Programs: The naeyc- accredited child development center provides high-quality early care and education for infants through 4 year-olds in a diverse enviornment. The child development center's educational philosophy is based on a contemporary understanding of how children develop and learn. We strive to create safe, nurturing, child-centered environments that are age-appropriate. We are concerned with all aspects of a child's development, including the emotional, social, physical, cognitive and creative. Respct for individual needs and the development of self-esteem in each child is fostered. The multi-ethnic emphasis of the ymca encourages familiarity with and respect for all cultures. We support and work with parents as the primary caregivers for their children.
the yw empowerment center at the ywca of greenville provides leadership, self-esteem and business scumen skills and mentorship to young and adult women in greenville county seeking to be leaders in the community and in business. Helps women succeed in establishing and developing businesses. Helps women achieve high level management positions in greenville companies inventories, grows and ecourages the number of women leaders in greenville. Cultivates leaders beginning in middle school helps women develop the concept of power and ceonomic self-sufficiency.
