Roberta Carson of Zaggo Inc. is a dedicated professional on a mission to help others avoid the maze of confusion associated with a serious condition or injury. The ZaggoCare system can be helpful from the moment a diagnosis is received. The blog and social media posts about the medical healthcare environment are alway thoughtfully written with the patient and caregiver in mind, to provide helpful and current information.
Zaggocare plays such a critical role in supporting families navigating the challenges of chronic and long-term illness.
Roberta and the Zaggo team are working tirelessly to give families the tools and support they need to navigate and cope with healthcare challenges. Roberta is an inspiration and the world is a better place for having her and Zaggo in it.
Zaggo was invaluable when we were helping my elderly father with some difficult medical issues. I don't know how we would have been able to manage his ever-changing medical needs or kept on top of all the information without it. Zaggo is a godsend. Highly recommend it.
Passion and practicality are a powerful combination, and Roberta Carson’s Zaggo is based on both. I’ve been involved with the business for roughly 10 years now and am very happy and proud to assist Roberta in her focused and tireless efforts to raise money for cancer research. She has taken her own family tragedy and organizational skills to develop a product and educational tools to deliver valuable and calming help to people facing major, often life-changing situations. I have gifted the ZaggoCare tools on more than one occasion, and each time my friends have been very appreciative. When your head is swimming with important information about your or your loved one’s condition, ZaggoCare provides palpable relief, and improved control of the situation.
The ZaggoCare system is an invaluable asset to patients, families, and caregivers dealing with the complexities of new diagnoses, as well as those managing chronic conditions. I’ll admit that I’m somewhat biased in that I have known Roberta since childhood and was around through Zachary’s illness, so I’m well aware of how the family came to recognize the importance of a “system” to manage care.
But… I can also speak from personal experience, after spending 3 weeks in the hospital last year. It seemed I had every diagnostic test known to man run, and had meetings with a multitude of specialists during my time in the hospital and the months since. I now fully appreciate the critical role that accurate documentation of symptoms, medication doses, and information that is being passed on from doctors truly has on patient outcomes. Fortunately, Roberta dropped off the ZaggoCare system in the early days of my medical journey, and it helped me navigate my way through days when I was overwhelmed and my head was spinning, with all that I was trying to absorb.
I currently see multiple specialists from different medical doctrines, at different facilities, and they are always impressed with how organized I am and how easily I can pull up information about changes in medication or specifics from past appts with different doctors. This is all thanks to advice and tools that I received through the ZaggoCare system. I know that I am a better advocate for myself thanks to ZaggoCare and can’t recommend it highly enough!
When faced with personal tragedy, many of us would turn inward to grieve and heal. Others, like Roberta Carson, turned the tragic death of her teenage son Zach into a passionate mission to guide family/friend caregivers, who are unexpectedly thrust into that role, through the navigation of the healthcare system and advocate for their loved one. As President of Zaggo, Roberta developed the ZaggoCare system that is a remarkable product to use when caring for someone who is critically ill, suffers from a chronic ailment, or is recovering from a tragic accident. ZaggoCare's practical tips and tools are lifelines to the family/friend caregiver. I used ZaggoCare to care for my dad during his decline from congestive heart failure. It kept me organized with dad's meds and appointments, suggested practical and insightful questions to ask dad's medical team, and gave me confidence that I could give dad the best care at home that was possible as a non-medical person. While dad's medical team was not with me 24/7, ZaggoCare was. In this new era when more and more health care responsibilities fall onto the shoulders of the patient's family/friends, each of us needs the guidance that ZaggoCare provides. The more people use ZaggoCare, the more people are empowered to fulfill the critical role of family/friend caregiver and do so with competence.
I've been working with Zaggo and serving on the Board since May 2006. It has been an honor and a privilege to work with this team of brilliant individuals and stand behind a product that I believe is essential in helping anyone with a chronic or severe illness to manage their care.
While the Zaggo System was not available when my husband was going through his cancer treatments 22 years ago, as his caregiver during that time, I would have valued a system such as this more than anything had it been available.
The Carsons have worked tirelessly to bring their passion of Zaggo, Inc. to fruition and making this organization a success. I cannot imagine being anywhere except by their sides to provide my assistance wherever needed.
