Results: Do not let our name fool you, we don’t just recycle, we aim to change the economic disadvantages of schools and programs in red-lined districts.
Art of Recycle collects new and gently used resources and redistributes those resources to classrooms, public and private schools, home school co-ops, non-profit organizations, youth groups, after-school programs, senior homes and to programs that assist with providing access to educational and recreational activities for individuals with special needs. We assist programs with limited funding to receive the resources they need to keep their programs running. Each year we provide over $500,000 in resources to classrooms with students in need across the tri-state area and beyond.
A huge thank you to the people who donated to Art of Recycle during the Extra Give in November of 2023. $1926 adds up to 55 free memberships to our teacher resource center for non-profits and teachers and it will impact all of the children and the adults that they will be assisting, for the entire year of 2024.
That adds up to one month’s worth of rent for that program’s building. Just the building that contains the free resources, not the big Art center or the store.
What will $1926 do? It will create this fantastic web of impact throughout our communities. That money doesn’t cover the payroll for the staff that maintain the teacher resource center, it won’t cover the rest of the year’s rent, it isn’t enough to cover the cost of any of the overhead associated with that program, but that small amount changes the lives of many.
Organizations, big and small; school teachers from public and private schools; local events, senior home activity directors, youth groups, libraries, and other programs that need resources in order to make their programs better, more efficient, more impactful will receive those free memberships that will give them access to free educational resources for an entire year.
Those memberships will impact every person that those organizations are assisting, and $1926 will improve the lives of up to 30,000 people or more.
Every year, Art of Recycle’s programs impacts the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and that is why we work so hard to keep this program running. Thank you so much for your support! It will make an amazing difference in our communities and we will keep this program running and improving it everyday. It is our passion.
