities as an amputee.
It took 5 years but I finally got back on a bike again, since then I have rode to the mountains twice, to Florida once and went on countless more rides. I just recently sold my bike, but not because I couldn't ride but because I have a 5 year old little girl and I don't want to chance missing out on any of her life.... Looking back you may think I'm crazy but June 17th was the start of a new and better life and I wouldn't change a thing.........
